SS is in the top 3 of my list. It was so unique and the characters were great. The fighting was a bit frustrating (looking at you Grilled Cheese) but that final fight? Just, damn.
TotK is like going back to your old house that's been redecorated. The new furniture is fabulous and you appreciate all the tiny changes made to the place. Even though it probably is, objectively, the best place you've ever lived in, you know the place already, and it's hard to compare with a completely new place, or the first time you moved in to that old house. Overall, I think the Zelda team progressively makes better games because they try to implement new ideas in every new entry (the reason I appreciate Majora's Mask and Skyward Sword a ton, also BotW with the openworld spin). And technologically the Zelda games have become increasingly impressive. A game like TotK on an essentially 2015 hardware? It still blows my mind how this game runs as well as it does. And the physics. Never in my life could I have imagined that Zelda would become the best open-world physics simulator out there. I can't wait for future Zelda games, which will probably have new worlds to explore and inherit the solid mechanics from BotW and TotK. No game can please everyone, but I think the future of Zelda is full of possibilities. Edit: It's amazing how close my list is to Quin's. The only change would probably be switching Twilight Princess with TotK, and Wind Waker and OoT would be a tie. Obviously, personal opinion.
Honestly man… I don’t wanna sound like a hater, but I just don’t understand why people like TOTK so much. Cause to me it’s not even objectively better than BOTW because it just doesn’t fix some things, it’s not a very consistent sequel, the story makes no sense, the main villain doesn’t show his face for most of the game (they tried to remedy this with the phantom Gannon/hands fights) the cutscene after the champions in TOTK is the exact same FOUR times in a row, the game looks better than BOTW but it has more instances where it chugs and the frames drop than Breath of the wild ever did. There are some characters who remember you and others who don’t, some of which make actually no canonical sense. And worst of all; The game is SEVENTY dollars when it in my opinion does nothing to justify that.
Quin: There wasn’t a ton of stuff until you looked for it, and then there’s a korok seed What he means is that everywhere you go, tiny little demons are spying on you and keeping check on everything you do
When people ask me "whats your favorite Zelda game" i always have to respond with "that depends". I have a favorite Zelda game for every part of what makes a game. Favorite soundtrack, favorite story, favorite gameplay, favorite memories. Im so happy you were able to take the time to sit down and think about where you would place these games, despite it being hard. Thanks Quin!
Mine allways was the current one I was playing. Every game being so different in both art style and combat it what makes this series so great. There is something for every taste
So glad you gave skyward sword a proper placement, I feel like people sleep on it just because it’s the motion control one and they don’t think about the amazing story and dungeons. Also Groose.
for me, it’s the lack of towns. Sky loft is really the only town that’s intact in that game, and really disappointed when i didn’t get to see the other societies.
Amazing story, top 3 dungeons, trash world with no freedom, despite a smaller world than a way darker game like twilight princess, there are no towns. Even tp which is the darkest game in terms of atmosphere feels very alive despite the world being in utter ruin. Wind Waker’s map is 90% flooded yet it might be more alive than BOTW. I just think Skyward Sword could’ve been so much better as an actual game. The motion controls are cool, especially on switch, but the problem with skyward sword is its dead and tiny world.
You have no idea how unbelievably happy i am that you put skyward sword that high. It was my first zelda outside of breath of the wild and it's just so charming, i love all the characters and music and story and sidequests in that game, its just so perfect
I love how you said that in BOTW, you're discoverings things just how Link is relearning everything he knew about his world, because that's how it really feels. You play as this amnesiac hero and you get to discover things and places with him. There's a joy that you get just simply lifting a rock and finding a korok seed in it, or getting in an unknown island, or a pitch black place, and everything is just as new to you as to Link is, and I think that's what made it so beautiful.
having followed the channel throughout your zelda descent, i was very pleased to have guessed many of these!! and i love your energy with the ranking, they’re all s tier, i feel the same way. zelda cynicism is such a huge thing and i don’t really understand why they all can’t be good and beloved. i played them all with no nostalgia after picking up botw and it’s just like, a treasure trove of fantastic games. and then totk capped it all off wonderfully!
