Much enjoyed and much appreciated. 👍
Love these, keep up the great work.
Thnx. Like it. 🤟
Yes brilliant
This is an absolutely silly metric you're using to determine the "most watched series" What does followers on social media have to do with a series being "the most watched". Indy 500 alone has over 5 million viewers.
More people really need to watch Sportscar racing.
The Rolex 24 at Daytona and 24h of Le Mans are absolute legends of racing.
Monaco Grand Prix.
@@SJAutos Monaco is great, but that's not a reason to not watch the WEC or IMSA!
I'm actually surprised how small the Viewership of IMSA and WEC is
@@SJAutos Rolex and and Le Man's clear though.
@@williammatthews9678Seriously, WRC+ was super expensive 😂
IMSA is helli underrated. When you’re at events fan access is top notch. Some teams will even let you in the garage as long as you stay out of their way. I met Jordan and Ricky Taylor, Kamuy Kobayashi and Felepe Albuquerque.
Same thing here in Europe for WEC championship, (i think IMSA is less restricted) that’s the beauty of a series with “low” spectators compared to F1
They used to do that for the lower NASCAR series as well. I remember a long time ago going to races at Watkins Glen and just being allowed to walk around the paddock where all the trucks were being worked on.
Racing as a whole is just way more open and interactive than any other sport and (most) of the drivers are super chill and that's part of what makes it so great.
@@riccardo6820any series like that?...
Aw man, lucky! I want to meet Ricky and Filipe one day
@@ninetailedfox579121can still do that with imsa
I'm really suprised by the numbers. Formula e actually having a following surprised me the most. Considering how new this series really is compared to IMSA,DTM, WEC. I guess this series has some broad apeal to viewers.
probably because of how formula e is so strategy orientated and very competitive and close racing
@@OscarZheng50a lot more series have much more strategy, competitiveness, close (and actually clean) racing yet are not even on the list. The actual reason is mostly just marketing, as is the case with every series on this list. Also a bit of greenwashing helps.
It's targeted at a younger audience and uses a lot of social media advertising plus it's often on free to air TV channels or free streams.
Haters are a loud minority I guess. IMSA though and honestly, maybe even WEC are seriously underrated.
@@OscarZheng50nah i still piss off with the "fan boost" bullsh*t that makes this sport still sucks
F1 and MotoGP since the birth of this sporting event, nothing can beat its prestige
Indeed
Because they’re the top of their categories. F1 is the top car/4 wheel racing series. MotoGP the top bike/two wheel racing series. Every other series will always be under it as long as they keep it at that level. And tear after year the legacy grows.
Indy was older lol
@@sandordomonkos8351 He said nothing about which one is older though.
group b was more famous in the 80 than f1
IndyCar is super underrated. If you can get past the broadcasting. The on track action is unreal.
Because everyone basically has the same kit. Everyone has a chance at winning. Now imagine that in F1. Nothing but a pipe dream. 😂
@@SimRacingVeterannot everyone does lol
@@SimRacingVeteranpeople have this ridiculous false illusion that everyone can win in INDYCAR that’s not the case my friend Penske won 9/17 races last year
@@SimRacingVeteranthen you actually get to see who's the best of the best
@@fortaaa6314And Redbull have already won all 9 of the race in F1. Plus Penske has 3 drivers showing more different winners. If that isn't enough, Max had won 7 of the nine races. If you count 2022, it has been over half a year since Redbull didn't win the main race.
Indycar and WEC are so underrated !
Dude IMSA And WEC are underrated as hell I watch every race and it never gets boring so much action on track risky moves great strategy and it’s just awesome to watch
I'm surprised that NASCAR is in a 3rd place of most watched motorsports, they makes me happy as a fan.
fe and wec is soooo underrated
Fe Is shit. Wec #imsa and #indycar underrated a lot
This video was based on the social media followings of each series. I am curious to know how this affects series with older fans in particular. The average age of NASCAR fans is 58 compared to 36 for F1 and MotoGP. Social media across most platforms is typically dominated by people closer to 30.
I've been watching F1 and MotoGP for over 20 years and they are still my favorite series worldwide. I love WRC though and touring car racing BTCC but with no consistent coverage of it in the US, I have to jump through too many hoops to try to watch it. Same for fir Australian Supercars. These last two produce race after race some of the most action packed racing anywhere, making anything else seem boring in comparison.
You can watch on WRC+
Weird how WRC is so high, considering the last time the series was in good health was in the early 2000's. Guess it shows how much potential the series has.
The FIA really shoots itself in the foot with WRC. If they organized rally events in North America, reduced the barrier of entry for car manufacturers and actually tried to present the sport in an internationally friendly way, I have no doubt the sport would take off. Rallying is an incredibly exciting sport, I showed a friend of mine (a big F1 fan) rally clips and he was blown away, he had never seen racing like that, and I can't blame him, there isn't any easy way to stumble on it, which is such a shame, because he'd be a die-hard fan if it was.
@@AK-ZL1 I believe Tennessee will appear next year for the 2024 season. I’m hyped for wrc to touch the U.S.
WRC is followed for the majority by only rally fans, I can guarantee that!
It is a bit like a world of its own, rally fans just watch rally and non WRC fans just don’t follow the sport. I’m into rally and WRC since I was a kid and I can guarantee you that in Europe is plenty of people who likes, follows and go to watch WRC events. Last year Rally Montecarlo had something like 200.000 spectators
trough the weekend. I have to admit that the last couple of years were not the best since the championship was never really open and manufactures are missing, but the years from 2017-2021 were the most viewed ever and the most spectacular, providing the fastest cars in rally history.
@@bepi1332 man you guys are so lucky lol, i love watching rally highlights but i can't really justify signing up for WRC+ right now. Eventually I will, but I'd rather just be able to go watch it in person, I'd drive wherever to go see it, but unfortunately, can't drive from Canada to Europe lol
@@AverageJoe777 I saw a while back that they were doing tests there! Is it actually officially confirmed to be part of the 2024 season?
NASCAR in top 3, pretty good to see the ratings go up. Probably going to have more since SVG'S win attracting Australia and New Zealand to the sport.
True. Plus their involvement in the le mans with garage 56
Probably not. The % of those who watched SVG and will never watch another race will be significant.
@@bremCZ Probably right about that.
@@bremCZluckily it seems like he’s coming back full time, so those fans will end up being back

