The worst thing about Tool is that you can't experience their songs for the first time again.
This is true but watching someone else's first reaction to Tool is almost as good. I love these reaction videos
I love that expression that says oh that was soooo good!
Oh but you can, every time I listen there are new nuances that I didn't notice previously. I also like to focus on different parts of the tracks as I listen (vocals, guitar, bass, drums) to experience the songs differently.
I can experience it through this dude. Spiral out buddy.
If I had a dollar for everytime I read this comment in the past 5 years id have about $20
"Why is the drummer going so HARD?". I've been asking that question for almost thirty years now.
"It's rumored that Danny made a deal with the devil. Noone knows what Danny got but the devil got drum lessons"
@@Carmeh XD
@@Carmeh Danny got introduced to Maynard!
When he's done going that hard, he will stop.
If a tree falls in the forest, will Danny Carey be there to play polyrhythmic compositions on it?
@@Carmeh I think it was just a six pack or forbidden donut or something, because he was already good to go!
“Toolgasm” ... never a more accurate description
"Why is the drummer going so hard?" Haha!
Also... That Toolgasm!
Because he can!
@@patsstuffclark9522 hi algorithm buddy. I'm an hour late saying the same thing on a year old comment. Cheers
While he calls it going hard... Danny Carey calls it Tuesday afternoon. It be like that
As a 27 year long fan of Tool, this is a dream come true. I feel like I'm sharing the experience with each one of these people, which, musically is all I ever want. For people who have not been graced by Tool to now be blessed is tremendous. 💚
We remember that first love...like it was yesterday.
16 years old, cruising around in my buddies 89' blazer, two 12 inch rockfords, smoking a J and hearing Tool for the first time, fucking take me back to 98'. The first guy is the perfect representation of my reaction. I get the chills all over seeing other people experience it as well. Side note, time needs to chill the fuck out...40 snuck up on me.
@@offhandacoustic enjoy the ride before the great gathering. spiraling out, man. 💚✌️
@@offhandacoustic blazin in the blaze, haha good times.
I am so jealous of all these youngins getting to experience Tool for the first time. In reality though I am 27 years in and they are still epic. GOAT.
After 20 years of listening to Tool they still blow me away. Tears flow
I’m just glad that after listening to tool for nearly 30 years that they are still inspiring and helping new people to see things in ways they wouldn’t have otherwise. They are masters of their art and I sincerely hope beyond hope that we haven’t heard the last thing they have to add to the conversation.
Turned 16 just a little while ago and started listening about a year and a half ago. Needless to say they’ve changed the way I’ve perceived music for the better.
That section of Lateralus is a pinnacle of man’s creation. I open wide to suck it in and feel it move across my skin. TOOL albums have always been there throughout my life to guide me, provoke me, challenge me, entertain me, reminding me that I am not alone.
Right there with you. All this pain is an illusion.
Tool is like day drinking with your best friend- KING KTF
yeah, how TF you going to have this compilation without Preston?
I'm a Lyft driver in Atlanta, and I play Tool songs for people for all the time... no complaints, still a 5.0, plenty of tips... and a lot of headbanging.
Who headbangs to Tool?
@@jessietaylor790 black people in Atlanta that never heard it before
@@jessietaylor790 like a fuckin slayer concert in my back seat
Yeah, Dylan Caldwell kicking it off!
Lmao I love that guy
Him and his wife do the best reaction vids ever... You can tell the music is hitting them in a very primal way
Love watching people go down the Tool rabbit hole.
Those of us with PTSD feel these songs are healing because they articulate archetypes.
Hectic's reaction to Ticks and Leeches is hilarious. When Danny Carey gets into his drum climax after the mellow mid-section and Maynard's screams...you can see Hectic's brain just shut down.
8:54 he was like ok let me pause this for a ... oh nevermind
The Irish kid Drew and his reaction to the drop. "What the fook was that?!". Pure gold!
Irish.
Dylan just always catches that vibe of his. It's amazing to watch. He lets himself go!
Lost In Vegas is one of my favorite reaction channels for both metal/rock and hip-hop. I loved their video for Pneuma. They fell in love instantly and once Adam's heavy riff came in they lost it!
KillerAP is also a favorite. He catches the time signatures and nuances. Really smart guy!
I could go on for ages. I definitely grew to love reaction channels once the right people started doing it. Actually breaking things down and trying to understand it. But also being able to let the music take them on a trip. I love seeing others enjoy Tool for the first time like this.
Yeah, I can finally finish part 4 since he posted the 7empest reaction. Should be up on the 9th.
I find so much joy in watching people react to Tool's music for the first time. It's major nostalgia for me, because I remember hearing all of these songs for the first time, and my nown mind and soul exploding with feelings I didn't even know I had!
There’s a moment in every rock fan’s life when they discover Pink Floyd and realize that they’re just the best songwriters and composers that the genre has to offer. Their albums are untouchable, and make you feel a certain way that not other band can make you feel. They are completely original, irreplaceable, and unmistakable.
