I tried that and I had a problem with only being able to use the brass once it really kind of distorted my brass even though it shot. My 380s I'll leave to my Glock. But I love that gun
I have had nothing but great experiences with my Taurus revolvers. My first EDC revolver was a Taurus 85CH DAO 357. I never shot 357s through it. My thoughts were this gun is so light and so small that if I fired full power 158 grain 357 in it, I would probably spend 15-20 minutes trying to find where it landed when it flew from my hands. But with Winchester 125 JHP 38 SPL +Ps, it wasn't really that bad. That was about 20 years ago and since then I have added a 6" 357, a 4" 22LR/22WMR Tracker, a pistol that Taurus called the CIA. That's the Carry It Anywhere gun. It is a stainless copy of the S&W 38/638 Bodyguard with a shrouded hammer. The theory being that you could cock the little tiny nub of a hammer if you wanted to take a shot single action. The reality is it takes so much effort to cock that nub of a hammer, that anybody you wanted to shoot would have expired from boredom before you could shoot him. Then I added 2, 454 Casulls to the accumulation of Taurus revolvers a 3" Raging Judge in 410,454,45 and a 8 3/8" Raging Bull. I will tell you that compared to a 6 1/2" S&W model 29 with full power 44 magnums, either Taurus 454 is a joy to shoot. The last revolver from Taurus in my collection is a 2", 7 shot Titanium 357. I fired one cylinder full of I think it was Remington brand 158 grain JHP through that little Titanium terror just to validate my man card. Well let me tell you before I do that again I will learn to walk in heels and vote the straight Democrat ticket. That sucker was not fun. Truthfully the triggers and the finish on my Smiths may be better than on my Taurus revolvers, but dollar for dollar I think you will be hard pressed to find better value than Taurus revolvers.

Love the P-09. Surprisingly I’ve never owned a G26 but I’m sure it’s a Glock lol. I had the 27 once which is the same gun in a .40 cal. It performed fine but very snappy I got rid of it.

I literally got lucky. I wasn’t even looking for it I went into the gun store to look at something else and they happened to be unboxing it and putting it in the showcase
I thought about the 296 but.i try to get the most bang for my bucks so I bought two model 605 fixed sights 357.ive reloaded 43 years so ammunition no big issue even loading 20 calibers. I can successfully reload my primers so if necessary I'm in the game. all my Taurus pistols/ revolvers function flawlessly same as my other brands. my tracker 44 magnum is a dream to shoot. not brutal for me and I'm disabled. I enjoyed your video. Papa 😊
I hope they took time to pick up the casings that I saw him toss to the ground, and maybe pick up the empty ammo boxes as well. I’m not sure about getting a Taurus. They have improved greatly. And, they are more affordable.
This is our private land and yes, we do toss the boxes and the casings on the ground as we are typically at the range filming for sometimes six or seven hours in one sitting, but we do take a rake and black trash bags and rake everything up at the end of the day. It is absolutely astonishing to me. How many people bring up us throwing boxes on the ground lol. I used to have anxiety about Tauruses as well as they would give me nothing but trouble in the past. However, over the last several years, I would say four or five they have been absolutely phenomenal weapons for us. stiff. The guy might be a New World Order bot for all we know. You guys do realize that some companies like RUclips and Google actually pay people to troll or do "click" farms to make you think that people feel a certain way about something. This is why social media is so dangerous. They have literal "click" farms in China where people get paid to click on likes all day for a certain issue whether it be the LGBTQ, going against gun rights or 2A, and a kinds of stuff.
I came very close to buying one of these, but instead got the 44 magnum. I already have 2 9 mm and 3 357, they forgot to tell me it can get addictive when I started buying more than the one 38 special I had in 2018 lol.
I know, right? Buying guns is probably more addictive than nicotine or cocaine. Lol. Thanks for watching and for commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
This is my 2nd trip to the range & 692 9mm cylinder Cakes up quickly! After 42 rounds cylinder wouldn’t turn and I’m using TK moonclips. Removed 6rounds off the moon clip and it turned and fired . Used sig , pmc and then mag tech ammo. Very accurate handgun.
I had the same issue with my 627 Tracker. The little orange sticker came off after...barely 50 rds maybe. Other than that I love it. I just used a little white and then a little bright orange nail polish from my wife's collection to "fix" the front sight. Still haven't taken it back out yet though to see how long the nail polish lasts.
Yeah I just bought some white auto touch up paint and filled it in nicely on my tracker. However this one didn’t come off maybe because my tracker was a 44 magnum not sure. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
That’s a solid question but I think that it’s totally up to practicality and what you intend to use it for! Can’t go wrong with a 9 in most any application though. Thanks for watching Dave, please subscribe if you haven’t already!
Didn't your Revolver come with Moon Clips ? Mine came with 5or6 Clips for 9mm for easy Ejection and fast Reloading. I use Rem. 125 gr.JHP +P .38 SPCL and 124 gr. Winch.9mm both have about the same Velocity and same point of Impact at 15yds. on Paper Targets with my 6 1/6 " Tracker 692 and my .357 Mag. Reloads 160gr. SWC print about 1.5 " different at the same distance. Most of the time I prefer longer distances but 15yds. is O'k for my Carry , 50yds. is more fun.
I have probably 6 to 8 of these Taurus revolvers, Love them all. if you have one and you think the triggers need help Wolf has trigger and hammer springs....Just an FYI

