UPDATE 10 AUGUST... OK so I didn't change my mind and all 5 guitars have now been sold! 😥 keep an eye on my Reverb shop to see what I list next... EARLIER COMMENT.... OK so I'm already having second thoughts following the first raft of lovely comments trying to talk me out of selling one of them in particular so I reserve the right to change my mind! 🤣✌
I've got the Epi Standard 50s Goldtop last week. Incredible sound and feel ! I recommend it to everybody in search for a true classic Les Paul sound. Is amazing! And I'm glad you still keep it and play it. Very good and honest reviews on this channel. Big like! Keep on the good work! :D
@@benallmark9671 I'm really glad ! Such sustain and clarity in the tone... A huge quality guitar for a quarter price of a standard Gibson. I discovered that the chunky fat neck of this Epi Standard 50s is actually more comfortable than those modern C shaped slim necks of Fender Strats. I recommend the Epiphone Les Paul Standard 50s to anyone in search for an amazing sounding and playing Les Paul. Let's not forget that this is the little brother of Gibson Les Paul. You can't go wrong with this guitar for sure.
Sir, such an awesome quote “ .. somebody’s Holy Grail but I don’t know if it’s my Holy Grail..” wiser words have never been spoken in regards to Guitar’s, Amps, pedals or anything for that matter . Great playing and tough choices . Loved all of it.
Tough call on those final two . . . but you got there. I think I would have done the same. All I can say is what about that 1954 Custom Shop? Absolutely gorgeous - I had no idea Gibson had re-released the mid 50's P90's models. Just a beautiful piece of work, and I'll bet it's lovely to take on stage. Wow.
Really 23.2k is just not enough subscribers. I’ve only recently started watching. These videos keep me entertained when I’m at work. To be fair my job is as exciting as watching paint dry, so it’s not hard to out do entertainment wise. These are still fantastic videos
I like the format of just displaying a lot of Les Pauls in a short time! Especially with the important introduction "the difference in tone is negligible".
Great video, Colin! I’m happy to see I’m not the only one who struggles to let go of a nice guitar. But I think that for most of us “budget minded” guitar players, we know that we’re only “renting” our guitars. That’s the way I feel, at least; I’ve got a couple that I’ll hold on to no matter what, but the rest of my collection is usually only one “I’ve got to have that new guitar” itch away from moving on to someone else! CHEERS!
Once found myself faced with the same decision. Ended up selling my Epiphones and kept my Gibsons, nothing wrong with the Epiphones but I just plain couldn't part with my Gibsons.
I agree fella i kept my higher end guitars too but went through the affordable route as well , great guitars but the higher end do sound much better , still have a Squire thinline though 😊
When it comes to gear, I always try to do more with less. I find it pushes me to be more creative and causes less distraction. Good luck with the sale!
Oh my! It’s Friday, I’ve popped a cold Northern Monk ale from the fridge and I’ve settled in to watch one of my favourite guitar shows. I’ve expensive tastes Colin, as you know, and so no surprises I went a bit weak at the knees when you pulled out the R8 and that R4. That R4 in particular….. wow, is there anything cooler than an R4! Well I’m not looking to expand my collection. But if I WAS, then I’d be throwing offers at you for that R4, even though it’s not for sale 🤣. Good luck with the sales Colin, I’m sure the buyers will enjoy the fact that it was once owned by Colin from The Guitaristas!
Cheers Paul happy Friday mate! Yes that R4 is a real treat and it makes me feel a lot more comfortable getting rid of the R8 knowing that I still have that....it's not been in it's case for 3 years but somehow still has a wonderful 'eau de Gibson' so if I'm having a 'bad guitar day' (i.e can't play for shit) I just sniff it and it always brightens up my day! 😁 👍 Have a great weekend.
You’re a lucky man to be able to choose from so many. I would love to own an R4, my absolute favourite Les Paul, wish Epiphone would do a version of it… looking forward to seeing your review on it and to see what you get with the proceeds from your sales! Compelling viewing as always!
