You should troll people and use a banjo for the next artist, then say sorry guys this is as close as i could get to a gibson les paul... lol :) but you must say it with a straight face.
You could have reached out to Bobby Koelble to ask about amp and pedals, he played on the album. Really nice dude and easy to get a hold of. Also, if you haven’t heard this song, check it out. Every riff is a hall of fame riff. The riff right after this riff is amazing, the middle riff, the chunky palm muted riff, perfect. One of if not my favorite Death riffs Chuck put under the solo. Every riff rips on this song.
I got a pretty good death sound with my Yamaha RGX32FZ, MaxonOD808, into my Katana. I really like it, however one thing i cannot achieve is the fizzy sound you get from tube amps which in my experience you can only get from a tube amp.
I am a big fan of Death. Guillaume, I apprecciate your intention, but please, put more effort into showcasing the tone. You don´t need to learn the full song, but at least mimic the fast part. And some solo lick, even just one bar. That´s where you can showcase the tone. It just may fall apart when played fast. Personally, I suggest leaving out the part where you teach the riff (or lick), since we all saw you play it about six times during the first part. I skip it, but maybe it´s useful for others. Just making suggestions. Cheers for making good content in the first place :-)
Hey thanks for watching and for your suggestions! I completely understand and will try to expand on the parts covered in the videos, but in fairness it's hard enough to keep these short and weekly so I have yet to figure out how to include more parts tutorial and keep the videos watchable ^^ I'll try though! Have a great day! // Guillaume
Chuck left sooo much music to inspire the others, thank you for Symbolic tunes and that tone...
I couldn't agree more! Hope you enjoyed the video :) // Guillaume

Something from Machine heads the more things change album or Chimairas the Impossibility of reason album?! Massive guitar tones
I think, you get veeeeeeery close (considering, you dont use similar gear) and also playing sounds very very close. Great job Guill.
Thank you so much Stanislav it means a ton! // Guillaume
There is Tony Iommi and .... Chuck. Yeah, i have to agree on that. Well said. You just earned a subscription ;)
Almost every Death album has an 800 with an SD1 on it too. Bobby Koeble and Rick Rozz confirmed it with me on Facebook
Oh that's awesome thank you for sharing the info :)! // Guillaume
Thought it was a valvestate
@@DavidMacVicar i definitely think they used Valvestates too in the studio too. I had a valvestate and it defs does the Death thing
Chuck was a big influence and deserves every little bit of praise
