Jenna Johnson, thank you, appreciate your help and quick response, your idea is indeed evil genius 😊 waiting to try the homemade lace recipe...however we don't get tylose here, just gumtex.
+Faye Fernandes The tulle is a little trick that we discovered several years ago when using other acrylic stencils. When wrapping the stencil around a round cake, little bits of the stencil would pop up away from the curve causing the Royal Icing to smear underneath it. One day, the Evil Cake Genius, in a moment of desperation, put a stencil on a tier and grabbed a piece of tulle netting to stretch over the stencil. It held the stencil perfectly flat along the curve of the cake, and we've never looked back! You can find tulle in any craft or fabric store. We get ours in the Wedding area, where they sell convenient 6" wide spools. You can use this method with any acrylic stencils. It has saved us tons of cakey mishaps!! Our mesh stencils already have a fine fabric backer, so they do not require the use of the tulle.
We use a just add water mix that you can find on our site here: evilcakegenius.com/index.php/equipment-supplies/food-products/baking-mixes/royal-icing-mix.html

How long do you let it dry before you remove the stencil?
+Janice Billie We remove the stencil immediately after we are done scraping the frosting so that the royal doesn't dry and crack when we remove it.
Thanks!
What type of icing use? Is royal icing?
+Enrique Ramos Yes it is!
Delicadicimo!