The difficulty you encountered comes through in the video. It was fun to watch, but I can't convince myself that it was fun to make. I'd have a hard time saying goodbye to my guitars. Also, I've always liked the Mick Ronson tribute, that video was one that I revisit sometimes. I'd totally grab that one if I wasn't across the ocean from you.
Buy a copy of a Black Beauty, from someone like Tokai, Burny or even Epiphone and strip the top! You’d end up with a much more authentic looking replica as the Vintage models are not direct copies with quite a few differences!
What I would do if I was in your place, I would keep the R4 and the R8 and sell the rest. You’d still have the versatility and the choice of two kind of pickups. You’d still have a goldtop and a gorgeous flame top with an attractive burst finish.
Great video. I'm new to guitar so I'm amazed by the size of your collection. I play on a ratty old acoustic. Maybe if I get good enough I'll own something like the ones you chose to keep one day.
Ha. I knew you wouldn't part with the Epiphone gold top. Lol. I knew it. Every time you play it there's a look on your face. Lol priceless. It's really cool when a guitar gives back to you. I know the feeling. Great show as usual. Cheers.
I would have kept the Lazarus but definitely keep the Epiphone 59. It has the Gibson hardware but is more practical - you saw that when you dropped the Gibson Standard !
I have 10 Les Pauls and Les Paul shaped guitars too. I am not ready to let any of them go, though 🙂. Great video! It was a fun time to watch. Selling a guitar is never an easy thing.
Wow! Another excellent video. Your struggle to decide was felt the entire time-I don’t envy you having to make those decisions. I guess that’s the plight of a Guitarists… Cheers from Arizona
@@theguitaristas I’m honestly concerned about the factory in Qingado. I’m suspicious of the output and availability. Maybe a lot rarer than a Gibson down the line to obtain.
@@theguitaristas After I finished playing mine last night I sat there looking at it wondering why in the fuck anybody would want to pay for a Gibson...lol
Let go of all except the CS ones. The value of those will probably increase compared to the cheaper ones. No matter if you think they are the better guitars, there’s a strong market for Les Paul Reissues.
Methinks you can easily get 3.75k for the R8. But don't! There's only one way those prices go and it isn't down... Sell all the medium/ low end ones to thin the herd and keep the gems. Also you like SGs. Check this out. It's 1987. I'm 19.I sell my 1978 walnut SG standard that I'd had since I was 14 and had played for hours every day and really formed myself as a player on...to buy a Charvel pointy headstock job. 'Brown' Gibsons were NOT cool hahaha. My dad had bought it for me used in 1982 for 190 quid. Tried to track it down years later. No joy. Biggest regret of my guitar owning history. Rock on and Thanks for the great content 🤘
Just bought my first SG... The Epiphone Less Paul 61 and am returning my Epiphone Less Paul limited edition 1959... The SG is way more comfortable and encourages playing wheras the 59 is a hunk of lead I'd rarely play... Thanks for your awesome SG reviews... I'd never have switched otherwise...
I had a 1991 Les Paul, cherry burst, zebra pickups, played like butter. It was taken and sold and I have never been able to find it or replace it. I think about that guitar regularly.
R8 is not one to sell.....wow, shipping is crazy !!!!! Is there still Cities to deal with? It hurts doesn't it? Reminds me of when my practice room had to be cleared out (and things sold) so we could have kids.....would like to go back and revisit that.
19:13 on Friday and there's three there (I didn't look until the end) so at least one has gone, perhaps two?. Good luck with the sale, Col. I'd be interested, but they're not SG's.
Yes there's only 3 left now! 😲 and some offers pending so this is amazing and it doesn't even look like I have time to change my mind! 🤣 Cheers Peter.... PS. none of the SG's are now or will ever be for sale! 🤣🤣
Well, Colin, that was interesting and insightful and your playing, as always is inspiring. Your review on the Lazarus sold me on one, buffed out the top till it gleamed and I'll never sell it. I liked the Tribute, alas, you sold both previous to this. Good luck in what comes to replace them...I'll be tuned in.
Mate, if one of your previous videos hadn't persuaded me to fork out on a Gibson LP Tribute a couple of months ago (which I'm LOVING btw), I'd be sorely tempted to take one of those off your hands! Best of luck selling them - as others have said I'd keep the R8, it's gorgeous.