You condensed 23 minutes of Midna talk into “goblin” and I don’t know whether to be distraught or impressed, because, yeah, that literally sums it up. 😂 My ranking is practically identical to yours, oddly enough! Though I haven’t played as many of the games as you have. I am still waffling on where TOTK goes because I honestly love it so much. It’s definitely somewhere with my top three favorites-BOTW, TP, and SS. I love them all so much it doesn’t even really matter in the end, and that’s a beautiful thing. 🥰
I remember the first time watching This guy, he called bokoblin as bobkin. Immediately i knew that this guy is a fascinating genius! Since then i have been waiting for new uploads and rest is history. (Keep up the good work)
skyward sword is my all time favourite zelda game and has been since its release so to see you rank it so high and appreciate it as much as i do makes me so very happy. thank you for appreciating it :DD
Hearing you talk about a series you have grown to love so much just fills me with joy. I discovered your channel through your BOTW series and have loved every second I spent on your channel since then. So I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you and this community for this incredible journey up to this day and in days yet to come. So thank you for your dedication, genuineness and just being the way you are. On to many more wonderful videos.❤
I was so nervous because I assumed totk and botw would be one and two, and I was terrified about where twilight princess would end up😭 I agree with this list wholeheartedly
Twilight Princess and Wind Waker(at least for me) have the best music. I'm not saying that the others games music are bad( Gerudo Valley OoT slap till this day)
gosh there is just something about botw -- the loneliness and the tragedy of it and how the environment is scarred and haunted by it, yet it is beautiful and a story about love and overcoming failure. it makes me tear up thinking about it too much lol. it is somehow so cozy and comforting while be to tragic. and link and zelda are so precious in the memories. ugh i just love it so much
HELL YEA I’ve been waiting so long for this 😭 Edit: respect this list for sure. Honestly it’s awesome to see you rank some older Zelda games aboveToTK (tentatively) since BoTW was your intro to the series. Can’t wait to catch up on your ToTK playthrough once I finish mine :)
Thank you for your love of skyward sword! For so long I thought my brain was broken for loving the game (minus the spirit realm… I’ve never been so mad at a game) when every one at the time seemed to hate it.
It's so nice to see you go through the games again and reminiscence! Especially after watching you play them through the years! I haven't played every Zelda games but you've described the ones I have perfectly!
YES! Quin’s love for Skyward Sword makes my heart warmmmm! I rewatch Quin’s whole playlist for SS whenever I’m feeling down. I really appreciate that the thumbnail for BOTW was small green man. Also, I laughed out loud at that intro. “I’m getting closer” + the animated expression? Killed me. 😂🤣 (I do think side quests are very important for TOTK game play-side quests are what get you to re-explore Hyrule. Also, there is quest involving Selmie that I think you’re going to like just because of the excellent shield surfing. 😁)
I love to see skyward sword ranked so high, it's one of my favorite zelda games and I remember how much hate it got when it came out. I'm really happy to see you enjoyed it!
I found your list very fun, interesting, and entertaining. I’d listen to your unedited thoughts. Also the change in tone when speaking about BOTW was cool. The love/importance of that game, from what I felt, was so genuine.
ive been watching your vids for years now and everytime theres one out i go to sleep happier after laughing a bit. I love you and i 100% agree with the skyward sword placement!!!!!
Goblin is a good reason for TP since it also counts to the Bulblins, who turned out to be a neutral party that just followed who they felt was strongest. I still really wish they would have joined Link in the horseback phase, they even wanted the 4 from Telmas do be more active than they were (probably to the amount of sages in dungeons). It also has the scene with Link clearing out a town like its a Western. The Dungeon bosses were also more cinematic while the mid-bosses were actual challenges.
I love your list & I find all your placings to be accurate! My personal list out of the games I've played would be: 1. Botw 2. Oot 3. Totk 4. Skyward sword & 5. Link's awakening TYSM FOR ALL UR CONTENT; I NEVER WOULD HAVE PLAYED THE GAMES I HAVE WITHOUT YOU!!!!
A video you may enjoy with all these Zelda’s under your belt is “Every Zelda is the Darkest Zelda”. Spoilers for the Adventure of Link and a Link Between Worlds if you were planning on visiting those, but just thought you might enjoy it. Love your content and your energy. Keep up the awesome work friend.
Love these types of videos. You somehow get points across better than people with carefully-written scripts, and your personality makes it feel like you're just having a conversation about something you like instead of trying to convince people of your opinions
See that's the thing. All these zelda games really are S tier. Each one is so different and have their own unique twist. It all comes down to personal favorites.