Really surprised that more people watch formula E than Indycar. As KMag once said:
"Racing in an electric car is better than a kick in the balls. But only just".
formula e is very underrated, its got some of the best racing I seen of all those racing series
the graphics based off social media following not actual viewship, it woudnt suprise me is if indycar had more viewers than fe

@@milesr4609 wdym formula e would still have good racing on spa, they wont be fast for sure but all teams are impacted by the change. overtakes are rather hard on spa so there wont be as much wheel to wheel action but at least the cars wont be separated by 10 seconds
ive been a nascar superfan since 95 and man, its makes me happy to see how popular its getting. i just hope with growing popularity it doesnt stray from its core principles
Too late
@dlm425 I agree with that tho. they have bent the knee to alot of shit. but hey. still support it
I honestly thought nascar was going to rank lower but third is not bad
The fact that NASCAR is ranked higher than WEC and WRC, two world championships, is pretty impressive.
The problem with most of these series is they are hard to watch for the average person.
It’s real easy to watch Formula 1 because it’s on ESPN ever race in the states. Indycar and NASCAR are also pretty easy because they have regular cable broadcasts. There’s a deep dropoff from there.
I would love more WRC coverage, bring in more money and more manufactures but it has like no coverage in the US, forget about live viewing.
IMSA, WEC, ELMS, SUPER GT are my go to's. Too bad Super GT doesn't get as much exposure cause it's a damn good series.
And they say nobody watches NASCAR anymore. Numbers say otherwise, folks
I would say nascar has a lot less than F1 but NASCAR is just USA and F1 is worldwide
@@NerdybettaI'm not from USA and I watch Nascar
@@HanTheNascarGuy mb man
Can confirm nascar is popular outside the united states too
I mean, they raced at Le Mans, in the rain at Chicago, with a supercar expert winning it, and somehow it still didn't get a bump from that
Been watching a lot of Motorsports as of lately, and I have to say, Sportcar racing is where it is at right now.
Thanks so much for the content.
It would be interesting to have an update on this every year, showing evolution of each series.
You have no idea how much i needed this 😂
I’m a proud viewer of IMSA/WEC absolutely love it super underrated
Hmm, title says "Most Watched" but if the data is social media fanbase I'd call that "Most Popular"? Depending on where you live you probably can't even actually watch some of these series, yet you might follow them on SM because that's your only choice. I used to be a huge WRC fan, but then they took it off US TV so my interested dwindled.
WRC in the 80s and 90s was ahead of F1 in terms of popularity, or maybe equal. That eras of the WRC was top notch. Maybe one day we will enjoy something like that
Wow! Didn’t know MotoGP had that much following. Learned something.
More people watching formula e than wec, imsa, and indycar is insane to me😂
Sportcar racing is way behind where it should be now, 2023 season has been mindblowing, best racings accross all disciplines, and coming years will be exponentially better.
this vid is fire
I still love WEC even tho I'm a motogp fan, the nail biting moments in WEC is just insane
I'd like to see more on the comparison. Like BTCC, Supercars and Isle of Man TT
The numbers following on social media are interesting, but I would like to see a comparison of the number of spectators in the stands. One with revenue generated by each series would be cool, too.
It is the pinnacle of Motorsport
In Quebec we have F1 and NASCAR some IndyCar races but not all, we have FE and Canadian Nascar. We don't have the rest of the categories on most sports cables channels.
Nice quality
I personally can not belive how underrated the WEC and IMSA are. It looks so exciting when Hypercars/GTPs chase eachothers while racing between the LMP2 and GT cars
Still, they won't allow Acura race in Le Mans 💀
@@NikiN1 what? Now that you mention that, the WEC and Le Mans are doing a survey and one of the questions is "What brands would you like to see in the WEC?" and neither Acura nor Honda are included in the list of options