I love your focus of these as works of art. To me guitars are like individuals, and individually unique; even though resembling others, they each have their own combination of weight, wood and character. Letting any go is often difficult. But it's also easy to get a stable TOO full and as you said, perhaps it's time for others to enjoy a few.
Another great video mate. Glad you are keeping the Tokai the R4 and the Epiphone custom. And...Maybe the R8.... Always entertaining....looking forward to seeing what you are going to be up to next week... Cheers Wes
Not surprised you’re selling the Epi 59 Limited Edition. I remember you just didn’t vibe with the finish in your review video. I do hope you end up getting another soon in a finish you like, I got mine because of your review and I absolutely adore it. Seeing how much you enjoy that Epi 50s, I’d bet you’d feel the same about an Epi 59 in a finish you enjoy. Good luck with all the sales!
Oh that looked tough. 😖 The only one I was certain you’d keep was the Epi’ 50’s Gold top having belatedly watched your 5 Les Paul’s video. Further to my comment on that I’ve got my ‘56 up for sale, as I don’t think I’ll ever part with my 50’s. 👍
ha! I did go through to the end, then went to the reverb site .. I agree with your choice, although at the end, I like the "looks" of the one you kept, since they are effectively the same otherwise ... I have yet to have that problem!
Great choices. Love that you shared your thoughts behind each decision. I had them all correct except for switching up the lemon drop and the white epiphone custom.
Aloha and Mahalo Colin! I haven't finished video yet but I would keep the CS '54 & '58. They would be hard to replace and if money an issue. Well be back.
Great show Colin ,😢 i hear the sadness in your voice mate , but you have to do what you have to do . I have been buying and “Selling” again , because mere mortals like us have to , one in one out kinda thing. Power to you and the show mate 🤛 Cheers 70s John 😉
Bravo Collin on keeping the Epiphone Custom Alpnine White and the goldtop 50's ! I own them both and the 59'. I love them all .I also own an Epi SG prophecy custom tiger red with dirty finger pickups and a worn classic sg in Inverness green 9(inspired by gibson)and my second ever guitar ,an 03 epi sg special.I would of kept the standard over the R8 as well. Love the video as I do all your videos! Looking forward to next Friday's video !
Man, this was an emotional video. I don't know if I could have decided to sell any of them. I too thought I only needed one les paul, until I had two...
Just bought a epi custom. Your reviews were one of those that helped me make the decision. I don't have Gibson money and epi will do the trick. Happy to see you kept the custom... Just for validation of my decision. I pick it up in 4 days. Can't wait!
@@theguitaristas I hope the Gibson's went to good homes and you still get the Gibson itch scratched in another part of your collection. Your videos are awesome! A joy to watch. Just the right pace, wit, music, talent, and relatable stories. Been a pleasure to watch!
Thx God i'm viewing this late, since i might have purchased one. Holiday is a good thing for guitar addicts. Great vid mate. I like all epi's BTW, they seem to be the next good deal. I still love my Goldtop Tokai, it is a killer guitar that tick all the boxes.
So glad you kept the Epiphone 50`s GOLD TOP its my go to amazing sounding guitar , bought it on your recommendation , just bought a Pelham Blue Epiphone SG special, wonder who influenced me on that purchase, oh it was you!! don t doubt yourself Col , as I`ve said before you are the Clarkson of guitars, love it or hate it your usually spot on , cheers Col keep them comming
Another great video.I liked how you admited that you are actually not that much of an LP player and you can buy a bunch of sgs for the price of one of those ,so i think selling that r8 will actually bring a lot of amazing stuff for you to play and hopefully enjoy more than the r8 and for us viewers to enjoy watching you play it! Good luck with the sale and thank you for this lovely film🍻
Hi Colin hope you have great success selling off gear your not using. Your playing on this had the true sound of “while my guitar gently weeps”. Just think what instruments you will be playing soon:-)
I feel 'ya man. Getting rid of guitars is always a lot harder than getting hold of 'em lol. Personally, if you're on the fence about a guitar, that always makes the decision a bit easier. I too have a similar issue of needing to get rid of one before my darling better half will allow me to get another & I've got a Midtown Custom that I've never quite gelled with so I've decided I need a flying V more & it's gotta go. I'd definitely keep the R8 & the R4 if I were you. Custom shop guitars just have a certain magic, albeit a very costly one but I also thought that LP Studio sounded fantastic so...? Tough choice my friend, tough choice.
