Very helpful, it even works on fonts, i use it to make drilling layouts for LED signs.
weight 33, dash 1, gap 100 makes holes about 12mm exact what i need for the leds.

1. Select all the dots
2. Open the "Align" window
3. If you would like to align them horizontally select "Vertical Align Center" and then "Horizontal Distribute Center"
4. If you would like to align them vertically select "Horizontal Align Center" and then "Vertical Distribute Center"

how do you make the dotted lines with no fill? I just need the circles outlined.

1. Create a dotted line as shown in the tutorial (make sure the dash is set to zero)
2. Select your line
3. Go to Object > Expand Appearance
4. Go to Object > Expand
5. Swap the fill and the stroke (Shift + X)
