- Hi friends! Are you ready for some serious cleaning motivation? Are you ready for some serious, decluttering and organizing? I am so excited about this video! Today I take My Big Tidy Up on the road again and do a massive declutter and organize! This homeowner had a bathrrom that needed to be cleaned out! This video will give you so much motivation! The room starts out cluttered and unorganized, and by the time I’m done, it has been minimized and organized! Hi friends! Thanks so much for tuning in today! I am soooo proud of this project! I really do think this is the biggest declutter transformation I have ever done! The homeowner and I were practically in tears when it was all done! I hope you leave this video feeling inspired!

WOW! What an impressive transformation. I like that you gave the homeowner time and no pressure to go through things and to make decisions about what to keep and what to let go. That sure is a lot of stuff to deal with and I am sure it can be draining to take care of. And how awesome that she allowed you to declutter so much. Good for her! Thank you so much, Matt! It really is a project that I am most proud of! It took me eight hours nonstop. By nonstop I mean no breaks lunch, I never stopped moving etc. The homeowner was such a trooper. I would not have been able to accomplish so much had she not been willing to keep working herself! It really was a joint effort, and we were both literally in tears when it was done! She was definitely appreciative, and it made it worth it for sure! I hope to be able to go back to her home for some future decluttering and organizing! Thank you so much for being so supportive of me and her as well! Have a great weekend!

Wow! This one looked challenging, DeDe! There's just so many items being stored in this bathroom. Over 100 wash cloths and hand towels?!? 😮But you did an amazing job as always. My favorite part was the dresser drawers, and getting that wooden cabinet (mostly) cleared off. 😅
Hi Eeeek! Always so great to hear from you! You are right, this was a challenge!! The dresser drawers were so full and heavy! I definitely feel like the dresser drawers were my greatest accomplishment in the room! They were so full. It was difficult for the homeowner to open them much less be able to retrieve the things she wanted! This declutter sure did my heart good. 🤍 thanks for always showing up for me Eeeek, I really appreciate you.
Wow that’s quite the declutter. Great job. Only thing I’d do differently is move the cotton balls and pads farther from the toilet. But that’s just me. 😊

First, let me say that there is a lot to do , and I agree with you... it is important to have the Homeowner not feel rushed, so I applaud that, Miss Dede. I love that you ask questions , because yes... THE FUNCTION is what matters. The " pretty " can be achieved after Function is addressed. ( Making things look Aesthetically pleasing). I often approached it the same.. a few big containers, and a few laundry baskets, lol.
Miss Dede.... this was IMPRESSIVE.
And often, its " re- arranging " a few times to get the best fit when it comes to organizing. I'll be back to edit . :)
I can well imagine that y'all both experienced a few tears. ... because of how you approached this, ..in kindness, and a sense of compassion that you always " Bring With You " . ...And I'm sure things feel " lighter " for her .
What a Transformation, and what Blessing you provided , and your attitude is part of the " winning combination "... " the destination is the same , despite it may be all over the place at first ". This is normal.
May I say , I like her Vintage dresser ... having a small dresser ( if one will fit ) or any type of furniture storage in a bathroom is so helpful!

Thank you so much vintagebelle! Yes, it definitely was important to have the homeowner involved and to be able to work at a pace that she was comfortable with. As I mentioned to her, this stuff didn’t happen overnight and so it will take some time to go through everything! I definitely love to look at picture perfect organizing, but I definitely feel it has jaded us in many ways. We feel that everything must look “Pinterest worthy”-even I myself can fall into that same trap! The older I get the more I look for convenience rather than style points! Yes, ...." Pintrest " created a Trap of " organization perfection " ....lol. I am aware of that ,and it also created looks that were not / are not always practical or really useful to how one " actually lives " . I look at it as " putting things where you'll use them "....whatever that means for an individual, and a Room.
So, for example...I have certain things in a pretty lidded box ,that are easily accessible to where I have my Wiingback chair. Lip balm, hand lotion, a pair of nice nail clippers, etc. But it's where I need it to be, and that is more valuable to me than " perfection Organizing ", lol. ...and not having things I use consistently, close by. :). Yes Ma'am....Convenience.....and we can still have it be a bit stylish. I hope you have a Wonderful Weekend, my friend! 😊🙂🤗🙏🏻✨️☕️
How wonderful it is when we get to do for others,I just think someday we may be in their shoes, we can pray and hope that someone will be there to help us when the time comes, Dee Dee you did amazing job for her 😊

I use denture tablets to clean my invisalign retainers

@@MyBigTidyUp sure thing. I use the polident overnight cleaning tablets. By which I put 3 tablets in a bathroom cup, soak my retainers with some listerine mouthwash for about 30 to 45 minutes before I have to brush my teeth for bed.You really dont have to put alot of listerine, just a tiny bit above your whitening trays

Hi, great declutter but we haven't really been made part of it. I'd like to give you some constructive criticism. Decluttering videos are about items one declutters, decisions made and thinking around it. All we've seen here is that you moved unknown items from left to right, and most of thinking was covered by loud music, which I had to turn off. Music is a personal taste, you will never please everyone, but more importantly, music is not for decluttering videos, it's for the cleaning videos where decision making is not really required. I would much prefer to hear your thinking
Hello there! 👋🏼 Thank you so much for your thoughts! You are right, regarding music, people have personal preferences. Some people always want music, and some people do not. It has been a learning process for me with the music and in recent videos I have lowered the volume and may continue to do so even more. When I do My Big Tidy Up on the go videos where I am in someone else’s home, It is definitely a challenge to share why something stays or goes because the homeowners don’t always tell me or don’t want that information shared. I certainly will be more aware of making a conscious effort to share my thought process when I am doing the declutters in my own home! Goodness dede this is the best transformation yet!!! I want to personally thank the home owner for sharing her space with us, there's so much vulnerability in showing the less than perfect. I've carried a fair amount of shame and guilt that my small spaces will never look like the magazines but i feel so inspired to tackle my mountains. So from one tidy-upper to another- thank you!!!