Really interesting video mate. Against the flow but I would also have sold the R8. The Standard is just that....THE Standard and everything else LP is based on that. The R4 though mate is the absolute pinnacle in my view of Gibson LP ownership. That would stay with me to my grave. Oh, and what a fabulous choice of Amp to play them through. Gibson Les Paul and Marshall Bluesbreaker one of the great combos. Good luck with the sales mate.
Aloha Colin. I'm sorry you got rid of your R8. When I was 58 years old my wife wouldn't let me purchase a R8. Now I have a Joe Bonamas 1958 Les Paul Custom, Joe B 1958 Amos Flying V, epi 1958 Korina Explorer& Modrene, Fender CS Strat & Tele and LE 1958 Jazzmaster prototype.
Glad you're keeping the R4, P-90s make the best Les Paul. I'd keep the R8 and the Standard 50s as well. The three give you a great sampling of what makes a Les Paul iconic, Plus you can always sell them (much) later, when you're broke and desperate.
You have a p90 Goldtop R4 and The Black Studio.. With an ebony board.. Keep those sell all the others. The R8 had a distinct chime during the play through. Maybe keep three
The pickups on the R8 are quite lively. I like the sound. I'll be eventually replacing my Gibsons with Epiphone alternatives. I have the Epi Firebird to replace the Gibson. I also have the Epi Moderne to replace its Gibson counterpart. I will keep the '82 30th Anniversary Goldtop that I bought back in '83. I got lucky when I bought that. I had no idea what it was, I just knew that I liked it and had to have it. I even took out a bank loan to acquire it. That one will be handed down to my kids to sell after I'm gone one day. Now I'm off to your Reverb page to see what you decided to sell. Edit: I see that they're all gone. I kind of expected that. Now I'll never know, lol.
I think the R8 on the chopping block makes sense if you’re not playing it. It’s a lot of money tied up to not use. Not that I’m trying to spend your money, but since you’re more of an SG guy Colin give a 64RI a try if you want to spend the many pennies from the R8 in one place. I’m too far away to offer to let you give mine a test drive unfortunately!
Don’t get rid of the custom shops or even the USA Gibsons. The way Gibson increased prices recently the retail prices will just keep going up and up. Ten years from now you might wish you had kept the R8 when Gibson are selling them for three times todays prices. The retail price of a Gibson Les Paul Standard went up by about 10% in July. The custom shop reissues seem to have gone up by as much as 15%. PS since you love SGs, can we get a review at some time of the new Epiphone power player SG. I’d like to buy one for a grandchild but not sure.
the R8 looks fantastic and when I see it, I loose the mind to get any other guitar. I got a nice Epiphone Les Paul Budokan Ace Frehley signature. I like so much the 1959 limited edition you got, and seems you preferred the epi 50s gold top. Cheers....
Hello Colin. Discovered and subscribed recently.I’ve been enjoying your videos and agree with you for your love of the latest Epiphone line up. I have the Gold top 50 ‘s and the TVYellow Special . Great guitars . Left the Gold Top alone so far but have made upgrades on many others with pickups and looms from Monty’s . Hope you keep the R8 ! All the best , Ronno
Some tough choices, but I think you made the right decision, especially in keeping the 50's Standard. I have one in gold top and it is the guitar I wanted for a very long time and finally bought one this year. It sounds and plays fantastic and the neck is amazing. You kept one CS, the R4 with P90s which pickups I know you really like, so it gives you that sound and scratches the need for a CS. You also aparently really like the Epihone gold top as well, so that was no surprise and the modified Tokai is also a logical decision based on how well it sounds. I personally am not a LP Custom fan, but you seem to like it, so also a logical decicion. Congrats on letting go of some Les Pauls, they do deserve a new loving home.
