Brilliant mate absolutely brilliant. The grin on your face said it all. Best of luck with the fishing, I look forward to seeing some vids of that. Strange, I live in the UK, (the proper South Wales) and I listen to a podcast from Oz, The Big Fish with Scott Levis on ABC Radio. You guys have some awesome fishing out there. Tight lines mate and well done. 👍🏻👊🏻
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you very much for the kind words karlos! Yes the fishing is quite amazing here!
I live in the states, I’ve been trying to find a boat that’s the equivalent to the voyager. Y’all did a great job, perfect size boat for a couple people to hit the water

Super job Mate. The boat looks fantastic. I built Donzi boats the the late 80's and how hard and nasty the work was. Especially the fiberglass dust and resin smell. Peace brother.

Deeply impressed with your job, mate. Fantastic! You should be proud. I want to do something similar. If it were up to me, I would ad just a bit of color on the outside, maybe a blue boot-stripe?

Get some led strips for the red n green running lights. Amazon has them for like 18$. Double row for 25$ I like the double row
oh yes, something to keep in mind, i already have some navigation lights, if they go pear shaped i might buy the strips :')
She is a beast man, good job !!

The great white boat is alive!
YEWWW!!
Right on mate
thanks mate!!
very very nice job....love how much detail you have covered over the whole process. Whats your plans for you windscreen? Sorry but it was doing my head in seeing the beautifully restored boat with the dirty windscreen
Thanks Hayden! That I’m undecided about at the moment, not sure to replace, restore and make a wave breaker 😂
I might off head Yamaha of a Mercury and I had the 2013. Yamaha what change were murders to the G2 Best motor of ever owned in my life. I cannot believe the fuel efficiency of this motor. I do more fishing. Then all use f*** Put together with no issues on this G2. I run a night meter boat I get 1.5 per later in New Zealand. What a pretty they stop making these outboard motors.
Very nice well done man, I like the look back 👏 🤙 Are you going to be closing off the cuddy or leaving it open?
Thanks a lot! Yes the cabin will be full enclosed, custom hardtop canopy and marlin boards getting installed very soon :)
Nice boat mate!
Thank you! Thanks for watching :)
Great job 😎👍🏻
Thank you! Cheers!
Boat is looking awesome.ive got a 19 foot voyager.did you want to sell your old dodger..
Haha thanks mate! the old engine already sold :(
What's a ruff price tag you've spent all up mate. I've just done a simler project
Doing a video on this shortly 🙂🙂
Hey man what size prop is on that evinrude ?
Hey Ryan, not too sure mate, check when im home :)
How come you chose a 115 iver a 150?
It had a 90HP on there so i put the 115 on and old then enough for me :) 37 knots with a great hole shot. in the future ill upgrade to 4 stroke 130/150hp depending on weight.
What was your engine's WOT rpm for the 37 Knot speed you maxed out at?
Hey mate 5600 RPM 😀
@@AngryMackAdventures SS or aluminum prop?
I suspect that if you're going to add some more gear (and thus more weight) you may need to get a prop with a lower pitch. The WOT numbers I see online for an etec are 5500-6000 RPM and it has always been my understanding that 2 stroke outboards are happiest when WOT is closer to the high number than the low...and never run them when you can't even get to the lower WOT RPM.
Long ago in my misspent youth I had a 18' Open Fisherman (Wellcraft) with the old Johnson V-4 115hp outboard (Evenrude had the same engine, just a different cowling color scheme). I had a problem with the tilt/trim and took the boat to a Johnson Dealer (not who I bought the boat from, but highly recommended by people I knew) and they quickly found and fixed the issue with the tilt and trim. While they were working on the boat they mentioned that the outboard was mounted too low on the transom (the anti-cavitation plate was about 1 to 2 inches below the bottom of the hull). Then for free they unbolted the engine and mounted it higher. They told me that they had seen a number of boats with the Johnson V-4 140HP (same block as the 115 just "punched out" for max horsepower) engines mounted that way by other dealers and they had blown up because there was too much drag and the engines weren't running in the proper WOT range with the standard aluminum prop that they were delivered with.
@@sewing1243 oh wow okay thanks for that information.
It’s running the aluminium prop, may need to look into stainless lower pitch prop
Yeah my cavitation plate is sitting approx 5mm below bottom of transom which I think is pretty good place to be!
Yeah with the canopy and fishing gear etc I’m thinking another 100kg ish is going to be added to the boat
@@AngryMackAdventures You'd be hard pressed to get any closer than 5mm. 😃
I don't know if you have similar fishing and boating in the inland freshwater's of Australia, but here in the States Bass Fishing is fairly major sport/pastime and a popular addition to many Bass-boats (fiberglass and aluminum) is a jackplate. They give the boater maximum adjust-ability of the engine height (on the fly with the electro-mechanical versions) and moves the engine back away from the back of the boat into less disturbed water. I haven't seen them touted as much for saltwater boats here in the US, but I assume they would provide similar functionality.