You need to play a link between worlds!! I played it recently and it immediately was in the top 3 for me. They tried lots of new mechanics and it was a fascinating game
We need to have a chat about Majoras Mask being all the way down at 4th place and then sneaked down futher to 5th place. But anyways! You do something that so many do (in this case rank), but you give it the Quin twist which makes it so good! Loved to watch your take on these games 😃
My tier list would go like this 1:Link’s awakening (yes it’s that goated also has the saddest ending ever I still haven’t accepted it) 2: Ocarina of time 3: Minish cap 4: WindWaker 5: A link between worlds 5:
the way I knew you were gonna slide OoT behind majora's mask lol and the fact that you loved the universally hated water temple and still had more fun playing majora's mask makes your ranking even more valid imho also just thinking about all the time you've spent, the fun you've had, and the _millions_ of people you've reached while playing these games makes this series ranking even more special! ☺
I’ve loved watching you discover the world of Zelda games, and this list is awesome! It’s so fun to hear you just gush over everything you love about all of the games. Wind Walker is one of my favorite Zelda games, but I think I’m biased because of nostalgia.
Watching this video makes me realize how long I’ve been watching you channels and enjoying you videos. You introduce new games to me that I would have never even thought could exist. Thanks you for providing such good game selection coupled with hilarious commentary. You brighten my day with each video and I really can’t thank you enough for continued to do what you love and producing high quality content!
Dude, not only is the ranking and reasons great, I really liked the energy throughout the entire video! Resonated with my mind on a molecular level i think
I am once again campaigning for A link between worlds, The dungeons are so good! The main mechanic is cool as hell! The characters are soooo funny you're gonna love them! And if you love discovering koroks you are gonna like the maimais! It's genuinely in my top 3 zelda games of all time
So glad you made this video, o wasn’t apart of the people at king for it but it was so good and it gave me a new perspective on botw and the feeling I felt in that game, thank you quin, also SKYWARD SWORD APPRECIATION
TOTK was my first Zelda game, and I'm so glad that it was because it is so huge and polished, and I had that sense of wonder and exploration since I had never played BOTW. But in general I agree with your list. I think for a lot of people, their favorite depends on which one they started with, hence why so many people say that OoT is their favorite (although I agree that Majora's Mask is better).
I preferred totk over botw bc I didn’t get to explore it myself. I watched someone else explore it for the first time and then when I got it, I already knew where to go, what to do, how to whistle sprint, everything. I didn’t get to explore. But totk reimagined every location. You know that’s there’s something there, but what has completely changed, making you re explore and learn about the stories that have occurred that lead to such a change. It feels like the world has grown up
TotK didn't reimagine every location sufficiently at all tho. After 150 hours in BotW VAST parts of TotK are incredibly recycled - Hebra or Faron still empty, Zora or Goron city almost identical, 90% enemies the exact same from BotW... if you didn't play BotW good for you tho.
09:07 you actually got me to like & subscribe. Loved how you subtly asked half way through in a comedic way rather than most other RUclipsrs who put it in your face throughout
Again, Quin has said something that reminded me to remind him to play rain world. He was talking about how majora’s mask felt like the world would go on even if link wasn’t there, and that is what Rain World is BEST at.
I really want him to play rain world too but I definitely don’t think that is what it does best. I think it’s probably the artsyle/visuals or the creature ai.
I've only played 3 Zelda games. Link's awakening, BoTW, and ToTK. Link's awakening was my very first Zelda game that I played on the gameboy color, so when the remake came out, there was so much nostalgia for me. While I was playing the remake, a coworker highly recommended BoTW and even lended me his copy to play. I wasn't really sold at the beginning but as the story started to unfold, I got hooked and wanted to know more about Zelda lore. took me like 2 years to beat it though. Then of course ToTK came out and I've been playing since day 1. Out of all my games on my Switch, ToTK has the most play time (over 200 hrs) followed by BoTW (about 160 hrs). For the rest of the games, I just come to RUclips and watch you play them, and I enjoy that. I appreciate all that you do. Keep up the good Quin!!