Great video, thank you. Certainly a place I have been recently. I finally realized I’m a Fender guy and off loaded all of my Gibsons. I did keep the Lazarus however! Thank you for all you do.
Les Pauls aren't my cup of tea, I have a large frame and they feel too small for me, I prefer my ES 335 for that reason. I am also not a collector for collecting's sake. However, if I were in your position, my first choice as a keeper would probably be the R4. I love the P90 sound and I have an affinity for the classic colors and if I were shopping for an LP a gold top would be my first choice. Also, if a collection has reached the stage where culling is necessary, I would want to keep one that could be an heirloom. I'm glad to see you are keeping it. The Standard 50's and R8 also could qualify for that, but I prefer the R4. Other than that I would probably keep the Epi '59. My 2 cents. Good luck with your sale.
verry tuff decisions my brother! i was thinking something was wrong with one of my squier affy teles...got it all ready to sell...even took photos... but something told me to try something 1st...and i did...so its "on hold" til i sort something out...ill keep you updated mate!
re watched this film because its cool! i went with a vintera clone bridge pup on that tele that was buggered up lol! the 1st pup didnt fit the bridge properly....which fit on the king branded offset tele perfectly!
This is the guy that id buy a guitar from....The honesty is second to none......And you must remember....One mans trash is another mans treasure.....We tend to pick different necks and colors and feels......Or have a favorite player that we refer to when we choose certain guitars......I have real pafs, that are great! but have a set of stephens design pickups i tend to like the sound better.......But i like this show so much im gonna spend the money and join his memebership....As you say in england, cheers mate!
Weight, pickups, aesthetics...what is your back willing to deal with, Gibson pick ups are better sounding, what do you love to look at the most...for me the Epi Custom and the R8 are keepers, the rest are nice but...great video as always, cheers.
Hi Colin, great video, lovely les paul collection that you have. I two have a ephiphone 50s standard gold top and a Gibson les paul tribute, plus a Gibson standard 50s cherry sunburst..I love them all...I feel like you made some very tough choices over which to keep and sell..braver man than myself..I'm keeping all of mine, love all of them along with my teles, strats, acoustic, and ephiphone casino...would just like to try out a tokai les paul, to scratch that itch as you put 😀...love your reviews...great content and playing..please keep it going. Many thanks
I’m sitting here having my coffee before work, thoroughly enjoying this. And I guessed right on which one you’d sell at the end (cus I’d do the same). Cheers. Great video (as are all your videos).
The unburst Gibson sounded best to my ears out of the bunch, hope you kept that one! I’d rather have one ROCKING Gibson LP than a bunch of Epi’s….ah the video is still playing I guess I’m going to find out if you sold it or not…
I’ve just had to send my new custom back this week as the neck pick-up wasn’t working - would happily take yours off your hands 😅😅😅. Oh mannnn missed the sale :(
Hi Collin!. Just to say I love your passion your commitment the hard work you put in. I'm right to say that their was some emotion on desiding between the R8 and the standard?. Nice one. 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Congratulations on Your choices!! I know it must be hard, but feel You made the right ones!! Really glad You kept the Epi 50's Gold top!! I, like others who have one am really loving it!!!The Gibson CS R4 is really a guitar to keep!!! Best of Luck on the sale of the others!!! Like some of Your other viewers, can't wait to see what You get to review now!!! 18:55 that's good to know. I've been playing for a while but just gotten into learning about wiring and pots. I'll probably get me a white Les Paul custom one day, randy rhoads really influenced my playing. I smiled when you said "I might keep it" haha I would to
Oh no! Im late to the video and all the guitars on Reverb have been sold already so....ahm....now I dont know which one got sold out of the final two? Anyone?😅
Like you say they are ALL a great perv. I have no clue how you keep up on them all but guess the channel helps loads. I have 12 guitars in total (new recent Gretsch purchase which I don't need arriving) and much as I can get as intoxicated as anyone in a shop and have sold a few for more and a few for less I guess dedication to hobbies comes in and out .....Tough LOL.....LP wise I have a Gibson Studio and an Epi Std and both just fine. I let my Gibby std go as never seeing the light of day.........You may laugh but at home, a simple pedal board into an affordable amp sim into a Roland Mobile Cube (flat response keyboard input) is heaps of experimentation for me currently........ Things change as and when of course.