The same thing happens when metal fans discover Tool. There is nothing like Tool. They aren’t the most technical band in the world, but they’re the only ones that consistently blend crazy technicality with infectious hooks, simple guitar riffs with complex song arrangements, and meaningful lyrics sang over spacious instrumentals. They are on an entirely different level than everybody else in the metal world. The way they build a song up, pay it off, break it down, build it up again, and always leave you guessing as to what is coming next… there is nothing like it. They are the greatest band I have ever heard.
ive been tool fan since the undertow and even now the music still makes my the hair on my arm stand up...crazy
I can't imagine what it's like to be experiencing tool for the first time amidst oceans of pop music being so dominant. I think it's kind of like that scene in Beavis and butted do America where they get lost in the desert and dehydrated a d then start hallucinating. Glorious.
First dude had the acid in his spine reactivate
EVERY member of Tool is next level awesome at what they do
Watching the noobs react is really fun, makes me laugh! Everyone is a Tool fan, some just don't know it yet.
I'm only 20, but I've been listening to tool since I was in the womb, my parents were hugeee Maynard fans (have tool and a perfect circle tattoos all over) seeing all these people become fans is literally the best ever. Also THE TOOLGASM.
Your parents have some good taste. Now so do you!
Check out Puscifer and Perfect Circle if you haven’t . Maynard doesn’t miss
@@Crybaby-Media love them all! Maynard a god!
Love watching all these people trying to nod their heads along. You could show a video of someone doing this with no sound and you could instantly tell they were listening to Tool. Killer AP (who you have here) gets the time signatures, but otherwise it's hilarious to watch.
Zap Limited
Too bad Chris Farley is dead , I’m sure he could do it
lol "Why is the drummer going so hard? Why is the drummer going so hard? Yo"
I believe it's immeasurable how much the band Tool has changed the world, for the better.
POCKET SAND!!!!
@@samanthajenkins2899 SHI SHI SHAA!!!
I finally get to see this band…I’ve been wanting to see them since 6th grade….I’m 30
It’s just fuckin incredible…be prepared to get your hair blown back!! I will be going to my 25th and 26th show on Jan 31st and Feb 2nd can’t hardly wait myself!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Dude in the beginning having a full on toolgasam. We've all been there bro!
I bought my first Tool album in '93 or 94 in my senior year in highschool. They are literally the ONLY band that I have listened to since then. With all the other bands there came a point when I had just listened to them so much that I got burned out on them. I still look at Tool the same way I did then.
It helps that their albums always sound like they could have just come out, Lateralus sounds just as good as anything they did since.
I've seen Tool a half dozen to times since the late 90s. They have hands down the best live sound of any concert I've been too, and I saw Pink Floyd in 94 who were known for their live sound. It was especially great in the context of the other bands at the time.
This is when heavy rock had a real shift in tone. Reverb and mid-range were replaced with detuned guitars with their mid-range scooped out, bass going down in pitch with 5 & 6 strings, and a LOT of kick drum. Most rock concerts were so loud and bottom end heavy that you could hardly hear anything above a certain frequency. The guitar player would be playing a solo; you knew they got to the section of the song with the solo, and you could see the guitar player making the ubiquitous "guitar solo face," but you could only hear every 8th or 9th note. They'd boost the volume for solos, but it didn't do anything because there was still no mid-range. If they just kicked on a Tube Screamer or an EQ with the mids bumped up you would be able to hear them no problem, alas...
Tool however. They were loud, but always in the Sweet spot. They were so clear that you could hear Maynard's inhalations and Adam Jones's pick hitting the string. It was as close to sounding like headphones as anything I've heard.
8:24 is the perfect example of hearing a new tool song: not knowing when to bang your head.
LMAO Man... Next up, Tool reaction videos to Tool reaction videos reacting to Tool reaction videos. Tool Inception
Forever and ever
"Spiral out, keep going"
I once saw a lone gentleman react to the Fear Inoculum track. His first listen to new Tool in 13 years. He starts the track then pauses it to look up the lyrics. Then he hit play and when the first chorus comes in he then breaks down balling his heart out. One of the most moving for me. Love these reactions! Thank you 🙏 . . . Just found it. It’s under Sage Grey RUclips channel. Love it!!
The night I sat down and listened to the new album it was a bit misty in the room for sure. TOOL is just the band that hits with me, more than any other. It was like being back in the same room with a close loved one you haven't seen in years.
This is awesome, I feel like the only issue watching a video like this is I wanna hear the rest of every song! God I love watching people blown away by Tool. I feel like I need to go door to door like a Jehovahs Witness and spread the good news..
I was thinking the same😃
If you ever tried it, you k ow the drums after that 27 second scream are perfectly aligned to how your body shakes from almost passing out... Maynard is a monster... Real talk...
Love the Toolgasm clip. Perfect word for what that man experienced.
Thanks man, this is awesome! More please!
When I tell people how much Tool is amazing... those are the reaction I expect!
