  • This video is my experience with a failed coil pack on a 1.4 16v Peugeot 206. Just putting this out there in case any one finds it remotely useful.

    ew10j4 2004 16v 2.0 406 nice video man thanks for this. Had my 406 for about a year and today it told me ANTI POLLUTION FAULT with the orange engine light. I already got the new breather hose couple months ago as a backup because I thought the O-ring on the current pipe has gone bad because there is alot of messy oil which drips down from that area. I will just replace that new breather pipe and see if the AP warning goes away. As I dont have the new coil pack yet.

      Thank, glad it worked. I like slightly older French cars but they can be a pain when things go wrong.

    I had this issue on my 206 16v. Changed coil pack and was back to normal.

  • @tonymarwood

    Had exactly the same symptoms, but a new coil pack didn't cure it. My 'simple' code reader said P1339 fault which changed briefly with the new coil pack to be a P1336 fault, but now a P1339 fault again. If I clear the codes it seems to run perfectly for between 30 secs and 2 minutes then the Catalytic message comes up, the engine light shows, and it goes into safe mode. On a 20 year old car of not much value there is a limit on how much to spend to fix it, and after a £90 Bosch coil pack I am fast approaching that point.

    “Fairly expensive, £60” in terms of car parts £60 is not fairly expensive. I nearly had a heart attack hearing the first two words of that sentence

    • @flatspot2050
      @flatspot2050  2 года назад

      I guess it all relative, to some people £60 is a fair chunk of change. Most car parts aren’t that expensive it’s the cost of the mechanic that stings. Hope you found the video useful.

    Hello sir I replaced the coil pack and plugs and it’s still the same once car gets to full operating temperature anti pollution message comes up and car develops a miss fire once it has reached operating temperature.It goes back to normal once the car has cooled down or left.What could the problem be? It is a 2005 206 Gti 135bhp with the 2.0 petrol engine?

    • @flatspot2050
      @flatspot2050  3 года назад

      Well this sounds similar but also different to my problem where the error message would show as soon as you start the car and pull away. The only other thing i can think is it might be the Lambda sensor but you'd have to check with a mechanic.

      You might want to ask a mechanic or just replace this part and the spark plugs anyway. At least you and rule it out then, upto you though.

    Does this work on 307cc? I’m having nightmare same codes and spent fortune on lambda sensors, cat, center box , squib , and more ! Almost £800 in total so far

    • @flatspot2050
      @flatspot2050  2 года назад

      I've never owned or worked on a 307cc so I couldn't tell you. If you're experiencing the same issues as I did in this video and you get the same message, then maybe you want to try replacing this part. Seems like you've replaced everything else anyway, so seems logical.

    Hello, I will ask you for help, I have a Peugeot 307 1.4 Gasoline produced in 2003. Every time you start a mass, Antipolution Fault appears, it consumes more fuel and there is no power, the engine does not have Star. a few are very expensive and they are masters for all cars you can for one or two you can not for all bought a laptop and diagnostics supposedly do. I have another problem at 50-60-Km, I get the sign for Ulje STOP and an Exclamation mark is also written on the board computer, but with English I say poorly, it says that there is no Ulje and the engine does not consume even Gram Ulje, I changed the sensor for Ulje, it says sometimes and says In the city, give me a ride, I took out the Crater, I cleaned it and put it back. Someone told me that there was a Crater Sensor. will scratch as soon as there is not enough lubrication please help if anyone knows. Some people tell me to go to the Master and turn off the probe from the computer as if there is no probe that somehow I do not like it please help Hello from Macedonia Ohrid to all of you

    • @grimm6jack

      Spark plugs or the catalytic converter itself. It's pretty much always one of the 3, or sometimes all combined. 90% of the issues I see with this is always one of these 3. The other 10 is... just an error you can write off or... low-quality fuel.

      I get random warning beeps occasionally that last for about 30 mins but they always disappear after that, I guess either speak to a mechanic or get a ecu reader.