12 is a good number it think but once it starts growing beyond that you so tend to lose perspective a bit! 🤣 My home rig is a small board with just a soul food, fuzz ditto looper, and blackstar HT1HR head with headphones. I generally have about 6 guitars there on rotation but Les Paul's never stay there for long.
Hi Colin, very nice collection. Did they all go ? I see there is only one Korina Flying V in your shop... If you liked the R8, you'll love the R9. Same overall impression, but with a much easier to handle neck. Cheers !
I'm taking my PA and monitor to a cool space to donate... I have a snare drum a bass and two keyboards that are also getting donated. You can't take it with you, so it's best to pass it on, especially if it connects you with other like-minded players. Good on ya, Colin...

Les Pauls look amazing and have a ton of history behind them... Hate how heavy they are and how uncomfortable they are to play though. The Epiphone SG (Inspired By Gibson) range get my vote 😎

Great video. Great way to make those hard decisions! Thanks for the shout out at the start, I love the Tribute!
Nice one Colin, all nice guitars and I'm sure they will all find good homes....
Very Cool and Interesting seeing your decision process. Nice work. Thankyou. Cheers
Great video. I'm new to guitar so I'm amazed by the size of your collection. I play on a ratty old acoustic. Maybe if I get good enough I'll own something like the ones you chose to keep one day.
One purchase at a time, and go play them in the store to get the feel, take someone with you so you can sit back and listen.
@@brentparks3669 I feel like I'm not good enough to play in a store. I fear the judgment of better musicians.
Cheers Rico!
I think the Epiphone 59 is and will be a cult classic now and in years to come. I would reconsider selling it unless you have two. My 2pence!
It's definitely a cult classic already.... damn you don't make it even harder for me Mike! 🤣
@@theguitaristas I’m honestly concerned about the factory in Qingado. I’m suspicious of the output and availability. Maybe a lot rarer than a Gibson down the line to obtain.
@@USTTRM You ain't getting mine!!! lol
@@theguitaristas After I finished playing mine last night I sat there looking at it wondering why in the fuck anybody would want to pay for a Gibson...lol
@@joehahn8817 agreed. And for quality, fit and finish far out strips Gibson.
I got my Epi Les Paul Standard 50's last week. So happy with her. She's stunning and plays great! Can't get enough of her.
I think that's optimistic there's a lot of these out there. But I do still have a few custom shop SG's which are not for sale... 😜👍
Cheers Dana, nice one!.... and all of a sudden there's a whole new octave to explore eh? 😆👍
Kinda figured the Epiphone 50s was a keeper, glad to see it. I played one recently, along with a custom. I'm torn. Lol
@@theguitaristas Glad to hear it, keep it pure, man.
Cheers man! 😎👍
I think you made good choices on which ones to sell and which to keep. that r4 is one beautiful guitar!
For sure having that R4 makes it all a lot easier!
I watch this every now and again.
I just find Colin videos are fun to watch.
Keep the 2 Standard 50s, R8 and the custom with P90s. Wow, that Studio sounds great!
Great show Colin ,😢 i hear the sadness in your voice mate , but you have to do what you have to do .
I have been buying and “Selling” again , because mere mortals like us have to , one in one out kinda thing.
Power to you and the show mate 🤛
Cheers 70s John 😉
Bravo Collin on keeping the Epiphone Custom Alpnine White and the goldtop 50's ! I own them both and the 59'. I love them all .I also own an Epi SG prophecy custom tiger red with dirty finger pickups and a worn classic sg in Inverness green 9(inspired by gibson)and my second ever guitar ,an 03 epi sg special.I would of kept the standard over the R8 as well. Love the video as I do all your videos! Looking forward to next Friday's video !
Cheers Rob! 😎👍
Can't wait!
