I like he gets ready to kick your ass. You beat him up, then realizes he can’t even die and you just wanted some random thing he didn’t give a rats ass about, then you two just casually become friends like nothing happened.
Bruh this was the hardest chapter for me. Exploring that cave, running out of items and praying that I wouldn’t run into another enemy or that I would find one of those health boxes since my whole team was low on hp and fp. Awesome music though, the boss changing forms the first time spooked me
Why is every sea captain boss like: “ok fight me” And then after you win they are like: “ok you are my friend now here take this thing I didn’t even want. I’ll help you later in this chapter lol.”
Is crazy to think that Mario makes friends with Pirates after fighting them. (Jones, Cortez). And even cooler that they help him and even Cortez himself lets Mario use the ship. Feels like a Paper Version of PoTC Flying Dutchman. 🏴☠️
@@thescrublife9340 Unfortunately, you'll have nothing better than my word to go on. I found this out while playing the game. Gulliver mentioned he actually had a nice Chat with captain cortez, after i helped him in either City Folk or new leaf I don't remember which game.
When I used to own a gamecube i didn't have a memory card so me and my sisters had to leave the gamecube on 24/7 to play Paper Mario...we managed to finally make it to chapter 5 without dying until we fought Cortez. (We were playing it blind). His third phase threw us off completely 🤣
i virtually softlocked myself accidentally in this chapter. I thought it would be a good idea to save and come back tomorrow... with 1hp and a virtually unavoidable fire guy blocking my way out. I had no healing items and no way to defeat this fire guy since i had no ice power badge and no damaging items either. And back then I was horrible at button mashing so I couldn't run away. I had to reset. Thank god it wasn't like my first playthrough discovering the story or something.

I Had the blue pipe set up so when I got Bobbery I went back to lower my hp to 5

This guy was difficult to beat. I literally had to adapt quickly to each phase of the battle. But a good battle non the less.
