When I was watching friends try out Rabbit & Steel, I thought the music sounded really familiar like in One Step From Eden. What a wonderful surprise to find out you also worked on this!
Just picked up this game along with some friends last night, absolutely loving this game. The soundtrack is SO GOOD. I especially love the music in the Emerald Lakeside zone.
A streamer I enjoy watching actually recently played this game with friends. A few minutes in and the music already had me hooked. Although Touhou style boss fights isn't really my thing, this game does seem a lot of fun to try some day
I have been listening to this (and Maiden & Spell soundtrack) for almost a month by now, and I know I will listen it again and again through the years, truly masterpieces. Thank you, truly, for filling my heart with inspiration and extra life! ♥
You're one of my favorite composers, this hits so strong. And your style is so unique, I can't really point my finger with what I could compare this. Great work, keep it going. I hope you are making at least one track for Alabasta Dawn or something else in the future!
Played this game a lot now and all this music is so good. Nostalgic in all the right ways (even though it's obviously your own compositions.) It just feels like 90's-2000's Japanese RPG music, with a modern twist and stylings. One of the first times I felt this in the past decade was with One Step From Eden, which I know you also did the soundtrack to. I actually didn't realize you did the OST to CrossCode, but thinking back on it, I should have. I will say, you're one of the only modern composers that I've been able to accidentally realize you created two unrelated video game soundtracks based on your nostalgic, but unique, style alone. Great work. Oh. And "A Valiant Battle" gives me goosebumps every time. I think it's the saxophone honestly. Unknown. Please tell me why.
@@aur.consurgens yeye, i know. thanks for making sure i knew though, i figured that the original comment was thinking about the select pieces that were made by steel+, rather than the deniz tracks, which is why i didn't mention that steel+ only did some of the dlc ones
oh i knew Rabbit & Steel's OST had a familiar feel to it! i've played a lot of One Step From Eden and while quite obviously quite different, their soundscapes and vibes feel quite similar, so I should've guessed that their respective OSTs are composed by the same person. great work on the R&S soundtrack!!
I had something similar to people in the comments happen to me, I thought the style was reminiscent of One Step From Eden. I even went as far as to say "this has the same style as some songs in CrossCode", I wasn't crazy! It was Hagane-sensei all along!
Amazing work! Simply stunning ost, just as OSFE. But I gotta say something: Churchmouse Streets OST has some Final Fantasy XII feelings to it. Is that on purpose?
All the songs are bangers, I hope the ost goes on spotify.
Already is
I love it when I find osts from games I've never heard of and they turn out to be absolute bangers
Same here friend. Same here (got any reccomendations you've come across?).
@mrhbombman Cobalt Core has some pretty good songs
BANGER AFTER BANGER, BACK TO BACK TO BACK
LETS FUCKING GOOO

They did? god no wonder the soundtrack is peak.

I didnt realize it was steel plus that did this. Awesome.
I played for the first time and was like "wait, this all sounds very familiar. Very OSFE-esque, in a great way."
Now I know why lmao
I don't know if there's a coincidence but MAN this soundtrack gives me the same vibe as One step from Eden, and I love them both so much!
same composer as osfe, they also worked on crosscode's music too
Wow high-quality OST! This really makes me want to play the game
I just picked the game up yesterday, and just...amazing music throughout. Absolutely love it!

Definitely purchasing this soundtrack. Thank you Steel
Absolutely beautiful, I loved hearing all of these tracks in-game

Ty for uploading all of the ost!!
For some reason, this soundtrack is giving me major Cross-Code vibes. Considering how much I enjoyed that game's OST, that's a very good thing.
Literal same composer my guy
CROSSCODE MENTIONED
same Composer as One Step from Eden. Cross code is mainly Deniz Akbulut but steel did a few songs for the DLC I think
@@Rhainiac Actually, most of CrossCode's soundtrack was composed by Deniz Akbulut. Steel_Plus only did some of the extra tracks for the DLC.
@@aur.consurgens yeye, i know. thanks for making sure i knew though, i figured that the original comment was thinking about the select pieces that were made by steel+, rather than the deniz tracks, which is why i didn't mention that steel+ only did some of the dlc ones
such a lovely soundtrack, i'm in love
Absolutely stellar sound track!!! This vibe is so insanely fantastic!!!!!
STEEL_PLUS is at it again! Banger after banger. Love the OSFE vibes!!
Indie devs once again putting out amazing stuff
I love this soundtrack... I aspire to reach this level of quality someday...
Oh boy, making an arrangement out of any of these is gonna be tough, but definitely a great learning experience. Good stuff.
came to this after playing through the nikke mirror world minigame. I really love this style of music, its melancholic yet beautiful

I love this ost. It sounds very Hitoshi Sakimoto-inspired.
Red Darkhouse "Calm"
Wonderful music for a wonderful game! Thank you for composing!
sooooo underrated omg
First song reminds me HEAVILY of the ffx-2 theme song... so good :)
STEEL IS BACK AT IT AGAIN! IT'S SO PEEEEEAAAKKK!
i love this a lot c:
9. Dark Red Horse calm is my most favorite, it feels so epic if I have that as the last area, man the chills!!!
I love how dramatic the intro song is haha
masterpiece
thanks for the meal, king...
I knew this sounded familiar, you worked on One Step From Eden, too. Really a great soundtrack, wish this game worked on Mac.
the touhou vibe is impeccable
Art style very FFT Advance-ish and I like that
I can still hear the Emerald Lakeside theme in my nightmares...
I don't have friends to play this with, but random ques are fun anyway.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I was absolutely jamming all the way through that I ended up wiping my wholr party, peak rabbit and steel
nice

God

Let's get it!
HEAVYBLADE FOR DUELISTS OF EDEN
Some of this is reminding me quite favorably of CrossCode.
And I’m pretty sure Churchmouse Street is in Ivalice, sonically speaking.
Red Darkhouse sounds so much like Naoshi Mizuta's Final Fantasy XI music...
cant wait to play the full game! side thing but i cant listen to the one step from eden ost on apple music in the US anymore, is there a reason why?
We're not making it out of Red Darkhouse with this one!!!! 💀💀💀💀
I was thinking this sounded so much like One Step From Eden...turns out it's the same person haha.
ost is good but game is fk hardcore
