TA for Tank, namely Kurt Tank the designer, who went to Argentina post 1945 and designed their jets, i had a book about his life story.

    Rather carelessly parked spitfire?

With these pointed wings, long nose and air intake on the right side, it was definitely a Ta-152 H. Funny they appeared so early and at such an odd place.

Taffy in a Tiffy. While this aircraft did lead to the Tempest II, that did not fly as an interceptor but as another ground attack fighter in the post war RAF. The Tempest V flew as a fighter, however, as it entered service before war end.

I wish B17 looked more like this, that would make a cracking series again or even the "very old" Dam Busters game would be fantastic!

The Typhoon is a good aircraft, but I prefer the Tempest! Good stuff, Taff, to get two Jerries.

I was just watching old Top Gear and I noticed you kind of sound similar to James May. Thanks for the video.

Those were also my thoughts with the FW 190 D. The wings were very narrow and long, so more like a Ta 152 (Ta from Kurt Tank, not TU from Andreij Tupolew). Good fight, btw.

Typhoons and Tempests are my favorite WW2 era prop planes! Edit: That tower pass had my stomach in my throat!

Welcome back to IL-2 taff, and thanks so much for showcasing the Hawker Typhoon, that is one truly iconic fighter - obviously it was replaced by the more lethal Tempest, but non the less this is one of the most iconic warbirds of the allies. If you love air strikes and air to ground operations with a dash of dogfighting I say this is one of the best to fly - had that much fun with this aircraft I've lost count of the operations. This plane would be incredible for a possible future series - just a suggestion that's all. Great episode regardless, loved it.. keep these utterly incredible episodes coming and happy gaming mate.

Yeah Taff, that was a flight of TA-152s that took off and you shot one down. Technically, you got one of the rarer kills of the war.

      "Roger Top Hat"
I always remember "Never fly level for more than 30 seconds in the combat zone"
      "Where have you been?"
      "Learning to swim"
      "Did you get one?"
"All i got was a bellyful of English channel"
Very lucky to get picked up alive, they reckon over 400 aircrew were lost due to lack of decent ASR assets, sickening when you think that Lawrence of Arabia as Aircraftman Shaw had worked on 3 engined HSL's before 1935 for that very ASR role, such a waste of vital lives.
      Great movie.