I actually agree. Although I kind of group botw and totk as one mahooosive game. Botw was my first Zelda game as well. I think a lot of people who would have ooc as their favourite of all time, played the older games before botw came out. (Happy to be proven otherwise, wouldn’t be the first time I was horribly wrong) But what I absolutely love about this list or anybody else’s list… they are literally all great games. You have fun no matter which game you decide to play. Not many game series can say that.
calling Majora's Mask "an absolute fever-dream of a video game" is so perfectly apt, especially when followed up with a statement about how lived-in the world feels. genuinely the best Zelda reviews I've ever had the pleasure of listening to, your love for them is apparent in your voice.
Now I’M tearing up a bit hearing so much love shoved at a series that means so much to me. I’m so happy that you’ve enjoyed it so much, as well as loving your videos.
This video was so wholesome! I totally agree on everything about breath of the wild. That game led me to your videos and it made me realize how much I love video games! And I found a whole new community!
Wind waker is my all time FAVORITE video game. No hate to your opinion, but I think it deserves more. Keep up the great work Quin and don't let the demon take over (too much).
This video is like a cup of hot cocoa with whipped cream for my soul. Its so great to see this summary of your journey, and that you look back at it so fondly.
I discovered your channel through the Ocarina of Time playthrough and have been following since then and have been enjoying it so much. Glad to hear you've been enjoying the series as much as you have been
hey Quin, you talking about windwaker made me realize, if you’re looking for a good water based exploration game PLEASE check out Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. it’s genuinely one of my favorite games and has some of the best exploration and water combat i’ve ever seen.
I love skyward sword as a game, and seeing you rank it at number 3 filled my heart with happiness and relief. I will say though, when you referenced the comments reaction to your Oot ranking, you were right. I was dissapointed, I would rank OoT at number 2 or 3, but I can understand why you put it at 5. Also, totk at number 4?? I guess I understand, because it does rehash a lot of botw's elements, and botw was my favorite game of all time, but for me, seeing everything rehashed and expanded into something so much bigger made it my favorite game ever. Botw is a VERY close second though. Btw, love the videos Quin! Seeing your zelda ranking and how much you love the series made me pretty happy as I find other people who have played the older ones don't appreciate them much, as THEY were the games that brought zelda to where it is today.
Its easily the most challenging time of my life right now and Idk how much I appreciate Quin and his content which will never not fail to make me feel better and putting a smile on my face. Lots of love and appreciation for quin for being one of the best and fun humans I've come across on the internet and just having a great vibe and aura . Your content has been saving me for the past year from alot of stress and taking life slow and it certainly is a huge huge part of making me feel lighter right now and I could not appreciate it enough. Thanks Quin, I hope you always stay the same and have all the love and happiness in your life.
Quinbobin appreciating skyward sword for what it is is a nice change seeing that everyone hated it cause of motion controls best story of the entire series as well as the dungeons
Well I as an honorary viewer agree with your list & opinions! I think your explanation on why Tears and Breaths rankings are different is spot on! And that #2 placement, HANDS DOWN, no explanation needed! Im glad you now know and understand the extreme appreciation and love us as Zelda fans have for the franchise! Now rank the music so we can all scream please!
I fully understand minish cap being your favorite 2d zelda, but thats because you havent played a link between worlds. it was absolutely fantastic and a 10/10 and i highly recommend it
I also have similar thoughts with Tears of the Kingdom. Where I like to be thrown into a new world to explore with a new Zelda game. And eventhough TOTK had new areas, it still felt like the same world & the same characters. Of course I still loved the main story & the whole final boss fight, but I don't feel the need to explore or complete the sidequests as much as I did with BOTW or other games. So, for me, Tears of the Kingdom is #6 of the 11 to 12 zelda games I've played(11 or 12 because I tried playing the very first game but couldn't make it very far). My #1 is Twilight Princess, #2 is Spirit Tracks, #3 is Breath of the Wild, #4 is Skyward Sword, & #5 is Phantom Hourglass, as of right now anyway. My first zelda game was Phantom Hourglass, so the two DS games have a special place in my heart. But Spirit Tracks I liked more because of the music, driving the train, having ghost zelda as a companion, playing the pan flute, being able to possess phantoms, & maybe other things I forgot. And I also wonder why Skyward Sword is so hated when it has such an amazing story, great music, & good characters(especially Link & Zelda's relationship, like you said). Plus I loved the Spirit Realm sections, yet I know not everyone did like we did. I can also understand the controls weren't the greatest on the Wii back then, but I personally only had problems when it came to bomb bowling. Though I guess others had more problems that made them forget the good.
