I'm glad she got that opportunity to be among the legends because she was one of them always. I've never seen this before,and it's so bittersweet to see those times once again,so very touching. I’ve listened to this more times than I can remember and it’s amazing to my ears. I’m almost 80 now and the talent brought together for this extravaganza was extraordinary to say the least. Sinead definitely was a unique talent. This song in particular is so good to listen to.👍👍🇨🇦

The video you’re watching is from the dress rehearsals. As you say there was recording/audio issues on the concert footage so they had to use the rehearsal footage in the live dvd.
The night of the show a lot of problems happened. I remember clearly that Danko and Helm made a mistake (one said "clean" and the other "warm" in the same moment) and Waters shook his head smiling bitterly. This video DVD (and the old VHS too) is edited with the performance of the rehearsals. By the way I still envy you for being there in that incredible night. Waters and the O'Connor didn't get along at all. A lot of harsh words between them flew during the years.
In what corner where you standing? Where I was (and around the 500.000 with me) was load as hell! I can agree that problems with the sound was on/off, but hey.....the wall was gone!
👏 - I admit NOT having listened to Sinead sing more than a handful of songs in my 70ish yrs. THIS was a 💖 heart wrenching cover of a 45+ y.o. 🌟 PF song imho - her strong voice came out full of passion, emotion, and ‘life’ that I was close to tears 😥. It’s unusual for me to find someone who I feel does justice to the original, and more rare when I think theirs is better - which in this case I think hers was. Sinead’s voice is the most expressive instrument I’ve heard. And the Band the soul of music; can’t help thinking she and the great Garth had a moment as he put the finishing touches on the piece.
There is something special about Roger and how he makes the magic. I Love David and how he gives us their songs, but Roger is VERY creative ... the accordion is AMZING ! Sinead fits perfectly with the Band guys and this haunting poem of a rock song ... Magic music !
Listening in December 2024 because been listening to Peter Green and then Gary Moore and it led me here. Must admit Garry Moore still blows me away !! Did meet Peter Green at "Music in the Park" in Wadebridge Cornwall many years ago possibly around the millennium!!!
Awesome version. This concert was celebrating the wall coming down in Berlin and the defeat of communism and the soviets. It was a huge event. Families separated by that wall for decades were re-united, etc.

This concert was celebrating the wall coming down in Berlin and the defeat of communism and the soviets. It was a huge event. Families separated by that wall for decades were re-united, etc.
