Fellow mass resident Stelvio owner finally installed my performance intake and I had a problem with my bottom right screw to my knowledge. I think previous owner damage the thread so I had to use the previous bolt instead of the 4 mm hex key screw that he suggested you install. I was able to get a tight install on the heat shield installing it the opposite way around. After reading a few reviews, I read that some people drove an their intake has fallen off, so I wanted to make sure mine was secure as possible It does sound great especially in sports mode i think im definitely removing the resonator soon. I wanna hear some crackle and pops
For anyone watching this video DO NOT INSTALL THE TOP CIRCULAR BOLTS THE WAY HE DID. He put them in backwards and doing so will have your intake filter fall off. Put the nuts on the inside and don't use the washers. I love the intake but BMS didn't think when it came to the actual mount. Car sounds amazing between 2,000-5,500rpm
Please don’t listen to this. I tried this first, and this is wrong. I ended up having to redo it the way the video said, and I lost one of my bolts 🤦I should’ve just listened to the video. The circular bolts are smaller and rounded so the filter can rub against them without hard edges catching/cutting the seal, also the clamp gets blocked from 40% of the hose it needs to grab because of angular bolts, while it slides underneath rounded bolts
I tried it both ways and the clamp is hitting the bolts so it can’t sit flush. Clamp even slipped off while tightening. Probably going to try without washers, then new bolts.
@@retrogamejunkie6229I replaced the hardware with flat headed Allen’s and a 11mm nut. So I could push it all the way up to the neck. Mine fell off and I didn’t know it for a few miles.
Just installed mine today. Ran into the issue that the supplied hardware is to big and the intake won’t sit flush and slips og when tightened. Went to Home Depot and got some 24x1 in flat head Phillips screws and another adjustable clamp
I recommend using different hardware. The bolt heads they send doesn’t allow the filter to slide far enough up to get a decent grip and will fall off when driving. Ask me how I know. 😢😂
@@JrsGasolineAlley You won’t find me arguing with that statement however you are the one that put in the title that the car is making more power. You do not however show any evidence of that in the video.
That sounds good! Have to ask, did it have any difference in sound at 1000-3000 rpm? Had one of those in my old Alfa 159 and it sounded good only revving at 3000-6000 rpm
Hey man, thanks for the video! Followed it religiously! Only issue I had was the bolts that come with the intake doesn’t allow the metal coupling to go under it can tighten. My intake keeps falling off 😭thoughts? When I tighten the coupling, the intake starts comings off because it’s not wrapped around the intake pipe.
Of course, the engine warranty will not be valid. In addition, it catches the eye as soon as the hood is opened. Wait for the end of the warranty, or return the original filter before going to the service (I don't know if it is sealed/marked)
Check the law in your country or talk to your dealer. In the USA it won't void your warranty unless they can prove it directly caused the failure. This is thanks to the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, but that is only specific to the USA of course.
Trading in my 2 door Rubicon very soon for an Alfa and was wondering if yours has the stock blowoff valve? Sounds great btw, thanks for making this video.
I know BMS doesn't ship to Cali, but buy it from Xtreme Power House. They will ship it to their business in NV then ship to you. Still free shipping too. Just swap it out anytime you need smog or anything.
I was in love with my Giulia and Alfa Romeo as a brand, however, I will never again buy/recommend another Alfa Romeo in my life. I had the brake by wire system fail on me and it caused me to crash and total the car. They sent someone from Bosch to diagnose the vehicle and in the charts it clearly showed that something malfunctioned (brakes were slammed 2 seconds before the impact at 40 MPH and it took more than 1.5 seconds for the speed to start going down.) Stellantis told me that they were not going to take responsibility for it and that I needed to have my insurance pay for the vehicle. Absolute garbage. I will never recommend this car brand to anyone again!

Remove the whole old box and get yourself some silicon tubing and do it up right. Get that filter down in the hole for the air flow
no
😂

would be more inclined to get it if I saw some dyno numbers behind it.
Without a tune, you are hard pressed to make any significant additional power

Do it.
Love it I'm from Mass aswell just got my 18 ti sport last year. Sounds nice 👌 just subbed

I just bought this, and gonna install it tmrw. Does this improve any performance? Any extra horsepower?
I would love to do this to my guilia but I worry it would void my warranty. Has anybody installed this and had any problems as far as warranty?

Did you get a check engine light after installing?
No I did not
Love them cars there one of a kid thanks for the tips bro
You got it
@@JrsGasolineAlley no bro My friend drives one back here in Belfast Northern Ireland gorgeous car his one is bright red
do you need a tune to see power or throttle response results after installing this intake?
nice garage bro thanks for the vid!
So it’s pretty much just the shield and filter from bms. Any other alternatives
Where do you buy that filter ?👍🏻🚘
Whats the difference between this and a cold air intake?
This takes ambient air from the engine bay and intake duct. Cold air usually goes down into the bumper for colder air.
Just bought a new Giulia Veloce in the UK. Would fitting this void my 3 year warranty.?

Has gas mileage economy taken a hit?
Does it sound better for you in automatic or manual mode?
Where do I can find this filter
Can you do this on the base model? Just bought it tonight!
Yep!
Just got one 2 days ago
Can i use this also for the Stelvio? Where can I buy it thanks
Yes you can
Nice hot air intake.
Gulp gulp!
Where can you buy that filter ?
Hi where do you buy this
I has 2019 alfa romeo, I want to upgrade my in
Trading in my 2 door Rubicon very soon for an Alfa and was wondering if yours has the stock blowoff valve? Sounds great btw, thanks for making this video.
Stock everything except this intake. Good luck with your Alfa, I bet you will love it!
Can I also do this if i have a Stelvio?
Yes you can
will you get worse gas milage?
Where can I buy that filter
Great video
Thanks, that's kind of you
Is that a stock turbo ?
Yes
Will it pass smog
Just changing out the filter still use the stock MAF. No codes. Haven’t smogged it yet but I don’t see any reason it won’t pass
No gain because this intake is open in the motor space
What diameter is the filter?
Should be around 90-100mm
I bought one, for my 2020 Stelvio- I hear no sound difference. - Still sounds like crap
K, cool
isnt pointless? how about air temp inside the engine room... logically it seems like a scam to me - besides - it looks good
Scam? nah intakes are not a "dishonest scheme"
I dropped my bolts into my car and I can’t find them
me 2 bro
unfortunately im in California

buy your own air filter and make a custom metal plate lol. 140 bucks for this is a rip. legit just a filter and plate… nothing special
Dont put this junk in your car lol just get a dry air filter and that’s it
Second sound legit is exhaust sound wtf is this scam
Huh?
This thing is garbage. HEAT SOAK CITY. I hope it didn’t cost more than $80. A cone filter and a piece of coated sheet metal. Dam.
none of those problems. but okay.