Dylan is the man, best Tool (and music in general) reactions on RUclips
As soon as the Pnuema one popped up. The city lights behind them and the song gave me HEAVY acid flashbacks. Fuck yes. Like im right there again in Pittsburgh. Best god damn band alive.
That first one hit me hard haha. Laterals has been my number 1 favourite song of all time, for about 10 years now ever since I found it. I haven't listened to it in a long time but that just brought the wave of nostalgia back at 💯 excitement level. Just what I needed, love it. Hahaha
Love it. I definitely want a part 2
Coming soon
the first guy could just be a normal fan listening to them for the 1,000th time lol
Yeah that's how I react and I listen to Lateralis every dat
I think I have a new kind of favorite videos now.
Watching people experience Tool for the first time is almost as good as the first time you hear them
Love seeing Tool fans unite in the journey.
"why is the drummer going so hard??!!"
no sir... that's Danny. he's got a big silly smile on his face and hasn't broken a sweat yet. there are only a handful of legends that can hang with him.
It’s amazing how much we as individuals do not discover by simply drawing an assumptive conclusion about something we know very little about.
Dylan Caldwell and Jim Newstead are my faves 😁
Tool Is the one band that can resonate to anyone from any other songs its powerful stuff
this video is beautiful. The looks on their face when they anticipate a TOOL solo. SICK
This is an awesome video SIR. Thank you for your service to the TOOL ARMY
Late 70’s Chuck Norris at the beginning was so intense.
Greatest band in history hands down
The emotion behind the reaction at 5:20. I feel that every time I listen to no quarter.
Dylan is the GOAT of Tool reactions
I’m still subbed for all these reactors.
Same.. must have over 100+ reactors from all types of music.
Lateralus is probably the greatest song ever
"He held the note" 😂
Got sent here by one of my Patrons! Thanks for including me 😆🤘🏼🔧
Still finishing off Reacting to the Undertow album if anyone wants to join the journey - I’ve pretty much got their whole discography covered at this point, 35+ Reactions here for anyone who wants to catch up😁🙏🏻: ruclips.net/p/PLHypkTSfe762J9CRHHB0wdOZ0v-SZsmZy
Aye that patron knows what's up haha, thanks for watching!
I love watching these just to see people try to headbang to Tool. It just can't be done you guys...
I haven't heard anyone ever mention what I think and feel about Tool when I watch these reactions! They are the Wyld Stallyns!!!
The lost in Vegas Pneuma reaction is quite possibly the best reaction video on RUclips it literally makes me happy every time I go back lol please go watch it if you haven’t
That dude holding his headphones ramming it into his ears is the goat
The guy with the hat in the Vegas one started chewing his gum in polyrhythms
The fact that you have no less than 4 videos of Tool reaction compilations says all that needs to be said.
could make an entire video of the lost in vegas boys creaming for tool
WEEABOOS reaction to Descending is mystical... he almost cries near the end.
Yeah, that rabbit hole at 6:50 gets me E'RYTIME!!!!!
when i was 12 my family moved to a town where they played alt rock and thats when i first heard tool- i used to fall asleep sometimes to their albums in middle school because theyd bring such peace to my mind ) until "Faaip de Oiad" woke me up loll
That dude listening to the patient is a mood
Toolgasm?? Perfect! 🤣😂🤣
No Quarter got me too. AWESOME
Why is the Drummer going so Hard?………….. because an octopus does what an octopus does……
I forget who it is but my favorite reaction is when I guy stands up and throws his headphones down
The only problem with Tool is that you can only experience the first time once. So is Tool the music equivalent to heroin?
That's what Danny Carey do! Justin Chanselor is a killer bassist.
D Music Life... The guy doing Lateralus at one minute in, him and his wife do the best, absolute best reaction vids ever. And what I love about them is they never ask for anyone to subscribe and they damn sure never ask for patreon shit. They do their thing, if you dig it, cool, if not, cool.
We need a reaction video to all these reactions
5:02 kills me every time 😭😭
I love lost in Vegas guys!
god i love seeing people get lost in this music
TOOLGASM!! Yessssss
When dude gets mindfucked at 8:54 I just pointed at the screen and laughed.
Dylan "this is maaaaaath""
I can't watch him, feel like he knows the music already, space cowboy hippy personality irks me for whatever reason.
😈Your an evil genius! 😈
We could rename this video-Greatest stink faces of all time
i do all that reactions everytime i heard Tool
Ktf is my fav to watch tool reactions
The first guy is a kindred spirit..
Who ever made this video .... Bless your kind soul
Thanks you too 😀
9:00 tells everything
Toolgasm ties for the best gasmic manifestation!
“Why is the drummer going so hard?”
- Gen Z
“Did you see bonzo for 3 hours without the sticks ever??“
- anyone not Gen z
Tool rules the world!!!
Tool is the bridge to everything.
Dylan likes his psychedelics I see… lmao
Great Job! #SpiralOut
Toolgasm on the third guy is eeeeexactly it
First dude looks like he’s trying to pass one of those ‘sideways turds’ at times…
That second guy sounded exactly like Dave Chappelle imitating a white guy.