I'm A Big IMSA fan living in Tampa w the Rolex and Sebring races nearby, shocked that it's not higher being global and all
Yeah, IMSA deserves more popularity. Ive been to most of IMSA's races in the United states from 2007 to 2023. Its really thrilling to watch. Also tbh I wish they brought back Group 5,
Im super Happy that Dtm has Alphatauri
Moto GP??? That caught me by surprise. Wasn't expecting that.
wec, imsa, and indycar desevre way more viewers
if nascar ever go wordwide it would be MASSIVE .
I would absolutely love for Nascar to do races in both Mexico & The Philippines. I feel like both countries would be fantastic markets to tap into. I'm Filipino & I would love to see a lot of Filipino drivers.
Unfortunately they don’t have the same logistical aptness that F1 does for global operations

Im amazed, Imsa and WEC are some of the best racing you can watch. I guess it can be chalked up to Peacock in the US and WEC not really having a great app to watch with
IMSA and WEC are criminally low
How people watch less Indy than FE ?
And as a french who watches NASCAR, seeing it in P3 is a really, really good surprise
Indycar, IMSA/WEC and Australian Supercars should be higher in viewers, most of the people doesn't realize there is better racing out there apart from F1 and Nascar.
Moto GP is huge. But everyone in it feels like they are a plucky underdog to F1.
True… idk why they’re stuck in that mindset at the moment.
Well it's true ATM, if you're not in command of a Ducati.
Nah obviously for us asians, motogp is flagship of the motorsports. Its 25% asians population were counted 30millions of motogp followers while europeans got stuck in lame-ass less overtake f1(thanks to money ofc) 😂
If you wanna talk about real plucky underdogs, there's the WEC and IMSA.
Racing needs to be more popular
WEC SO UNDERRARTED!
I was actually convinced Indycar was 1st because of the most traditional Race in all of Motorsports Racings History.
As an American, it’s Formula 1 and American Football for me in that order. I don’t even watch basketball anymore. The only two sports left for me that are accessible and watchable.
If you're an American why do you put russian flag on your profile?)
I get that NBC sucks, but calling F1 more watchable than IndyCar is laughable.
@@ninetailedfox579121 F1 is more popular so many people think otherwise.
Weird that Formula E and WRC have more viewers than indycar. I hear that no one is watching formula e all the time.
I've been Watching it since Gen 1. I've already convinced my cousin to watch too. If you ignore the whistle of the cars, it's actually quite entertaining. And the Portland race showed that more permanent circuits would do the series good.
The title is kind of misleading. The numbers are not from viewers, but social media following. Which does not directly correlate with viewership if you search for it.

NASCAR 13.5 Million People
Imsa is very underrated, is an spectacular categorie, and my favorite one, recomended to everyone
In my country, before I could see those series, now there is only F1 and Moto GP
IndyCar is criminally underrated.
Indycar and nascar have great racing
I have been having a blast watching motogp race. Plus they have to drive "less aggressive", they can't just bump into people, since they only got 2 wheels and no interior.
Just a suit and a helmet, one wrong move and they can seriously injure themselves (even more so than an F1).
IndyCar in May: STONKS
Litteraly every car rising got me saying "oh really?"
Would be better with a few more series in there
Your title is misleading. You say watched, but you mean social media following or what?

A lot of comments in here about this or that being underrated, but WRC is BY FAR the most fun to watch, drifts, smoke, bodywork on fire, jumps, and it's all "real" in a sense. Sure you can have that with Stadium Supertucks but that's basically indoor racing by comparison.
Drive to Survive really impact F1 numbers. I want to say 100% of people I know who follow F1 because of the Netflix series are not watching other race series. I only know one person who will watch highlights and hasn’t committed to watching a full WEC, IMSA or MotoGP race but are fully committed to F1
Well I can't blame them for not watching a full WEC or IMSA race, those tend to be quite long
