Air is no longer the lightest, Mini is ignored but still the best smallest tablet in the market, Pro is overkill so much power in a M4 chip but shackled by IpadOS
9th gen is killed off? 10th gen best bang for the buck, storage upgrade is plain highway robbery, the best display is paywalled for the highest tier most expensive

I think it’s the use case. I also think as Iphones as strictly mobile computing where people associate Ipads with Laptops. Like, most people aren’t editing docs on their phone. They do on Ipads. I think people are perfectly fine associating “Pro” on Iphone with camera and screen. People want more from their Ipads. I think that’s why so many more people try to replace their laptops with Ipads over anything else.

If you consider the cost of an OLED drawing monitor, the iPad Pro is cheap. The Wacom Movink has a worse display and is 750 dollars without any compute functionality.

Happy with my iPad 9, looking for deals on the M1 pro, mainly because the speaker on the 9 is anemic, but more importantly the RAM is just not big enough to handle multiple applications. the need to reload and start over is just too frequent, for example when writing a document in Word, then researching something in Safari, then switching back finding you have to open the document again and navigate back to where you were.

I just got a refurb M1 Pro 12.9 from a big box retailer. I ordered a 128 gb and I received a 512 gb version. I’m not mad. It was a decent deal even if I got the proper storage.
My wife uses procreate. The iPad Pro isn’t limited by the layers compared to other iPads which is why she is wanting to get one for the art she does
My ipad pro 2018 is still working well. I bought my sister a M1 ipad pro just before the M2 came out and got it new for about 600USD. Even with the storage bump, that base M4 ipad for 1k is just unjustifiable.
The only performance difference I've noticed between the new one and my M1 is in the AAA games they released like Resident Evil 4, Village. On the M1 I was getting less than 30 FPS and on the M4 I get between 50 and 60😅
And mine is the 1 terabyte model😮
It might have just been U.S. Market, but the M1 iPad Air 5th gen was on discount for $399 USD leading up to the Apple iPad event. That's only $50 USD more than this iPad 10th gen...

For artists, i also have an iPad Air 2022, it runs photoshop mobile Okay.. but not great. That might be an adobe problem, but either way, to maximize the use of any iPad, digital art and music is really the ideal use case. And so it does digital art functions fairly okay, but not $1000 worth.
I would say that for people that want something a little better than this, the iPad Air is also amazing!

I would argue the refurbished Air 4 is better value or the Air 5 which is being discounted to $399.99 right now.
not only is the iPad lineup expensive, keep in my the in-or-out of warranty cost, especially the glass. For the iPad Pro, you can expect to pay around $500+ to repair the glass, screen, or cameras.
Yeah, I have a hard time spending that much on a “complimentary device.” That’s my main problem with the Pro line in particular. For the price it should do everything my laptop does. Not how it does it but what it does. It doesn’t even have the same Pages as the laptop. I personally prefer running Mac Pro+Ipad. I have defined lines of what I use each for. Since Apple refuses to seriously incest in Ipad OS Im not going to reward them by buying both Pros.
I love when tech reviewers discuss “need.” True, no one “needs” an iPad Pro with an OLED screen and M4 to watch RUclips videos, but then again, no one “needs” an iPad period. And if “value” was really the overriding consideration for consumer purchases, the economies for most first world countries, and by extension the world, would be royally screwed.

I went with the iPad Air M2, while I would of loved the immense power of the M4, I couldn't find a way to justify the cost, the nonreflective screen at a $100, the overpriced keyboard and pen, adding an extra 4-$500, the only colors to choose from and no sticker, they could of easily made them out of recycled plastic, for the price of a nice gaming laptop, so this year I will give the iPad Air a go, go online and but a nonreflective screen for under $10, and a keyboard, if needed for less than $60, like everyone else, we are all budgeting, if they come out with an iPad that is so revamped that's worth the sticker shock then maybe

Idk why it's bothering me so much but between Austin's video and now this video, y'all keep talking about how thin the ipad pro is but you guys DON'T have the one thats actually thinner lol. Only the 13" model has the reduced thinness
The 11" also got thinner, from 5.9mm to 5.3mm.

if you want her to be able to use all the same cables as everyone else, get a 15, if she'd appreciate a bigger screen get the 15 plus, they come in fun colours too.
if you don't think she'll care, even a refurb /discounted 13 series is going to be fantastic performance and camera etc.
The pro line is overkill for most people.
ask her why she wants an iphone - what about it specifically does she like?
if she says things like the camera etc, tell her about the google pixel
if she says things about the software then any base model iPhone is generally more than good enough. Personally I really like the 13 mini though.

The only way I'm spending a grand on an iPad is if they give me the ability to install desktop apps. Otherwise, No thanks, the 10th gen will do.

If they want to call the iPad Pro a “professional” tablet. Apple needs to remake iPadOS or give us MacOS. I’m using the M1 iPad Pro and there is no way I’m using this tablet to its full capability.
The iPad Pro is targeting the usual Wacom customer. If you compare it to Wacom product IPad Pro prices are a bargain.

I don't understand why youtubers not review samsung tablets. Sure it may not have as much power as the ipads, but still for 90% of people who don't do editing or heavy work, samsung tablets are really a good bank for the money, especially the S9 series with the sanpdragon varient.

It’s down to offer and demand. A small amount of people care about android tablets therefore videos will only produce low traction. I understand your frustration, the problem is as long as the design and OS does not rival the Apple ecosystem it will always be difficult for them.
There are also not very many tablet optimized apps on it, and I own an S9 Ultra tablet. I probably wouldn’t have bought it, but I traded in an S7+ tablet to get it. With the incredibly bright OLED display on the iPad Pro, that iPad destroys the Samsung. If Android actually had any decent tablet apps, I think it would get more attention.
Samsung Tablets are better for content consumption since they use 16 by 10 OLED displays. But not as good at productivity since they run Android and use phone chips.
@@itsmoses7973 new ipad is double stacked oled, it is literrally the best display in the industry. so for content consumption, seems like they just grabbed the crown back. but indeed right before it's release, the oled android were definitely superior, no doubt about it.

Its just a very different device imo, I love my galaxy tab but it's not equal to my ipad on everything I need a tablet for. Same the other direction, the galaxy tab is a better office device imo.
