I've been making a prop sub-machine gun, based on the Mk2 Luty, but with a top mounted magazine and some other features. Also looking into making a Sten prop. This sort of work is really fun
that was a good job. Dont worry about all the hate. What you did was time consuming and laborious, and it turned out well. From hand and scratch with cheap materials you cant do a whole lot better. Good job for what it is. I am thinking of making some of these for my classroom, found your video inspirational and educational.
that thing is sweet! Have you ever thought about Bleuing those metal parts? you dont need real bleuing oil. just any motor oil will do. heat it up til its orange then dip it in the oil. it makes the weapon look even more real!
we have another channel we just started were we will be posting videos of us making props and DIY videos its called Goldpointprops. We will posting a video of us making a gun there soon
thanks! i would of blued the metal but it is thin and would warp and not fit properly.but your right it would make it look a lot better.ill experment with different paints to get a more real look.
Same but im gonna have a go at the g98 from ww1 i actually have a real g98 my great grandfather used it in the war its on my wall in my bedroom my cousin loves it so im gonna try make him a replica of it so he can stop drooling over mine 😂😂 good luck with yours 👍
I wouldn't have known it was supposed to be a 1903 replica if I didn't look at the title. It looks like a basic Mauser, but lacks just about everything that makes the 1903 distinctive.
U do an awesome job making props, could u try make an m1 carbine because I'm thinking about making my own and could use some cool mechanisms I'm sure u guys could do.
As with the sawed off shotgun: the metal work is outstanding! You just (IMHO) need to use much better wood. This looks completely off. It's very likely pine judging by the coarse, resinous grain structure. No offense (you have some insane skills!): but the end result does not look convincing for a second. It's mainly the wood. Just needs finer grain. Why not gluing together scrap pieces of some nice walnut, cherry or similar (ask a local lumber yard or check guitar makers/luthiers, or old school furniture makers who know the best deals on top notch wood that looks exactly as needed to make it look perfect - and how to stain and and coat it properly). Also: the black paint on the metal basically betrays all that ace work with those top professional machines. needs that "in use" oiled/waxed look - like blued steel where the steel comes through in worn parts.
I made the same thing! It's just almost the same but the differences are the silver metal on the rifle, and I'm gonna paint it someday and the warmish color is just a little different and lighter And it has a working mechanism
the tools we used in this vid are,jig saw, skill saw, hack saw, welder, grinder, tin snips and a sheet metal break. the stock was made out of a pine 2x6.the barrel was made out of 1/2 inch pipe.and sheet metal for the barrel band.are next weapons we are going to make is a mg-42 and m240b.hope that help if you haver any other questions feel free to ask.
Thanks I made a exact copy but mine has a little more action great build and no I dont a RUclips Channel but I should upload videos of my other hidden hobby
A lot of work for something that can really only be used in background shots. No offense of course it just looks off to me. Pine is cheap but the large grain is obviously not walnut or any other gun wood... If someone needs a cheap 1903 the military made their own dummy rifles, and they arent too expensive either.
Going through all this effort you should have just made a 1903 for real.
Yeah 🥴😂
"movie prop rifle"
It would take a lot more work to make a real one
Bro definitely has no idea how hard it is to make a live firearm 💀
My dad and I are going to make this our summer project
How did it go
and???
I am on another device watch my video I made this with my dad on Abdul hadi gaming and vlogs check it!
That’s what I want to do with my dad
And how did it go?
at 4:51 he burns himself and then puts on glove and then at 4:56 you can see the bandaid on his finger rip
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
Nice
I remember watching this years ago. Thank you recommendations for the nostalgia
So much work. Man, that's dedication. I recommend some sanding to smoothen the action of that bolt mech.

You should open a shop :) awsom work.
thanks! glad you liked it.we might make more videos like this.
How much exactly would you charge for a rifle like this?
the mysterious piece of metal looks like a witch holder for an old smudge pot back before the days of lighted construction signs
Curious of what the metal was that you made your bands with?
I love it, only 1 problem, not all of us have access to all of those tools....
Good for color guard
thanks.hopfully one of these days we will
thanks
Then he does a giveaway of one prop gun...
*OH MY GOD **_Excited_** I WANT!!!*

That is impressive. How long did that take?
What a speed
Man I wish I could do this

Any chance of a custom request? Do you guys have a website? Love the work.

What's the dimensions of the rifle stock? What type of wood did you use? How long and how wide is that plank of wood?
cool

Can you make a replica Flintlock musket like they used in the Sharpe movies.