I have four myself and looking to buy twin 460s for my close encounter with big game. Glad to hear you haven't had any problems I haven't either. But I haven't had that large of a caliber yet. 44 is my max so far
Yeah I know but we try to save our brass and we have a bag to the right of where we shoot and we throw them in there taking them out one at a time so they don’t hit the dirt. Thanks for watching
Was considering adding relatively inexpensive 38/357 revolvers to all our gear bags in addition to the G23/23’s with the various other caliber barrels. But also having the 9mm wheel in a revolver might be worthwhile!
Ì was looking at several models of taurus online & yt and the other day went in a lgs they had one of these and i only find "out of stock" online, its in process of coming to my house ! New sub ! Can a holster be recommended ?
I like the Craft Holster open top CH100 but I’m a OWB leather kind of guy with any gun. Thanks for watching and sharing and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Love mine G. Just got it. (Have not shot it yet) Did notice that my moon clips of 9 mm does not fit all the way in and one or two needs to be pushed down or the cylinder won’t close. I have the exact one you have and unfortunately for me they must have been training a newbie the day they made mine and they took too much off the 3” barrel on the left side which makes it look cattywhampus and the barrel hole looks to be not centered. Not attentive with the big belt sander but I doubt it will affect the shooting. I do plan to shoot this one this week. If I find another just like it that has a properly milled barrel, I will probable pick it up. Great vid. New sub. Keep up the great work. //ji John in Oregon
Taurus explicitly warns not to shoot .380 through it so we can’t do that on camera RUclips would demonetize us. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Anytime we question wether or not to do something we will call the manufacturer. We called Taurus and they said even with clips they highly discourage shooting .380 through it and that it would void the warranty. They emailed me a whole dissertation on it lol
Yeah I’ve had other tell me the same. I wasn’t necessarily looking for one but admittedly there’s a local shop where we buy 90% of our guns and I troll their website daily and happen to see it and was intrigued enough to pick it up. I didn’t know it was that difficult to find.
I would carry with the .357. you may be worried about over penetration, but with the correct ammo, this won't happen. If I was carrying a 9mm it would be a higher capacity auto loader. (That's what I actually carry). I have never been interested in wheel guns until recently. I was looking at the Korth, with the extra 9mm cylinder. This looks like a cheaper means to the same end. I know that a lot of people look down on Taurus, but I have never had any of mine let me down.
Nearly impossible, my friend, almost as if they don’t exist. I was very fortunate to find this one. Basically as soon as they put it on the shelf I just happen to be in the store. Thanks for commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
I mean they came with it, but I left them in the little baggie. They came in at home that day when I went to the range and I was not about to drive 45 minutes back to the house to get them. They are not necessary for it to function, it just aids in removing them from the cylinder
I'm not a big revolver guy but have 2 . I've noticed you pull the hammer back a little and free spin the Cylinder I can't do that with my 686+ just wondering how
I’ve never had a revolver that I couldn’t do that with. Of course some spin more freely than others, but just pull the hammer back to release the cylinder and find that sweet spot where the cylinder is free.
When you pull the hammer back (or pull the trigger) the little latch in the lower part of the frame that indexes into the notches in the cylinder gets pulled down and then pops up as you pull the hammer further. If you pull the hammer just to where it lowers that latch, you can spin the cylinder. If you go to far, the latch will pop back up, if you don't pull it far enough it won't lower enough to release the cylinder. Take your revolver and watch it as you pull the hammer slowly. (Obviously while unloaded) You will see how far you need to pull the hammer to spin the cylinder.
@TheCelestialWolf the Cylinders on most of my revolvers rotate clockwise. The one I was trying rotates counter clockwise that's why I couldn't get it to work lol
Yeah that is one downside but if I carried it I would only carry 357 anyway so I’d set it for that and call it a day. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
Because a .38 special is lighter in grain weight and will have 500 to 600 less fps than the parent case of the .357 mag which is heavier with more fps. Basically one will fall faster than the other because of its grain weight and thus contact the target lower. When I was shooting with the .357 magnum I had it dialed in dead center of target. When shooting the .38 special it was hitting high on the target likely because it’s overall lighter and will fall less from gravity during it progress towards the target thus hitting high.
I hope this answers your question as I’m not an expert in that area. I just know what I’ve experienced over the years with shooting .38/.357. It’s always the same you have to adjust up or down depending which one you dialed in first. That’s why I dialed it back in to the .357 magnum because that’s what I will be carrying in the revolver. I’m sure recoil plays a part as well. I found mine at a pawn shop, with both cylinders, 7 moon clips, and a leather paddleback holster. $350 drive-out. It's in my EDC rotation. The sticker was already off the front sight. I replaced it with another, but I really want an aftermarket night-sight. I've heard I could file down a S&W front sight.
