- I stopped and knocked on this door when I saw the Overgrown yard way above the fence. A lady answered the door and explained her 90 year old Dad lived there and is hasn’t been mowed in years. I started working in the back yard when I quickly realized that there was a sidewalk buried under a ton of grass and dirt. Just as I was getting finished up with this portion of the yard, I quickly found a 2nd sidewalk buried under all the grass. I spent over 8 hours on this property helping the 90 year old man. They thought I was crazy until they came out stunned I had uncovered two hidden sidewalks that were buried under the Overgrown Grass.

Erik, you need a metal plate on your trimmer for small bits and not having to cut bending down. Its so much quicker for you guys !
Great job. You should try a bristle brush attachment when clearing overgrown sidewalks, curbs and driveways. Saves your back. That new hairstyle on your son looks great.

@@DBLG65 - The comments and critiques weren’t about the work done, but rather on further work they felt he should be doing for free, like removing the brush and painting the house. I don’t know of any lawn and landscape YTubers who also paint houses. Next they’ll want him to install a swimming pool in the backyard.
@@OutdoorswithErik You made the comment using your weed wacker when your mower broke that some would criticize you for using your weed wacker to mow grass. There is a difference in viewers suggesting methodology changes vs just plain criticism. That is the point I was trying to make. 😄😀

I love it when you uncover the hidden sidewalks and then the homeowner says they never knew they existed. It makes for a little extra dramatic reveals at the end. It was also great to see father and son working side by side. That was a surprisingly large yard, and it seemed to keep on giving up surprises. One question, you guys took the effort to move all the stuff away to exposed the sidewalk. Then without clearing up the leaves turned around and piled it all back. I would love to see you go back to mulch up all that brush pile. I was surprised and wondered why you didn’t clean those leaves as well. Sorry to be critical of your efforts. You, your son and friend are always hard workers and helping those in need, please keep doing what you do.

I like that extra handle on the shovel...that might help me since I'm kinda tall and getting old in my 50s now. Ya'll did a great job on that yard and now he has a pathway where he can safely walk outside with his walker rollator.

Wow!! That's a huge back yard!! And for those hidden sidewalks to be covered with so much soil makes me believe that it's been a lot longer than a year. You and your team did a fantastic job!! Hopefully they are grateful you took your time and resources to get it done. That's an expensive job you just did. Hopefully they will continue to maintain it and get rid of all the brush.

Our mower gave us issues at the end of last summer, and that's exactly how the kids and I cut the grass with the weed wacker. Sometimes, you have to improvise in life to get the job done. The yard looked great. You guys were all amazing.

Eric I’m disable and I having work a full time Joe since I hurt my back on the job I like watching your RUclips channel and the way you help people out there a couple small front lawns I cut on my street just to stay busy only problem is I can’t let theses lawn get High because I can’t bend over to pick anything up and when the leaves fall I try to grind them up or I just blow them in the street and let the street cleaner pick them up great job keep the good work up
