    Thattukada Chicken Fry (തട്ടുകടയിലെ പൊരിച്ച കോഴി) or Kozhi Porichathu is a popular Kerala Street Food where chicken pieces are marinated in spices and fried in coconut oil until perfection. This authentic street food special is easy to prepare and a delight to eat with some Kerala Porotta. This dish reminds me of my hometown and my evening visits to these 'thattukadas'(street food stalls).
    There is nothing better than food prepared right in front of you with joy and surrounded by some heated local debates! The powdered marination mixture along with the toppings adds some bang to the dish further.
    Ingredients:
    Chicken - 2 whole
    Ginger garlic paste - 4 tablespoons
    Kashmiri chilli powder - 3 tablespoons
    Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
    Pepper powder - 1 tablespoon
    Garam masala - 1 1/2 tablespoon
    Coriander powder - 2 tablespoons
    Plain flour - 2 tablespoons
    Corn flour - 1 tablespoon
    Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
    Salt - to taste
    Water - 1/2 cup
    Oil - to fry
    For garnish:
    Curry leaves
    Dry chilli
    Green chilli
    Onion
    Crushed Garlic
