      It only works for stuff that's really light, as the heavier the object the more intense the laser has to be in order to exert a useful force on it, and after a certain point the lasers just melt everything or light things on fire, and after a certain point beyond that, they blow stuff up.       Actually it's a stator beam. It doesn't pull you in just holds you at the same distance. Unless you have adaptive optics.

    A lot of people don't know that this is also how airplanes fly. Many textbooks will tell you something about Bernoulli's Principle, but the vast majority of lifting force actually comes from the redirection of the fluid

      I am confident that's the "LIANG High Power Blue Flashlight" But what isn't shown in this video is how stupidly powerful that laser is. Even if you're wearing eye protection, and it's not facing you, and you're squinting, it'll give you a headache. If you shine it outside it'll light up the entire area, and also give a blue beam you can see with the naked eye for literally miles. You can burn images in paper with it. It's super cheap, about $65.

    Basically, the ball moves into the water because of the increased velocity of the water at the ball's maximum point of curvature, consequently the that area is the point of lowest pressure, and areas of low pressure create attraction/suction, hence the ball moves tiwards it.

    The phenomenon shown with the water and ball (the Coanda effect) is also a major factor in how aircraft wings generate lift and why airplanes can take off and fly. It's more than just the Bernoulli Principle which is what most people learn about lift.

    Optical trapping / tweezers. Did that experiment when I was an undergrad. We trapped all types of stuff under a microscope in the laser. My friend accidentally cut his finger, so we started viewing his blood cells. You can literally grab stuff inside cells and move them around with a joystick.