BOTW was my first Zelda game like you, and since I’ve found your channel while playing BOTW I’ve played almost all of these games on the list. All while watching your videos on them. I get up to a certain point in the game just so I could watch your video on the same area just to see how you did it or your reaction and it made it so much more fun. All the comments under videos giving tips definitely helps too lol. My list so far is pretty close except I still have to finish majoras mask and twilight princess. If it wasn’t for you I probably wouldn’t have played all of of them so thanks for playing these games with me 😊
Quin I'm glad you play the zelda series as it was a game which I grew up with since I was 4 and still play to this day not only that but I get to almost just share the same feelings with mu favourite youtuber thanks quin ❤🎉😊
I love how much you love breath of the wild! It’s so much fun watching your playthrough cause at the beginning you weren’t sure how much you were gonna like it and then with every new thing you learned you totally fell in love with it and it lead you to all these other games you now love too. And I had a lot of fun watching you play all these games
My personal top 10: 1) Tears of the Kingdom - I already look forward to diving back in with a new playthrough, such a great story, I love the new abilities and how the sky's the limit in terms of how we can use them. It was interesting to go back to a known world, but at the same time having it feel explorable with the changes, the caves, the depths and the sky. 2) Breath of the Wild - that first playthrough was pure magic that I wish I could experience again. I have loved diving back in, but nothing will beat that first time when everything was new and I had no idea what was to come 3) A Link Between Worlds - I love the wall-merging, the way I can tackle the dungeons in any order, the collectables were fun and the rewards felt useful. 4) Wind Waker (HD) - another open one, although it takes a little while for it to truly open up. The quick sail was fantastic, I am so glad I played the HD version and not the original 5) Twilight Princess - not dependent on the HD version, though that was the version I finished. Loved Midna, loved the dungeons. 6) Ocarina of Time - my introduction to Zelda, absolutely adore it, it has really great dungeons, just very little to do outside of the dungeons. 7) Minish Cap - adore it, love the shrinking mechanic 8) Skyward Sword HD - I'm VERY specific with the HD version here, because the motion controls would not work properly for me with the original and it drove me nuts. I also hated the Silent Realms, and I actually stopped playing the original after finding out there would be multiple Silent Realms. I powered through it with the HD version, still not a fan of them, but I am happy I got through them so I could enjoy the rest of the game. 9) Oracle of Seasons - love the season switching mechanic 10) Link's Awakening - cute game, both versions I've played (DX and remake) Out of the rest of the games, the only other one I have finished is Oracle of Ages, so I guess for now that would be my number 11. It was good, but since it and Seasons are so close to one another, I guess it made less of an impact on me, plus I preferred the season changing mechanic to the future/past mechanic. I have tried Majoras Mask multiple times, but while I love the mask abilities in it, I don't really love the rest, especially not the timer, and the sidequests failed to engage me. I can understand why people love it, but it just wasn't for me personally.
I always like to see Skyward Sword get some love. The stretch from the start of the Ancient Cistern through the end of the Pirate Ship is in my opinion the best 5 or so hours of any single-player game I've ever played. 2 of the best dungeons ever with the sand ocean between them. I loved the motion controls and the story as well. I have the same games in the top 3, though in a different order. Totally agree on Minish Cap being the best 2d Zelda. The only thing that made me go 'huh?' was the placement of Tears of the Kingdom, but I've only beaten the tutorial island area so far and haven't gotten to the meat and potatoes of that game yet. In general I prefer the later games from 2005 onward to the earlier games, though I did grow up with the later games and not the earlier ones.
Oooh didn't expect this upload! I love how the way you revealed the games were all over the place, and how they're all S ranks. Which is a mood! It's always a good day when you get to slap grilled cheese" is a picture worthy quote! LOL (I also really like S.S! Might be one of my top 5 Zelda games!) The reason for Twilight Princess made me laugh. What a great list!
