    I'm loving the family stories between the lines of your food

      HellthyJunkFood I agree I really like videos best when people tell why they cook what they cook. It is almost always family related. I watch your videos too HJF and they are funny and informative but your family must have eaten even more junk food than mine! Maybe you can re-create the frozen family tray of Salisbury Steak by Swanson! Junk food from the store (my childhood)!

    I made this a year or so ago for my boyfriend and me, we loved it. Later I made some for a family gathering. They loved also. My Mom is a good cook, Soul food. Her spaghetti not bad but not great. She called me one day and asked for the recipe. Made me feel good, I'm usually calling her for her recipes. Thank you Julie!!

    The spices you use to season the meat sound so wonderful. I also never heard of capers in spaghetti and I love capers! Thanks for another family meal idea that reflects your families meals with your Grandmother. She must be a great cook!

    That look killer Julie. That is exactly how I like my spaghetti, and the spices give it a great twist on the classic style. I always felt spaghetti sauce could use a bit more spice. I'm making this one for sure, and I think I'll make some of your giant meatballs as well. Macy is going to be very happy. Thanks Julie. :)

      Great recipe I will make it, the Cuban Chicken soup was a hit at my house! I know this will be too! Julie you should be on the radio because that voice is just so pleasant to the ear. Amazing clarity and tone. Do you sing as well?

      D. J. Tanner Thanks so much! So glad you enjoyed the soup :) I write music on my spare time, it relaxes me. I could sing soft songs, I def don't have a gifted voice like Martina McBride or Mariah Carey.

      Cookedbyjulie, I knew you could sing, with a speaking voice like yours, I knew there is a songbird in there. I know a little bit about singing and voices..by no means am I an expert but I sang for years in school and church. Singing and music is wonderful!

    Just made it and finished eating a plate. Since your website link here on YT isn't working, I just kind of winged it from the video so I'm not sure if I got the exact measurements right. I think I added to much spaghetti, then again maybe not, I love pasta. Anyway, it turned out pretty damn good!!!! Really, it tasted great , thanks Julie.
    Really simple to make and I can't believe how good it is! I did add mushrooms instead of capers or olives, still. I give it a 10 thumbs up!!!!

    If you hadn't called it "Cuban Style", I would have said it's "Colombian Style". Our food is soooo similar, it's crazy. Except that we don't add vino seco, so I might like this version more. LOL.

    Not sure if you want to add Sazon seasoning, that is all MSG. I wouldn't add that.

    • @leodrps
      @leodrps 7 лет назад +1

      tiny tea It's a myth that MSG is bad for you, it's basically salt & glutamate which are things we already consume on the daily from protein, veggies, & soy. Glutamate is an amino acid. Scientists have debunked the myth that MSG gives people headaches or allergic reactions time & time again. Of course anything in excess is bad for you, but you get more glutamate from the protein in your food than from any added MSG. The reason why they've had to take it out of foods is b/c unfortunately the myths are pervasive & bad for business.
