Thx for this. I've finally beaten Radahn with this. The DLC difficulty is high but it was manageable on strength build, i beat all bosses without summons or any buffs, but Radahn is a beast that's next to impossible to beat. He's way too op in my opinion especially on NG+4 which i'm on ;)
Great video... that journey to get the staff was crazy, but I used this to beat Consort Radahn with a mimic, after failing on him for hours on end. I really wanted to kill him before he got nerfed, so thank you.

I am currently using an Occult Great Katana build (very fun build) and I just finished Commander Gaius (after like 20+ attempts). I am gonna use this build in NG+ to redeem myself from being beaten multiple times by these bosses. I will have my vengeance. 😆

If u have 40 dex or higher u can use radagons icon and the increase in speed the other talisman does is so small its not worth using anymore cuz of the damage taken increase

I mean the thorn sorceries are SLOW, even with max cast speed, so you're definitely gonna have a hard time hitting a half decent player who's paying attention. I'm genuinely interested if you've got some galaxy brain tactics or build that brings out their true power, but if you're relying on your opponent's low health and inexperience, that's not power.
@@richardhandcock it's all about just getting the timing down, if you can bait them into the first animation of briars of sin they won't survive the full 3. It's honestly not that hard. 80 faith and two staff of guilty. Magic scorpion charm, magic shrouding cracked tear. The alberich set obviously. Use golden vow and howl of shabriri. You just have to bait. I love it when it can get a whole squad with one full animation lol.
With this build I have solo’ed every boss.. This sucks because I need a new DLC now. Seriously, great build, very versatile and powerfull. I feel like a pro without actually being one.
This build is great, but now my goofy mimic spends the whole boss fight buffing itself instead of helping me fight 😂 ill try summoning it with the rivers of blood in hand

I'm trying to use this strat right now, I know I sound stupid but how do you hit him with Impenetrabable Thorns in Phase 2 when he's focusing you hard then splitting focus between you, your summon, and mimic.
Honestly use the heaviest armour you have and use the verdigris discus and iron jar aromatic it'll make it alot easier but its still hard but that's how I beat mine
How does bleed buildup work and scale with sorceries? Staffs have no bloodloss-stat.. does it only scale with arcane (but hidden), because arcane is the only stat that increases bloodloss buildup on weapons too?
The spell causes bloodloss, the spell is power tied to a staff, when you raise arcane with an arcane weapon, it unlocks the hidden bleed build up and increases it
Here is a way to jump from a standing position without having to run (using a controller): Jump in place, then immediately hold down the run button (for XBox/PC, it's A, then hold down B). Next, push the stick forward and jump while still holding down B. If you do it correctly, you will perform a jump as if you were running.
This build like any Bleed build is weak against status effect immune enemies like the Flower Boss. I did beat it though by aiming at the flower head because the Boss takes more damage that way.

I'm surprised that the maternal staff isn't stronger than the Albinauric staff. But bleed build up is faster??? I don't really notice any difference. I hope this isn't a mistake that FromSoftware will correct. It took me hours to get this staff.

Secondly, the Bloodsucking Tear will quickly deplete your HP while active. It just this particular boss has been chewed up and spit out by most streamers and content creators so I thought it was ok to show him as well as the Divine Beast. I'm playing arcane build, know nothing about sorc builds, so I can be off by a mile, but due to occasional need in sorcery, I've gotten Albinauric staff. It only needs 10 Int and at +25 it scales B Int and S Arc, so in my case it's 296 scaling. Gonna test it, hope it's a good staff for this particular build.
You should be able to buy all the smithing stones of both kind except the 10s, go get the bell bearings in the base game, spend a couple million on stones and you'll upgrade anything you want to try out to +24 or +9 before you even swing it.
of course i chose to get all the wrong shit from the remembrances, got the colossal weapon instead of the staff, wp i guess, same shit with the irises got the spirit ash instead of the katana😤
I have to say im getting pretty annoyed by those one sided comments re thorns "let's nerf it". Yes, against bosses it's incredibly strong. But for the overall playthrough / overland / world exploration its actually pretty dull. My night comet build was way faster for those activities. People watch boss videos with full round of buffs and scream "nerf it" 😮😅

You can break the Spring seals by using Mogh's shackles on the original Spring. You don't need to go out your way to the seal :)

Great build, helped me finally beat Radahn. I think it’s worth going to 14 strength for 1h occult great katana and beast claws.
Between you and me, I really have no love for the new Great Katanas. The only one I really enjoyed was the Rakshasa's Great Katana.

Ya, thorns sorcery from the base game was weak to say the least. Especially after they nerfed the Albinauric Staff in patch 1.04

you can use double Staff of Guilty if this spell counts as Thorn Sorcery...i think its much stronger but you need to farm it
Staff of Guilty will affect the Sorcery damage but not the Bleed build-up nor the Blood loss effect which is the potent component about this build.

Magic-Shrouding crack tear says it "boosts magic attack." And I thought thorn sorceries were physical damage. I could be totally wrong.
It is a great incantation but only if the enemy doesn't jump around like a crazy frog!

I believe I was at level 185 during the footage, but you can get this build running much earlier.
I beat the final boss with impenetrable thorns in 29 sec and I got bad rng.

I don't think there is a way around it, you do need to make this jump to progress
It has to be a running jump.
As our friend said here, it has to be running + jump. perhaps also take off your entire gear and you will feel a lot lighter.

It's really a fashion choice, but Radahn's Greaves or the Scaled Greaves might be good replacements.

at 8:20 it is mentioned that the albinauric is nerfed when applying the actual buildup, so it is better to use maternal staff.

You can duplicate remembrances at the walking masoleums and there are a few coffins around like the finger ruins that also dupe them