@@GSquaredTactical okay I thought so. I've got that before and never knew what it was I was just curious. It wouldn't matter to me I've got a thick skin. Thanks
We was shooting the 9mm from the 9mm cylinder not the 357 cylinder. There’s 2 cylinders with the gun and moon clips for the 9mm cylinder. I was actually more accurate with the 9mm because of the lighter recoil. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
A little heads up for you folks regarding these Taurus wheel guns, do not buy them from any online source, do not buy them absent a thorough inspection, making certain all screws are in place, and not loose, and that the cylinder slop (which all Taurus revolvers have in abundance) is kept to the minimum, and especially pay close attention to the triggers travel, as in make certain its NOT slamming into the trigger guard when pulled!!! My 692 did this, and Taurus tried to tell me such was fine, its not fine, its metal slamming into metal, one a piece of MIM steel, the other forged steel, and sooner or later, the trigger will fracture on you! Indeed after they told me it was in spec, I returned to gun shop and after demonstrating the defect for the gun smith , we then proceeded to inspect every Taurus revolver he had new and for sale, six of them, two 605's, two 856's and a pair of 627 Trackers, three of the wheel guns were fine, and three had exactly the same defect I had, the trigger slamming into the back of the trigger guard on completion of the pull! That is a 50% defect rate on that little issue alone, likely meaning nationwide that half or so of all of their wheel guns are defective right from the box!
That’s for the information and the testimonials of your experience. Hopefully many can learn from it. Please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I am a Brazilian shooter in Brazil. We can not afford a S&W or a Ruger. A Chiappa .357 is completely out of our hand so we have tô adapt and service buying Taurus. I am Just missing a .44 Mag from Taurus. I am ease with Taurus flaws.Cause I can not match " market prices " for the top Guns ". If a coulda, a shoulda buy a S&W 29 model. I am not : " Clint " but I really do my " dirty things '.
It’s been a year sense this video was put out. How is that Taurus working today? Have you had any problems with it jumping out of time or the red site tip flying off?
We just done another video with it against a Colt Python and it’s still been flawless. The sticker hasn’t flew off the sight of this one but I have had that happen on several other Taurus but just painted the sight. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I'm pretty new to guns, but I think the versatility of having a 9mm as well seems very nice. How is it when it comes to accuracy, cleaning, wear and tear when using 9mm? I ask because I know the 9mm is slightly smaller caliber and wonder how that will affect it, as you are using the same barrel. Like I said; I don't know much about guns. 9mm is also the cheapest ammo in my area (and in most, I suppose), so it would be very nice to have that option for practice shooting.
You’ve chosen an expensive fun hobby haha! It’s similar when it comes to 9, just a simple cylinder clean up. Nothing wrong with admitting if you don’t, thanks for the question and comment! Thanks for watching and please subscribe if you haven’t already
Depends on a lot actually. If you are going to shoot it a lot and are looking for something that will hold up to being shot every month for many many years to come get the Ruger. If you aren’t going to shot it that much and looking for something as accurate with a slightly heavier double and single action trigger that will serve the everyday gun carry guy and money is a object then get the Taurus
I recently purchased a new Taurus 942 Ultra Lite Revolver in 22LR. It was defective out of the box, would not ignite any primers. Sent it back to Taurus on Jan. 25, 2024. At the FOUR MONTH mark, and them having no idea when a new 22LR revolver would be ready ship to me,..they offered me a credit towards another Taurus handgun. I chose the TX22 because it seemed to have the least amount of problems of their product line. After a very long detailed discussion with customer service, they sent me an email confirming the TX22 be the replacement Received an email 2 weeks later that the 22 LR REVOLVER was going to be shipped. Reached out to customer service AGAIN…oops they messed up. So the whole process will now start over. It is now August 4, 2024, 6 1/2 months later, after they received the new defective revolver I purchased in January. At this point they have NO CLUE when the TX22 replacement will be available…
I’ve never shot that in it but nothing in the literature or anything I can find online would indicate any ammo restrictions. Thanks for watching and commenting and be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
My wife Never had much issue with the Tauruses she use to own, semi or revolves. Worst thing was a 5$ Fix on a g2c cuz the mag drop wasnt working after a few thousand rounds . Neither of us Never a mechanical issue with the cylinder guns. Maybe a light primer strike. MAYBE.
Heyyyy uhhhh T, might want to watch your right hand thump placement. This isn’t a slide action pistol and there is high pressure gasses coming out at the forcing cone. Normal to not have a finger there on a revolver, it’ll do some damage
man suck it up fellas! I love shooting my smith 69 with 2.75 inch barrel in 44 mag! in fact first time i shot it i had to clint eastwood it with 1 hand my off hand since my strong hand was in a cast! hit my 10 yard target every time. what a sweet gun!!! the only thing i was able to buy with my dearly departed dads money that was left to me. about 1 grand!!!!!

