As soon as i saw it on Facebook marketplace i knew which boat it was. Thanks so much for your videos, they inspired me to buy my own project boat. Your videos are so easy to follow and gave me the confidence to dive in a have a go at my own boat. I often check back in to the wealth of knowledge they provide, thanks for taking us on the journey.
The good thing is you did all the really hard work that a lot of people don't have the skills to do. Now someone can do all the fun stuff and finish your project.
I feel for you and your viewers. Was so looking forward to seeing this through to completion. Would still love to see the finished boat if you ever get Sent pics or video. All the best.
Good on you for making a tough, but best decision for you. Must have been super hard. I hope you feel a sense of relief now that it’s done. I’ve really enjoyed your videos and seeing all the blood, sweat and tears that go into doing a great job of a restoration. Cheers mate, maybe spot you on the water some day 👍
You're killing me I watched all the videos in order! I came back to watch the next one and I see this. I hear you though I've been redoing an old boat outdoors in the blazing heat and sometimes I wonder why not just buy a boat that's ready to go fishing
Gday mate yep know the feeling had to sell my last one to pay for a wedding , i said i would never get another but here i am killing it and just finished a 2 year resto .No where near as big as yours only a 15 footer but it does take a lot of time and effort and money just for example 9200 .00 for a mid range new engine for starters ,one for your boat probably would have cost 3 x as much .But your a young bloke and im sure that you will either get another to resto or buy a good second hand or new boat plenty of time mate you have the skills and determination ,i am 64 and this is definetley my last resto im to old to be climbing into spots where an 18 year old should be going take care .
Thanks Mate, yep thats another thing to do next year, getting married so funds are spread with the priorities at the moment! haha but thanks for watching i have always read your comments, its been great!
After our third bi annual rebuild of our glass boat (inside, trailer and outside over 6 years), we sold our 17 foot pacemaker. We had planned to build a plate boat but yeah, 2 -3 year project…no thanks. we found a 7.2m second hand one that fits the bill. You only live once and debt when you’re young isn’t a bad thing. No point having the biggest bank account in the cemetery when your gravestone said you worked and did nothing else.
Yea it def made me tear up since i was here for the whole build. And watching u and ur pops working together and memories for you guys. Im sure it was a hard decision to make. I just dont know if i could of done that. 😢😢😢. Great content as usual and im sure u will get yourself another one soon.
thanks mate, appreciate it. Somethings you got to do this your gut tells you to do! I had to make this decision based on the current circumstances thanks for watching!!
Did ya missus nag ya? Happened to my granddad. Kidding mate, I know the feeling of boat restoration, it just take so long and if a perfectionist it never ends.
I'm sorry you had to sell the boat after all the efforts you put in this restoration. Anyway, if you were not able to have it completed for the various reasons you mentioned, selling the boat was probably the right move. Boats are damn expensive to maintain, unfortunately 😢
I saw when it popped up on marketplace I didn’t think it would take long to sell. Do you still have the voyager for adventures ? I’d seen it being towed in wangara about 6 months ago I think
Evaluation, decision made, boat sold. Business, personal commitments, choosing to fish rather than two more years of expensive weekend boat repairs. Lifestyle choices. Will miss the rebuild side, dad and uncle's company. To different adventures.
Yep definitely, when I budgeted 2 years ago things were cheaper and easier. Even trying to find a good second hand outboard is near impossible which led me to buying new and threw the budget. Yes I couldn’t have easily finished it but not the way I wanted! Thanks mate
That's what women do to you . Your young you will find another project later on in life good luck it was enjoyable watching and following the build good luck in the future

They sure are expensive, sad but the right decision thanks for watching bigger and better things to come
Hey mate, awesome workmanship. Do you do fibreglass repairs at all?
Hard decision but it looks like it was the right one. The man you sold it too should have the time to get it on the water like you had wanted.
What is the total cost? Of repair and such.
Hello mate any update on the build from the new owner much respect to you
It is what it is mate, unfortunately thats life, and atleast you've made some one else happy to continue on with the build.
That it that was the best part, I hope they get it in the water and enjoy!
Appreciate the support 😊
I just saw you channel on a car in front of me that's why I subscribed 😂
Haha awesome mate thanks for the subscription 😉

Thanks for watching mate, no that was sold 2-3 years ago to fund this build, but I do have a boat to use for the meantime
Let’s go!

Thanks Roland you hit it on the head!
To new adventures
Why the hell did you sell it ??????
A petty mate but you could have known all of this in advance. 😉
But anyway, a hard and sad decission and I hope you enjoy the gained free time. 👍👍
