Still shooting it two years later? I've been thinking of getting something "new" (own a used Supra Focus XL but I don't know, many things have been bothering me lately about it) and the shape of this bow immediately caught my eye. Seems nicer than even the Supras. Found a couple used for sale online in colors, DLs and weights I like
I just got a secondhand one as my first compound. I'm still waiting for my accessories to be delivered to the store, and waiting for Ultraview to send me a reply about import costs. I absolutely love the way the cams feel, it's so smooth. Though as a recurve intermediate it does kinda scare me sometimes cause it has an agressive release compared to the recurve.
Stephen hands archery supplies I think he's a very honest person and I do like his reviews he tells you exactly what he's thinking and how it is that's a wonderful thing cuz most archery companies don't box stores don't they'll sell you a bowl and not tell you jack crap
Still love mine. Ordered some 40-50# limbs. Can't wait to shoot it again, but sticking with my Pearson MX3 until the parts come in and doing alright with it.
I would love to but I don't know what Prevail to order and what draw length to order. I have a few customers trying to figure out what one they would like to try. The Prevail have 4 models and each model has various draw lengths.
Can the whole cable guard assembly replaced with the new one or just the new cable slide would go onto the last year's flex guard. What is the cost of the new cable guard or cable slide? This new cable guard should have been on last year's Expression but I still like my Expression.
Hi Steven, I'm looking at getting into some archery and I was browsing your website all night for any RTS combo packages and came across the predator kit stage 3, I was wondering if you were going to do a review for that kit? As it's my first bow, I'm fairly interested to see how that would compare to say a martin krypton! Awesome videos btw, drawing me towards a purchase from you :)
The Predator is made in China. It is heavy and has now draw stops, but it is affordable and adjustable. I would go for the US compounds because they shoot better. Even a cheap bow like the PSE Stinger shoots well. But otherwise there is a new bow from Topoint M1 which is cheap and light.
Great video, again. If I may I would like to make a question. I was trying to buy a HOYT PODIUM X ELITE, just to find out that the CAMs I wanted, GTX, aren't available anymore. I've got a roughly 27 to 28 inches draw length. I was considering as an alternative the PSE Expression. Can you help me on understanding the real differences among those two? Thank you in advance Cheers
All bows are good. What is great about the PSE is the draw length adjustment and you can also change for 65 to 75% letoff. The Hoyt has a narrow draw length adjustment so hard to stock and hard to sell. The PSE has Compression limbs so more tension on the strings and cables. The Hoyt has laminated limbs. I have a customer who has the PSE Supra and the Podium. He shoots great with both, but I think his scores are a little better with the PSE. I personally find the Hoyt has more hand shock since the limbs are not parallel.
Hello, I appreciate the time you took for the answer. Actually, I´m planning to have a test with both bows to get a more "real sensitive" feel about them. I'll try to compare the newer versions of both of the PSE Expression and Hoyt Prevail compounds. I don't want to drive you into any deeper explanations concerning the difference of the limbs technologies. I realized Hoyt is very proud of the laminated limbs they use, but don't fully understand the major advantages of their solution against the major competitors. Do you find a real advantage here? is there any true arguments that corroborate this Hoyt assumption? Thank you again for your time
Hi Great video again!!! just wondering have you tested any Compound Bows for us Finger Shooters. been shooting a PSE one cam ls for the last 20years.....
Finger shooting is hard. You want long axle to axle with low letoff. I think the Xpression with 65% could be used for finger shooting. The Mathews Apex 7 and 8. Hoyt make a finger shooting bow to but it specifications are very slow.
Been finger shooting compounds for 20 years now...it hasn't been easy!!! just can't get on with a release aid even though my kids make it look easy must admit I am a PSE fan my pse bow has never let me down in 20 years, thousands of arrows and 2 dry shots. love the look of the xpression and probably will use the win and win ezr finger tab with it. thankyou for getting back to me.
Hi . I have the 2016 Expresion 50-60# I'm on 50# at the moment but I need new arrows and I'm thinking of shooting 55# when I buy new arrows my draw is 29.5" and I want to buy Easton carbon ones. My question is what spine weight should I go for? Would really appreciate some guidance please? Great video. Like your reviews.
I shoot the Expression at 60# with carbon one arrows and I selected the spine using the www.pinwheelsoftware.com/ SFA software. If you want to buy it then do it from within the software, which is the cheapest option I found. Set everything up in the equipment section as you would setup your bow, select the carbon one spine at the equipment and the spine selector tab will show you if it is correct or what change you need to make on the arrow to have the correct stiffness.
Im shooting 400 spine and finding them a touch weak at 58# but they were spot on at 55#. However my scores are great so Im sticking with 400 as I have 2dz.
Yes - the Cable Slides are in high demand and so far not available alone. But they will be. The new Cable Gaurds are in. But you need to wait for the new slides.
It's nice to see this platform back in light and on the big stages.
Anyone still shooting their Xpression in 2020? Best bow I've ever owned, no reason to change. Changed limbs/strings but it is still the business.

@@enrique6335 Hi, still have it but use my PSE Lazer more these days.
Your video was most helpful! It filled in the gaps that the paperwork didn't cover.
Still shooting and loving mine in 2020. Quality bit of kit, wouldn't change it.

Steven, thanks for another thorough review. Would love it if you did one on the 2017 Hoyt Pro Defiant 34 whenever you get one in the shop. Cheers!
I am looking at the 2017 range and I got lost with options, but I hope to try and work out what to stock.
could you do a hoyt prevail video, i find your videos really helpful and i want to see the full range of bow of 2017 to decide which one to buy
I would love to but I don't know what Prevail to order and what draw length to order. I have a few customers trying to figure out what one they would like to try. The Prevail have 4 models and each model has various draw lengths.
Is there a way you can review the Xpression 3d? I'd love to see what you think of it. Thanks for the great videos!

Yes the cable guards cand be replaced and cable slides. You can replace both or one.
lm getting a 2015 dominator new in the box. does those older bows have 65 percent let off mod?

Adrian Bowtle Check out John Dudley nock on archery. He breaks down everything you need to know about release aids. Good luck!
MrTartarSauced thanks TS I will take a look. This could be the excuse for 2 new Bows!!!

If new cable slide can be retrofitted to older bows how to actually get it?

Thanks a lot. Your reviews are most viewed on my compound archery report page!