Nice one!… and since this film all of the Gibsons have now gone but I still have the Custom! 😁👍👍
Cheers man that’s appreciated! 🙏 have a great weekend 😎👍
Keep four different colours
I would keep the 1958 reissue because you know its a good one and you could always put different pickups in it
Really interesting video mate.
Well it's not sold yet Victor so still time to change my mind... 🤔 PS your wife is a bit mean but you certainly made up for it with those others! 🔥
Yes they all went quickly!... including the R8 😕
Cheers Ronno, thanks for the sub and support! 😎👍
Hi Colin, beautiful collection.
I can’t buy a guitar but I did subscribe to your TV channel.
I’ll have a good look in the morning. 🤘
The R8 & R4 are beautiful Colin, that custom shop vibe really smacks you on the snozzer! Just looking at them alone makes my wallet twitch.
😁👍
I'm looking forward to the new guitars you are going to buy with the money
you will get 😁 👍
Me too! 🤣👍
Great video, thank you. Certainly a place I have been recently. I finally realized I’m a Fender guy and off loaded all of my Gibsons. I did keep the Lazarus however! Thank you for all you do.
It makes perfect sense if you can do that. Why do I need 10 Les Pauls when I so rarely play them?... 5 will do! 🤣👍
Love the looks of the white custom!
The wife said that if I didn’t get rid of some of my guitars it is either “they go or I go!” I’m gon’na miss her!
😆👍
This is the guy that id buy a guitar from....The honesty is second to none......And you must remember....One mans trash is another mans treasure.....We tend to pick different necks and colors and feels......Or have a favorite player that we refer to when we choose certain guitars......I have real pafs, that are great! but have a set of stephens design pickups i tend to like the sound better.......But i like this show so much im gonna spend the money and join his memebership....As you say in england, cheers mate!
Cheers John!! 😎👍
Weight, pickups, aesthetics...what is your back willing to deal with, Gibson pick ups are better sounding, what do you love to look at the most...for me the Epi Custom and the R8 are keepers, the rest are nice but...great video as always, cheers.
Your R8 is beautiful! I would love to own it 😍😍😍
Hi Colin, great video, lovely les paul collection that you have. Many thanks
Cheers Andrew! Yes it’s always hard to let them go… 5 of these are now gone! 🥲
I’d rather have one ROCKING Gibson LP than a bunch of Epi’s….ah the video is still playing I guess I’m going to find out if you sold it or not…
A studio & a modern are my dream guitars
I’ve just had to send my new custom back this week as the neck pick-up wasn’t working - would happily take yours off your hands 😅😅😅. Oh mannnn missed the sale :(
Hi Collin!.
Just to say I love your passion your commitment the hard work you put in.
I'm right to say that their was some emotion on desiding
between the R8 and the standard?.
Nice one.
👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Cheers Michael, yes that has been (still is...) a tough choice!
I would keep the R8, R4, the Epiphone gold top and the alpine custom :)
Good thing we Love SG's so much, makes it a little easier to give new homes for the Les Paul's we don't play as much, to others who will play them more!!! Cheers!!!!
Cheers Blake, yes a couple of new SG's and any sellers remorse will be long forgotten! 😆👍
@@theguitaristas Amen to that!!! Which Guitar did You decide not to sell? Was it the Epiphone 59 Sunburst? You could always buff the body to add a little shine if You wanted a glossy type finish!! Lol!!! Have a Great Weekend Colin!!!! Cheers!!!!
Yes im a mad Les Paul guy...ill go on reverb after the video. The R8 is looking in my soul😂
Parting is such sweet sorrow...so I'll keep my guitars until tomorrow, or next week, next month, next year....and so forth.
18:55 that's good to know. I've been playing for a while but just gotten into learning about wiring and pots. I'll probably get me a white Les Paul custom one day, randy rhoads really influenced my playing. I smiled when you said "I might keep it" haha I would to
Gibson or Epiphone ?
Oh no! Im late to the video and all the guitars on Reverb have been sold already so....ahm....now I dont know which one got sold out of the final two? Anyone?😅
It was the R8! 😢

As much as I would like a Les Paul standard and have wanted one since I seen them in the Carlsberg advert as a kid, the old saying is "never meet your heroes!".
