This blade got me my first play through in Elden Ring. I pieced together a faith /str build that was just terrible, but with this and Pest Threads I got through the Elden Beast. I remember buffing my self for reduced Holy damage and using the Holy damage resist trinket because I was struggling so badly. Melania was a NIGHTMARE and I eventually got her with this blade. It was pivotal for the win to keep my poor playing topped off in life. Long live the Blasphemous Blade.
Just made it through Consort Radahn last night with this build. Ran the Dragon Greatshield Talisman and Haligdrake +2 for extra defense and swapped out Rakshasa's for something with a little more survivability. Brought a shield instead of dual wielding because I could not figure out the timing windows for some of the visual diarrhea that is his second phase. I credit the blasphemous heal for carrying me to the end.
I never tried this blade until the dlc came out and everyone was saying how it got better and decided to give it a try. It's disgustingly effective, overall.
Finally, something to test in the off-hand against The Sword of Milos. Been using this build ever since the end of my first playthrough. Power stance Strength is where my Journey began before dabbling with Magic and Faith. Didn't even try blood build until NG+ with 2 Gargoyle Twinblades
Nice build crafting, but I do have one critique: Erdtree blessing incantation is better than bestial vitality for hp regen. It regens more. Unfortunately they do not stack, so if you want the 'best' hp regen incantation, you should be using erdtree blessing instead of bestial vitality.
This is actually my good old First ER playthrough build that i got in for my first DLC Playthrough. Milos and Blasphemous is just such a convinient combo for specially exploring.
Took me until my 4th playthrough to discover the blasphemous blade, after an INT, INT/DEX and DEX playthrough I finally decided to try FAITH despite the constant warnings about how bad it was against the final bosses. Not sure why when the BB has no trouble with either and completely works with FAITH. This blade makes up for all of my short-comings as a player.
Yeah...I soon as I read the description that this blade heals on hits and kills, I didn't need anything else. I didn't care if it does crap damage in the endgame or not. It's better to not die and chip away boss health than dying over and over again. Then I started watching RUclips videos about Elden Ring secrets and YUP! I was right! The Blasphemous Blade is indeed THE BEST weapon in the game.
Love this build. I have NG+ on my PS5 so I will try it there with the DLC. On the PS4 version, I am NG+ and have not entered the DLC arena yet, so I have the Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear and the Spiked Cracked Tear for the physick mix; flip-flopping between the Sword of Milos and the Iron Greatsword(flame art). This build ran through Rennala's second phase like butter. Thanks for a great video and build.

Fun fact: you can get a thrift store version of this weapon aka Serpent-God’s Curved Sword pretty early on. Don’t use it for damage, simply equip it in your offhand while 2h your main weapon & it will heal you every time you kill an enemy. BB is obviously far better of course, it’s just something to remember if you’re wanting to use a different weapon while keeping a passive heal without the weight. Enjoy:)
I like running the Ritual Sword Talisman outside of boss fights for just 10% more passive damage, then swap out for a different talisman for boss fights when using bloodsucking tear.
I was struggling with the dlc but whenever I got too stuck, I got this out. I was too irritated by hearing my friend saying he was 4-5 shotting bosses with bolt of grandaxx while I was having to hit bosses countless times and having a +7 flask 🤣
Hi, I have followed this to collect what is needed etc, however, I'm "only" hitting for around 4k each time, what am I missing? Blasphemous Blade +10, Erdtree seal+10 Full set of Rakshasa Armout, but using Black dumpling Helmet, Charms: Fire scorpion Charm, Talisman of the Dred, Aged Ones Exaltation, Shard Of Alexander. Spells: Golden Vow, Flame Grant me strength, Bestial Vitality, Black Blade, Burn O Flame, Flame sling, Howel of Shabriri Wonderous Physick Mix: Bloodsucking Cracked Tear & Flame Shrouding Cracked Tear. I have the seal in my Left hand, BB in my right, even holding the BB with both hands is giving 4 k a hit, pre boss I’m applying Howl of Shabriri, Golden Vow, Flame Grant me strength, Bestial Vitality. However I am still not getting hits like in the Video, can anyone see what I’m not doing right here please?
I've been playing the older version of this (Fextralife's version) through the DLC. I one-shot almost everything, even bosses. It's insane! I switched over to a perfumer build for a bit (I felt like I needed more of a challenge) and decided to go back because the blasphemous blade build is just TOO fun! Thanks for the updates, I can't wait to incorporate some of this into my build!

