    Thanks for creating this series on the 535. I just purchased one as a secondary (travel) machine to my 770 and plan to watch them all so that I can understand what it can do. I am so impressed with it and very excited to learn more.

      So happy to hear yes the 535 is a great companion to the 770, one it's easier to travel with but also it gives you a machine that is naturally 5.5mm and if you ever encounter working with more delicate fabrics or projects the 5.5mm is usually easier to use with those projects. :) Enjoy

    Oh wow this Bernina 535 is a lovely machine. I have never sewn on one but will be visiting a Store in Mexico that has some. I will try it out and compare the stitches to my machine

    Thank you so much. Just traded my 570 QEE in for the 535 because I wasn’t happy with the 9mm for quilt piecing. Do miss the automatic foot raising/lowering and the bobbin sensor, but the stitch is beautiful and even, especially when going over bumps. Love your videos.

    Thank you for a video on this specific machine. Just picked it up today. I am getting a good over view of this machine. I have seen other videos that were generic five series. Very frustrating because they would show something but it didn’t apply to this machine. I just want to know about my machine

    Thank you so much , Cody. You really make these wonderful machines so much easier to understand and appreciate, and it’s all in how you teach !i have been holding back trying my new machine until i can have some confidence that i won’t be intimidated by how “smart” it is...just got it a few days ago, and i have been really learning a lot from watching your tutorials. I think, i am going to plug her in tomorrow and take off, haha. I just wanted a better understanding of how to navigate the screen and features. Watching and rewatching your videos is a great start. Mastery class is a couple weeks away, and i didn’t want to screw something up in the meantime!! Thanks and please keep them coming. Also the B79 videos are helpful, and after watching you demonstrate the more sophisticated features on the more easily affordable Bernette machine....well....how many can a person use?? Heh heh heh i aim to find out!

    Hi Cody and Pete, I just purchased a Bernina 535 sewing machine, but in order to get started, I just need to learn the very basics - that is, to sew a straight stitch, use the automatic sew as well as to find out if and when I can ignore the automatic sew and use the foot pedal. Do you have a video on the very basics? I have watched your videos, but at the moment I do not need all the fancy work, as it then becomes very complicated. I want to learn the very basics (straight stitching), and then, once I have mastered this, then move on. Kindly let me know. Thanks so much.

    Hi Cody!
    I have a Bernina 535. I am wondering if you are able to tell me what is the best foot to use to sew velvet?
    Thankyou!! 😊

    Your videos are fantastic. I just bought a new Bernina 535. I know it is normal for the machine to make a noise when you first turn on the machine, BUT I also get a noise with the first stitch I make. The actual stitches are fine. Is this normal?

    • @sewingwithcodyandpete8651
      @sewingwithcodyandpete8651  3 года назад

      Yes that is very normal. It will only make that noise with the very first stitch you make after turning it on. Also if you switch from sewing to embroidery and you go back to sewing it will make the nose for that first stitch. 😀

    Great video! I'm considering buying a 535. Is it possible to turn off the beep sound when you press something?

    • @sewingwithcodyandpete8651

      Awesome machine. And yes any machine with the touch screen you can turn off the beeps when you press buttons. 😀😀

    Cody, i just purchased a Bernina B535 and tried using the embroidery patterns. However, the stitches weren't coming out on the fabric and secondly the thread kept breaking and I got a message showing the wheels behind the bobbin. I cleared the threads but the needle broke after clearing. I installed a new needle but this time it would not go through the bobbin plate without hitting the bobbin casing. I finally turned of the machine! What do you think might be the problem? Thanks.

      After carefully studying the manual for couple of hours, I was able to remove the stitch plate, bobbin case and hook and took care of the problem. Thanks any way!🙂

    Can you help me understand the knob on the left side of the machine? Mine came off of CL and had no manual or extra parts. I've been using it as it came but can't figure out if the knob is on default for anything.
