I just did a huge closet declutter a few months ago and donated 99% of my closet. I donated it all to a local women's shelter who help pregnant and abused women.
I love how you went back and thinned more... sometimes we need to realize where our stress comes from, and it can be from decision fatigue and having too much "stuff" to manage... whatnots on shelves, books already read or "wish to read" piles, or in our closets! Great job... now to remember not to repurchase and fill everything back up is hard lesson also.
Seeing the end result - you really could repurpose some of the bulkier room furniture to a spare room [if you need] and have open space in bedroom for a lounge chair, reading area, or space which helps your mind rest also... all matching heavy furniture can fill a room and/or date a space that can be timeless otherwise. Just a thought...
I’m going to redo it- hopefully next month. I’ll sell what I currently have because I’ve realized how bad I need a change in this space!! ✨🌿🌴 want it to represent me more and be a calming sleep haven

Wow what a great job! You might find you do this in the future - but I noticed after I did a lot of decluttering I started to minimise the furniture in my room/house and I also removed empty baskets. I either donated or kept certain ones that I might use again. It was something I didn’t do in the first decluttering stage as I didn’t see it for some reason. Now I embrace the space! 🥰
I dont know you but i am so proud of you. You did an amazing job and you got yourself through a difficult task. I am also in the same situation and doing this was a hard thing but once it was done it helped with the 'moving on'. Good luck.

That was impressive! Whew! What a pile! I am also a busy mom, so when I do a decluttering project I just do it in sections because I lose steam really quickly. For example, one shelf/drawer/cupboard at a time, give yourself grace....AND Don't bring more stuff in unless you take some out! Also, get rid of all the extra hangers and the extra empty dresser, then you wont fill them again ;) Great Job Bri!

At the start of a season I like to flip all of the hangers backwards on the rack and then after I wear washer and put back the clothes I put the hangers on the right way. Then by the end of the season I know for a fact what I wore and didn’t wear. Makes decluttering those items so much easier.
I'm wondering if you took the drawer out above the one that doesn't go back all the way, and see if there's a piece of clothing or something stuck back there, could be why it doesn't shut all the way. Or just take the drawer out that doesn't shut all the way and check it that way.🥰 You did an amazing job! I love the hangers you have, the white with the rose gold metal!😃
I am envious of people who know what kind of style they have + actually find clothes that fit their body. I have three pairs of pants to alternate between and five dresses. I own more athletic wear than normal clothes 😂
Hi Brianna I found you again, i lost track of you since Hawaii, I have a suggestion for purses and bags the nicer ones I’d display in closet and the others perhaps in the empty baskets in the closet. The tall narrow shelf I’d put soft moody puck lights that are remote controlled and add decor 👍🏼 Also you should consider selling your bedroom suite and making a real fresh start something perhaps softer and clean lined 👍🏼😉❤️🇨🇦

Just an idea but maybe you can do a give away to your followers of cloths that you are getting rid of. It would be a way to give back to your followers and could be a great blessing to someone in need. ❤

Whenever I go through my clothes I donate or give someone in my family. I mostly give clothes away that look worn and haven’t worn in a long time.
