I loved this declutter! Many youtubers throw the clothes on the floor bc they claim it makes them more ruthless or just bc it looks more impressive but you don't need any of that. It was so nice to see you treat your clothes with respect both in how you store them and how you decluttered. Such a nice change of pace!
As expensive as things are these days, I'm glad I kept most of my clothes, for the last 34 years. Classic separates don't go out of style, & most of the denim dresses, are going to be a hot item this fall! Now if I could lose 2 dress sizes, to fit back into them. Been walking the dog.
Things aren’t made like they used to be, even from a few years ago. I used to donate everything that’s all changing now since inflation and the obvious downturn in quality. I have an organized system saving things for my daughters. I wish I had all my clothes from high school- even the cheap stuff. It was all well made.
You did a great job. I need to be like you when I grow up 😊 and periodically declutter. My problem is 99% of my things give me joy. 😂 But seriously, I need to declutter. Thanks.❤
I started organizing my closet several days ago. I’m at a removing stage and think putting everything on bed or floor is a waste of time and energy. I put a large bin by the closet for what I keep and a plastic bag for donate. For me it is faster. Because of my back problems I have to take breaks and go to bed. I can enter my closet now, where before it was not possible. I know it’s a long way still, but I’m not competing with anybody. This is part of my Marie Kondo whole home organization and if I do it right it will be done for a long time. I admire stamina of some ladies in their organization effort and treat it as inspiration, so thank you Meagan.

Thank you! I know it’s definitely a lot easier with more space! I’ve had smaller closets in the past and I’ve found that small sets of drawers can help if you have the room for it 💖

I definitely don’t declutter with the purpose of refilling the space. I love to declutter because it feels really good to let go of stuff that no longer serves me and can maybe be enjoyed by someone else instead. I like the empty space and having just the stuff I know I love 💗

My closet is 22" x 20" deep so it is trickier to keep it simplified & organized. I don't own a dresser.