Glad to see Majora and WW in the top 10! Love your videos dude ever since I saw your hollow knight let’s play :) May I ask since you’ve played most Zelda games now could I suggest trying the Xenoblade Chronicle or Pikmin games? Lots of smelly goblins (characters) in both games. Obviously I look forward to seeing the totk challenges and other indie games you play but in terms of a big series like Zelda that’s what I would recommend.
oh my GOD this is the first time a zelda ranking has actually aligned with my own opinions. i can’t tell you how excited that makes me!! i still have a lot of zelda games to play but i think skyward sword is SUCH a good fuckin game and botw is forever my love for all the same reasons you said. i felt like there was a lot of botw slander after totk and it makes me so sad SO i’m beyond happy to see the love here 💛
Quin, my three year old son loves this video. He watches me play TOTK and calls it “Elsa” because he can’t say Zelda. He requests this video at least thirty times a day, “mom play the numbers Elsa video!” (Because you have the games ranked by number and the boy knows his numbers) Anyway if you noticed a spike in views between like 5 pm and 7 pm every single day, it’s because of this boy.
The order was actually pretty different to what I expected and you explained it all really well, like I agree with you and also disagree with you lol. Can't wait to see you try even more Zelda games in the future! (Cough cough the cdi games cough cough)
When I saw this vid in my feed, I GEEKED ohmigosh, the zelda franchise means a lot to me so hearing my favorite ytber give his opinions on them and all of it is just essentially gushing for 20 minutes ?? OUgH Ik I was in the right place. I do wish I could've heard more of your thoughts on TP since that's my fav but I think I get the gist of why you like it sm💀😂. But I am Very glad to see Sksw so high up and Minish cap praised as best 2d game iyo (bc same YEAHH) or how you explained botw and totk (I feel very similar abt them as well) and just this entire video made me so happy as a zelda nerd and quin goblin enthusiast XDD !! So glad you made and posted this vid, it really made my day
Instant like for Skyward Sword appreciation, fills my heart with joy
LETS GOOO
Ss I'd one of my top 5, probably on the top
I would say that skyward sword is a up there with totk and botw but deftinantly not better
SS is in the top 3 of my list. It was so unique and the characters were great. The fighting was a bit frustrating (looking at you Grilled Cheese) but that final fight? Just, damn.
Same I love Skyward sword
TotK is like going back to your old house that's been redecorated. The new furniture is fabulous and you appreciate all the tiny changes made to the place. Even though it probably is, objectively, the best place you've ever lived in, you know the place already, and it's hard to compare with a completely new place, or the first time you moved in to that old house.

Well fkng said.
Honestly man… I don’t wanna sound like a hater, but I just don’t understand why people like TOTK so much. And worst of all; The game is SEVENTY dollars when it in my opinion does nothing to justify that.
Totk doesn't run well lmao. You guys need to play more games to raise your performance bar
Quin: There wasn’t a ton of stuff until you looked for it, and then there’s a korok seed
What he means is that everywhere you go, tiny little demons are spying on you and keeping check on everything you do
When people ask me "whats your favorite Zelda game" i always have to respond with "that depends".
There is something for every taste

having followed the channel throughout your zelda descent, i was very pleased to have guessed many of these!! and i love your energy with the ranking, they’re all s tier, i feel the same way. zelda cynicism is such a huge thing and i don’t really understand why they all can’t be good and beloved. i played them all with no nostalgia after picking up botw and it’s just like, a treasure trove of fantastic games. and then totk capped it all off wonderfully!
Held my breath to see where you’d place twilight princess and you did not disappoint
You can already tell the devious Goblin of Quin's Brain will love this
I actually agree with your tier list a lot, like twilight princess being near the top and Majora's mask being better than ocarina of time.
You condensed 23 minutes of Midna talk into “goblin” and I don’t know whether to be distraught or impressed, because, yeah, that literally sums it up. 😂
My ranking is practically identical to yours, oddly enough! 🥰
I remember the first time watching
This guy, he called bokoblin as bobkin. Immediately i knew that this guy is a fascinating genius!
Since then i have been waiting for new uploads and rest is history.