Haha well that’s not a bad thing need a good shot to have my six lol. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. Thanks again
Taurus needs to be more consistent with their product or get out of making firearms. They been having recall issues since 1997 and still continues in 2024 with some of their GX 4 firearms! Taurus now recommends people don't carry a round in the chamber of their G2-GX4 firearms. Have the Taurus 627 Tracker 6.5" barrel. Although I have no issues, I'm not confident in it's long term durability. Don't hate Taurus and bought my first Taurus revolver in 1989, I won't however buy any of their pistols.
And believe me, I completely understand that, as my past experience with Taurus was not a great one. However, for us anyway, and again, that’s just our experience we have had nothing but complete joy and reliability out of everything we have purchased from Taurus in the past four or five years no issues whatsoever. Thanks for watching and for commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you have not already.

Was considering adding relatively inexpensive 38/357 revolvers to all our gear bags in addition to the G23/23’s with the various other caliber barrels. But also having the 9mm wheel in a revolver might be worthwhile!

Love mine G. Just got it.
(Have not shot it yet)
Did notice that my moon clips of 9 mm does not fit all the way in and one or two needs to be pushed down or the cylinder won’t close.

Tk customs make 380 moon clips for that gun which are a joy to shoot
We will have to check those out. So all that’s required to shoot 380 in the moon clip?
@@GSquaredTactical yes just get 380 moon clips they are a little smaller than the 9mm clips check out TK customs best in the business.
@@vernonwestfall1652 so the 9mm cylinder requires moon clips? I was looking at the Korth and their 9mm cylinder doesn't require them.
@@letsdothis9063 not all revolvers use moon clips the 692 does I have two of them makes reloads so much faster.
You forgot to shoot .380acp through the 9mm! 4 rounds opportunity with these convertible wheelguns.
Nice review! I would like a 692 but cannot find one in stock. I would carry with the 9mm.
Yeah I’ve had other tell me the same. I wasn’t necessarily looking for one but admittedly there’s a local shop where we buy 90% of our guns and I troll their website daily and happen to see it and was intrigued enough to pick it up. I didn’t know it was that difficult to find.
I was lucky to find one on Gunbroker.
Sweet congratulations
I would carry with the .357. you may be worried about over penetration, but with the correct ammo, this won't happen.
If I was carrying a 9mm it would be a higher capacity auto loader. (That's what I actually carry).
I have never been interested in wheel guns until recently. I was looking at the Korth, with the extra 9mm cylinder.
This looks like a cheaper means to the same end. I know that a lot of people look down on Taurus, but I have never had any of mine let me down.
I have been trying to find one they are hard to find
Nearly impossible, my friend, almost as if they don’t exist. I was very fortunate to find this one. Basically as soon as they put it on the shelf I just happen to be in the store. Thanks for commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you have not already.
No moon clips on 9 mm pretty cool
@G Squared Tactical thanks
Yeah Taurus are backwards lol
I have several Tarus firearms, I like the concept of this, but not a fan of having to change the sights.
Yeah that is one downside but if I carried it I would only carry 357 anyway so I’d set it for that and call it a day. Thanks for watching and commenting and please be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already
I’m curious why you think you need to adjust your sight depending on the caliber you’re using?
How much accuracy do you lose firing 9mm out of a barrel meant for .357 bullets...
