      I am currently working on a video but I do think the main differences are the lid design and if you have a lid preference I would probably choose the one you like best...quite honestly...at this time...that is the only thing that really matters...hope to have better more detailed description in my video very soon...it looks like Sunday...hopefully...thanks for watching!

      My biggest excitement when I saw the Instantpot Duo Crisp was the fact that when you look around for purchases, the Ninja Foodie seems to have a lot of "refurbished" units out there. That tells me the build quality is not there. I have had the 8qt Instantpot for over 2 years now and all my kids of gotten one from me as a gift. If the quality holds through on the crisp I'll be happy. So far I have just made some breaded shrimp with the crisp air fryer function and they came out just fine. I look forward to putting it through it's paces. Size is a factor for storage but I keep it shelved in the laundry room so I'm OK with it.

      @JohnSanders  4 года назад +1

      @@jamescostello6529 I have not seen any refurbished Ninja products or instant pot and I've never had problems with any of mine but the storage is a big part of a lot of people's decision...thanks for watching!

    You're being so coy about comparing the two units, what a tease!! haha. Last year I pressure cooked a brined turkey in the Ninja Foodi, then followed up by dropping the crisper lid - came out super!! I did part ways with the Foodi - it was a beast on my kitchen island - can't be hauling that baby around. So yep, considering the IP Duo Crisp - but waiting on your final verdict - I kinda agree, tho - the big difference would be that removable lid. As far as people here reporting issues with the Duo Crisp lid - the Food (when it first came out) - was notorious for having huge fan issues in great numbers - me being one of them. Of course Ninja sent another unit out to me. Point being - sometimes there are kinks to be worked out on first runs of new product releases. You're the best, John - another great episode. I really appreciate all the hard work, preparation, and ingredients you purchase out of your own pocket you put into producing these episodes on your epic channel!

    Ok John, I need your honest opinion.
    I bought an IP Duo Crisp and my Crisper lid broke after a few uses. I know I can get a replacement lid from IP but I'm now considering buying a Ninja Foodi Deluxe instead. I like the stacking rack and it's been out on the market for months now and ppl rave about it.
    How do you feel about the 2? Do you prefer one to the other? Can one fit more food compared to the other?
    Thanks for any input you could give me.

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  4 года назад

      I am currently working on an in depth review or something similar...I do need questions that anyone wants answered so this is good but I don't really have a preference at this time they seem very similar in function other than the lid...which I have not had any problems with...what part of yours broke?

    • @homeschoolingalong210
      @homeschoolingalong210 4 года назад

      Just the Crisper lid but basically I can't air fry or do any of the functions I bought it for. I also wasn't too impressed of the amount of food I could fit in the Duo Crisp to air fry. It seems from your videos that by using the double stack rack of the ninja foodie deluxe I'd be able to air fry double the amount compared to the Duo-Crisp. Would you agree?
      I guess my only reservation is the inner pot. I like the stainless steel inner pot of the IP vs the coated one of the Foodi.... wondering if an inner pot should hold me back...very conflicted. I also like how the Ninja Foodi crisper lid stays attached compared to the duo Crisp that doesn't. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  4 года назад

      Yes...you can use the double rack and air fry more but you can also put the rack in the Instant Pot air fryer basket and a layer in the bottom of the air fry basket and kinda do the same thing...but not quite as much and I haven't given that a lot of thought...I honestly think the lid design is the main difference so if you are good with either lid design and double layer is important then the Foodi might be better for you because the Foodi is a good machine...my lid has not given any trouble but would like to hear from any other subscribers that have had similar issues...hope this helps and thanks for watching!