(Keep up the good work)
It was a good day when he said “bobkin” 😂😂
skyward sword is my all time favourite zelda game and has been since its release so to see you rank it so high and appreciate it as much as i do makes me so very happy. thank you for appreciating it :DD
This video makes me so happy, seeing how you love this series, dude, it’s just so nice and *wholesome*
Quin should also make a video where he lists the best music from each Zelda game
Twilight princess would be number one lol
Twilight Princess and Wind Waker(at least for me) have the best music. I'm not saying that the others games music are bad( Gerudo Valley OoT slap till this day)
gosh there is just something about botw -- the loneliness and the tragedy of it and how the environment is scarred and haunted by it, yet it is beautiful and a story about love and overcoming failure. it makes me tear up thinking about it too much lol. it is somehow so cozy and comforting while be to tragic. and link and zelda are so precious in the memories. ugh i just love it so much
HELL YEA I’ve been waiting so long for this 😭
Edit: respect this list for sure.
I completely agree with number 3 skyward is amazing I would do anything to play that game for the first time again
Killed me. 😂🤣
(I do think side quests are very important for TOTK game play-side quests are what get you to re-explore Hyrule.
That Western sequence is still one of my all time favorite video game moments.
It was great hearing about all your zelda experiences. Looking forward to how you find the rest of them!
I love your list & I find all your placings to be accurate!
My personal list out of the games I've played would be:
1. Botw
2. Oot
3. Totk
4. Skyward sword
& 5. Link's awakening
TYSM FOR ALL UR CONTENT; I NEVER WOULD HAVE PLAYED THE GAMES I HAVE WITHOUT YOU!!!!
Totally agree with BotW being first and TotK being 4-5ish! I’ve wished for a long time that I could replay BotW without knowing anything.
I would put TotK even lower for how hugely recycled it is (and for how repetitive Depths are) but otherwise agreed 100%! BotW top-tier.
I played through it the second time without the mini map, and not activating the towers and it made it so fresh again.
I love how positively you speak about each game no matter what number you put them on. 💗💗💗 It's so relatable and something I enjoy.
This video was like a warm cup of tea for the zelda-loving souls. Thank you so much for putting so much love and energy into this series ^.^
My tier list would go like this
1:Link’s awakening (yes it’s that goated also has the saddest ending ever I still haven’t accepted it)
2: Ocarina of time
3: Minish cap
4: WindWaker
5: A link between worlds
5:
the way I knew you were gonna slide OoT behind majora's mask lol
and the fact that you loved the universally hated water temple and still had more fun playing majora's mask makes your ranking even more valid imho
also just thinking about all the time you've spent, the fun you've had, and the _millions_ of people you've reached while playing these games makes this series ranking even more special!
You made a list, you're an official Zelda-tuber now. Congratulations
Just hearing Quinn talk makes me drop my figure on the like button!!😊
Quinn’s “Everybodyyyyyyy” always makes my brain make the good stuff
Dude, not only is the ranking and reasons great, I really liked the energy throughout the entire video! Resonated with my mind on a molecular level i think
First ranking video by Quin and I absolutely loved it. Loved to see your insights on each game.
I'm very glad that you like Skyward Sword! It is definitely one of my favorite Zelda games and the dungeons in it are some of the best!
Sick intro man, "im getting closer" struck the perfect level of fear into my heart
'im getting closer' i think i should be scared
Again, Quin has said something that reminded me to remind him to play rain world. He was talking about how majora’s mask felt like the world would go on even if link wasn’t there, and that is what Rain World is BEST at.
I really want him to play rain world too but I definitely don’t think that is what it does best. I think it’s probably the artsyle/visuals or the creature ai.
@@dogebuttermilk4221 good point, I was just being hyperbolic
(Happy to be proven otherwise, wouldn’t be the first time I was horribly wrong)
But what I absolutely love about this list or anybody else’s list… they are literally all great games.
Thankyou quin for making another video that we have been waiting for im grateful ❤🎉
Glad to hear you've been enjoying the series as much as you have been
hey Quin, you talking about windwaker made me realize, if you’re looking for a good water based exploration game PLEASE check out Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. it’s genuinely one of my favorite games and has some of the best exploration and water combat i’ve ever seen.
the fact that you gave TP second place because “goblin” and didn’t elaborate 😭
Another banging video! Keep it up Quinn!!! 🤙
'Youre allowed to be wrong. 'Wait a second
I would love to watch your play through of majora’s mask. It’s such a dark game, and you have such a cheery personality. It’d be great!
already a full playthrough on the channel!
