White river knives have preserved my hope within the knife industry since my loss of serious funds with no product from survive knives. Working on getting my third wrk so thanks for being honest and consistent.
While Guy would continuously lie to me and keep putting things off, WRK has always made sure to quickly get back to me and resolve everything above and beyond my expectations. I remember my first WRK was the ursus 45 probably 3 years ago. I thought the retention was too tight on the sheath and let them know, and they said yeah seems like a few batches had too tight of a sheath. They instantly sent me a new perfect sheath for free. I have had 2 other occasions where I reached out to them and was well taken care of in the same way as...seriously customer service cant get better than what they offer. Their knives are amazing and I really enjoy edc'ing the m1 caper in magnacut or taking the ursus cub with me when I go outdoors more. One of these days I may get a kitchen knife from them and or a camp cleaver. Looking forward to see what the future holds for them...easily my favorite production knife company.
I've had their Backpacker Pro. It is my absolute favorite knife. I wear it everywhere possible. In my humble opinion, it is the best big, little EDC knife.
Jacob Peterson is a good guy. UPS lost my order and he immediately remedied the situation even though he didnt have too. The Jackalope and Adventure craft are some of my favorite knives and probably my most carried as well.
A few years ago, I saw a photo of the Firecraft FC4 for the first time and was amazed by the design. But I couldn't afford it back then. In 2021 I bought a Model 1 and was so impressed with the handling, the blade, and the wooden box. This year I finally bought my FC4 and love it. I live in Germany and for me White River is the example of American quality. I'm looking forward to the Urus Cub and Folder next. Thanks for the great video, the conversation was very pleasant.
I found the post particularly fascinating, as an American that lives off-grid. A blade I would compare to a white river, in terms of quality, is the Tops camp creek knife and the fire edition of the same knife. A unique knife that does everything my ursa 45 can do, while being a better personal carry knife. I've been considering getting an FC 4 or 5 because of the ones I've gotten to experience, which felt akin to my camp creek.
How much do these bad boys go for on the other side of the pond? I’ve seen reviews where European reviewers have to pay like 200 Euros for base model esee 4. Crazy considering premium steel esee 4 goes for 140 (dollars) in the states.
I love my knives from White River Knives. They have a sertain 'je ne sais quoi'. I am especially impressed with the exodus 3 and 4. These knives really took me by surprise. Their design is really, really useful and versatile. Also, the heat treat from WRK on their s35vn is incredible. I am a big fan of this company. 😊
Exodus 3 is my edc. Got 3 of em so far. The 4 is my work knife. I primarily use the 3 as an edc food prep blade more than anything. And all of the 3's are paired with a Spyderco G-clip. Premo for basketball shorts carry excellently! Model backpacker was my first intro to White River though! Still got her around somewhere.
White River is the best in the BIZ!! They’re one of the only companies that uses kydex fully ambi sheaths. Lefties do not have to go to the aftermarket to enjoy their product. The knives are always perfect too.
and their customer service is insanely good. I just messaged them about one of my sheaths losing some small bit of retention and asking what the best way to tighten it back up is..and they responded asking for my address so they could just send me a new sheath..a new version with a tension screw. Not the first time their customer service has gone way above and beyond for me...i am a customer for life
I use my Exodus 3 daily. Tonight, I noted that I had it in my pocket and totally forgot I had it on me. It is the knife that got me into White River Knives! Now I'm hooked!
I’m pretty sure I talked to one of the wives working at the booth at Blade Atlanta last year. So very nice. Looking forward to seeing them again in a few weeks! 😎
The Ursus Cub has become my favorite EDC fixed blade. I wasn't crazy about the kydex sheath, but the leather one they just added for it is awesome and does pretty good double duty as a dangler and a pocket sheath. Only knife to beat out the Guardian 3.2 as an EDC for me.
Guardian 3.2 wasnt for me. Their reasoning for leaving the rough laser cut marks on edge makes no sense to me. Mine even had dips as if the laser wasn't cutting straight. Company said that was normal. I prefer my knives not to be in preworn condition. I don't baby knives either. Rest of knife was fine minus their abysmal sheath.
German here EDCing the M1 Backpacker Pro for about a year now and I love that knife! Very EDC friendly size and weight, the ergos are some of the most comfortable I have had yet, the G10 is grippy as heck and as a fixie it won't get me in trouble with the police! 😋 One question though: The version I have is specificially a blackout version that has been coated with some material that I could not determine, any info on what that coating is? It has a very teflon like matte feel and finish to it but I doubt that is what it is.
I have an m1 caper, it is so comfortable, I find myself just picking it up to feel it in my hand. The sheath is great, the blade is so useful. I'm so glad I bought that knife, more so than any other.
I have the m1 caper in magnacut and brown burlap micarta...its marked as number 1 on the blade. It is by far the best edc knife I have ever had and so cool i got the first one (unless they started at 0 lol) Love this knife
Can we get a folder? With a 4 inch blade that is fully serrated in a Tonto style. A lot of Knife companies say that these are not wanted but I am a customer. I am part of the public and these knives are definitely needed. They have a purpose. There’s only so much you can do with a straight edge, and for some reason, the blades that do have serrated or 50-50 with a half serrated and a half straight edge and for some reason, the serrated is at the back of the blade. If this is only gonna be serrated in half the blade can it be the front part of the Blade, please?
Hoping for an ursus mini closer to 3" someday, or an ursus style blade on an m1. Can't get enough small edc drop point blades. Thank you for what you do!
For the life of me I don't understand these channels playing constantly repeating music in their videos. It's so super annoying I can't watch the entire video.
The Exodus looks cool, I just think the stock is a liiiitle too thick. I know with how thin the profile is that you need some stock thickness to keep it strong but still...
yeah i think the blade height should be a tad higher and blade thickness needs to come down. Well I am no fan of Jacob anymore after the survive shit so I don't care to own his design anyways.
PLEASE make a video about the best knives with wooden handles or like idk how to explain but like outdoorsy knives for survival and camping in nature. That look good and perform good

I love my Ursus 45 and Caper. I would love to get the Cub to go along with my Ursus. BUT, yes, But I will not get the Cub until you change the sheath. I know I am being picky, but the sheath is just too wide and bulky for EDC or pocket carry.

Just purchased the M1 for my EDC fixed blade since I won’t ever see the Necker I pre-ordered from Survive
@@ShoahBiz who were you dealing with that was lying and putting things off?

The best part of white river (and part of why I’ll continue to buy) is that they have kept prices constant while others keep going up.

White River does a great job with their kydex. Several times their kydex has been the reason I have chosen their knife over other offerings.

what steel are they made of
magnacut and s35vcn
