Carlos Santana is currently suffering from sciatica, which is why he performs most of his concerts sitting down. I also assume that he has to take strong painkillers because of this - which is probably why one or two notes go wrong. Get well soon Carlos.

He said towards the end that the reason he was sitting was due to a condition which put him in severe pain. I forgot what it was I was too high to remember
seen santana 4 times last year they were incredible.. cant wait for riverbend mysic center and tinley park.. video looks awesome but lame carlos siiting down so much.. iam there to see carlos jam and get into it not just sit there

Carlos is developing a bad habit of sitting through his lead parts as if at a practice session. Spit out the gum, stand up , and play like you mean it Carlos. Disappointing to see him sitting as an image of Carlos 25 years ago is playing.