Predictions before watching:
He will put twilight princess high because it has midna
And rightfully so
Yes.
i am a die hard majoras mask fan, so i immediately liked when you put it that high up!! good taste good taste
This just made me want to go back and watch your playthroughs again.
Skyward sword is my favourite gameplay to rewatch whenever I feel down, it’s such a nice experience with Quin
There’s two types of people out there: ocarina of time people and major as mask people.
I fully understand minish cap being your favorite 2d zelda, but thats because you havent played a link between worlds. it was absolutely fantastic and a 10/10 and i highly recommend it
A ranking video by QuinBoBin himself?! This will be awesome!!
I would put TotK even lower (imo it's VERY overrated) but otherrwise completely agreed
And I had a lot of fun watching you play all these games
i love how the video’s about ranking the games but honestly it’s just quin ranting about how much he loves them
My personal top 10:
1) Tears of the Kingdom - I already look forward to diving back in with a new playthrough, such a great story, I love the new abilities and how the sky's the limit in terms of how we can use them. It was interesting to go back to a known world, but at the same time having it feel explorable with the changes, the caves, the depths and the sky.
2) Breath of the Wild - that first playthrough was pure magic that I wish I could experience again. I have loved diving back in, but nothing will beat that first time when everything was new and I had no idea what was to come
3) A Link Between Worlds - I love the wall-merging, the way I can tackle the dungeons in any order, the collectables were fun and the rewards felt useful.
4) Wind Waker (HD) - another open one, although it takes a little while for it to truly open up. The quick sail was fantastic, I am so glad I played the HD version and not the original
5) Twilight Princess - not dependent on the HD version, though that was the version I finished. Loved Midna, loved the dungeons.
6) Ocarina of Time - my introduction to Zelda, absolutely adore it, it has really great dungeons, just very little to do outside of the dungeons.
7) Minish Cap - adore it, love the shrinking mechanic
8) Skyward Sword HD - I'm VERY specific with the HD version here, because the motion controls would not work properly for me with the original and it drove me nuts. I also hated the Silent Realms, and I actually stopped playing the original after finding out there would be multiple Silent Realms. I powered through it with the HD version, still not a fan of them, but I am happy I got through them so I could enjoy the rest of the game.
9) Oracle of Seasons - love the season switching mechanic
10) Link's Awakening - cute game, both versions I've played (DX and remake)
Out of the rest of the games, the only other one I have finished is Oracle of Ages, so I guess for now that would be my number 11.
Nothing like a Quin video after classes are finished!
Skyward Sword is criminally underrated. My favorite game in the series. I think your placement was spot on!!!
I 100% agree with your list except I enjoyed Twilight princess more than breath of the wild so I'd switch those two. Good video. And have a good day!🎉
Glad to see Majora and WW in the top 10!
Love your videos dude ever since I saw your hollow knight let’s play :)
May I ask since you’ve played most Zelda games now could I suggest trying the Xenoblade Chronicle or Pikmin games? Lots of smelly goblins (characters) in both games.
Obviously I look forward to seeing the totk challenges and other indie games you play but in terms of a big series like Zelda that’s what I would recommend.
oh my GOD this is the first time a zelda ranking has actually aligned with my own opinions. i can’t tell you how excited that makes me!!
i still have a lot of zelda games to play but i think skyward sword is SUCH a good fuckin game and botw is forever my love for all the same reasons you said. i felt like there was a lot of botw slander after totk and it makes me so sad SO i’m beyond happy to see the love here 💛
This list coincides with my own of my favorite videos of yours to watch. All S tier, but scrapping for the number one spot.
Quin, my three year old son loves this video. He watches me play TOTK and calls it “Elsa” because he can’t say Zelda. He requests this video at least thirty times a day, “mom play the numbers Elsa video!” (Because you have the games ranked by number and the boy knows his numbers)
Anyway if you noticed a spike in views between like 5 pm and 7 pm every single day, it’s because of this boy.
All Zelda being S tier is such a mood. It's just about where in S tier you wanna plunk 'em down.
The order was actually pretty different to what I expected and you explained it all really well, like I agree with you and also disagree with you lol. Can't wait to see you try even more Zelda games in the future! (Cough cough the cdi games cough cough)
Skyward sword is my #1 Zelda game and I was kinda worried you were going to put it lower like most do, I’m so glad you appreciate it!