Wake him up, jump down and ride through his legs into a courtyard with a building in the middle, go to the right-hand side of the building, and you will see a broken wall, climb up using the horse, and walking, follow the wall all the way round to the front, jumping and walking, trying not to fall off, as you face the golem, now out of view because of the wall, there is a corner that has collapsed on your right, a definite horse jump, you will find your self in a room, and a walkway above the golem, I threw 5 cracked furnace pots into the top of his ahead, and boom, got the tear
Are you a faith build? If you are, try Ancient dragon lightning strike. You can also let your mimic use it. Ride torrent, spam the spell and jump when the golem does. I'm sure you will be able to do it.
You can get the bloodflame incantation in Liurnia so anything you can add this on to will work well early. Try farming for a Halo Scythe in the swamp in Caelid, the Ash of War on the scythe is awesome for a Faith build. Early game is always a challenge and you often have to work with what you can find.

I stopped using it. It's just way too boring the DLC gave me the Dragon Slayer Great Katana and the Rakshasa Set with It's great sword. I love it for that.
@illuminate8321 well... duh. You can pick 4 talismans that all boost the ash if you want. It has modest Stat requirements, and being a faith build, you probably also have golden vow and flame grant me strength. If you're building around the ash, naturally you use it. 😂 It trivializes even Bayle though, so I see why he says it's boring. If not using the ash, pick any other sword you want.

Sacrificial axe. Then two hand the sword and use the two handed talisman. You get the fp from the axe and more damage from the sword than you would power stancing it
I think? sword of milos was a little more fpl/kill than the sacrificial axe. But yeah. In that situation with DLC stuff power stancing isn't what it used to be. It was always a trade off since it had no faith scaling and you want to go high faith with blasphemous
Used this build. Its to easy. I use a lot of defensive talismans sjarm of Alexander and the magma booster. I dont take a lot of damage. And I have used like 20 healtflasks total. 6 of thoose was on the firegollum🤪 please do not use if you want a challenge. This is Just to easy!😅
Guide is partially wrong, the sword scales better with Dexterity than Strenght even though they are rated D (go in any calculator and you will see, not sure why it does that) and this also makes us cast spell quicker (up to 70 dex). Also use Oil-soaked Tear Physicks for extra 50% fire damage instead of reducing your life over time. I'm sorry but this guide isn't the "BEST" build for Blasphemous Sword...
Strength increases resistance to physical damage. The weapon scales to C in both strength and dexterity and B to faith. It depends on what you prefer, but the build isn't wrong.
People whine about summons and bleed builds, here's a weapon that heals you with every kill and every use of the ash of war....by a lot. It was nerfed, but then buffed with the new magma talisman. That, Fire scorpion charm, shard of alexander, and the greatshield talisman with the rakshasa armor set? A joke.

This isn't min maxed. Get rid of rakshasa helm. Use poison mushroom helmet - x10% dmg when poisoned. Stack with kindred of rot - x20% dmg when poisoned, and stack with poisoned hand - x7% dmg while poisoned. Use poison flash ash of war (don't need the stats to use it) and poison yourself. Free 37% dmg bonus that your missing out on... But what do I know. I'm not a RUclipsr
I believe the new madness combo that I explain in the video gives more total damage buffs if you want to go down that route. The new Aged One's Exultation, Black Dumpling helmet and Howl of Shabriri are nuts.

Faith isn't bad against the final bosses, Holy damage is specifically.

Try to spam pest thread spears incantation + memic tear while on horse he will lose stance easly and then hit him with your blade :)

how do u get it to do son much damage? im lvl 83 with 40 faith and +9 blasphemous blad ad I only do 690 damage

Opaline hardtear for 20% damage negation in flask instead of bloodsucking or the stam regen in flask is also pretty good.
