I just started flying in MSFS less than a year ago but have become obsessed. I'm fascinated with flying now. Even started to think, maybe I'd like to be a real pilot someday. I really appreciate your channel and the knowledge you share. Thanks!

Another similar challenge, especially with a crosswind, is TJCP, Culebra. I've been a passenger, IRL, flying in there.

Absolutely awesome! I've been practicing in this in the Islander and have (mostly) been nailing it, but now I've got a rock solid approach to get to perfection. Thanks for yet another great video. Yes I would love to see a video on the 28 approach.

That first landing, I had tweaked my control settings and that was my first landing. Didn’t have enough elevator travel with the extremity deadzone I had set. 😬

I picked a departure and arrival at random in the Himalayas. The departure runway turned out to resemble a ski jump! You drop down off the side of a mountain from a 45 degree slope. I’d never seen anything like it and it was a lot of fun with the Cirrus Vision jet.

  • @PeterMatthess

Really enjoyed this video! Will have to get this scenery and try this out tomorrow, your right in saying the default st Bart’s approach has the hill terrain way too high, because your scenery there looks much easier with a lower hill. I have the islander as I got it waaay back when it first came out for MSFS but not flown it in a long time, will have to blow off the cobwebs and probably re-download it if it’s been updated since and have a go! Keep up the vids, quality, not quantity

    • @IslandSimPilot

You won’t regret buying the scenery, Peter, it’s fantastic. And the Islander is the perfect plane for the job. Let me know how it goes when you do it, and thank you for the kind words and support!

Is the custom scenery for St. Barth worth it for just the occasional flying?

Hard for me to say, but for me it’s a no doubter. I absolutely love it, they did literally the entire island and the stock version is completely inaccurate. I love it.

Hey I'm running RTX3060 with a 6GB VRAM but seems like framegen has more losses for me than benefits. The VRAM seems to get saturated too soon on DX12 and not to mention the windscreen glitch for takeoff.
Can you please make guide for DX11 setups on laptops?
