I wanted to make a Sandra Dee video with clips, so here it is! Sandra recorded a version of "When I Fall In Love" on the Decca label in the early 60s, so I thought I'd use the instrumental version performed by the 101 Strings Orchestra. Of course, I couldn't make this video without paying homage to the love Sandra and Bobby Darin shared!

What a beautiful and talented girl. So sad that she experienced so much pain and tragedy inher life. But regardless, she definitely left a great legacy and inspiration behind. RIP, Sandra. Hope you'll have the happiness and peace in the after life that you didn't have enough of in this one.

all film/media people are 2, one public, one private. With so called 'reality programming' we think we have merged a person's life...unless they are without a past, emotions and a present, they are -- who they are. I loved what I saw and was allowed to know...Sandra Dee forever! She survived and thrived. Our end is never as good as our 20's.
@hotwoodside , I think most of us are aware of the traumas and tragedies of Sandra's life. And Bobby, to be fair, had his own set of demons to deal with - he knew he wasn't going to live long. Could he have treated her better? Definitely. But that doesn't mean that the love they shared wasn't a special one. Sandra was an inspiration to so many and continues to be so, even after she's gone. That's what this tribute is about. To remember her and her contribution to film.

One of the great things about social media is the fact that 100 years from now and beyond, people will stumble across photos of her and become totally mesmerized by her beauty and begin to research the impact she had on popular culture at that time. I do not believe she realized just how wonderful she was.

As I understood it, She was divorced from Bobby because she had an eating disorder and a drinking problem. He couldn't deal. He did go back and live with her though. They had a son. She didn't die alone, she had her son with her. I loved both of them and the music and the movies. I will always remember them as a couple!
She was a beautiful girl and I mooned over her more than once. Too bad she did not find true happiness. She is a proof of the fact being beautiful is not necessarily enough to be happy. Too bad such a nice girl could not attain true happiness.

I highly recommend the book 'Dream Lovers' written by Dodd Darin, Sandra Dee and Bobby Darin's son. You will learn a lot about them you never knew - it's very good!

She was an adorable teen and a beautiful woman. So so sad her life was so short. I wish someone had helped her to get out of the alcohol, gain some weight, and start acting again.

Sandra Dee had the most perfect face that I have ever seen. I recorded a Bobby darin song (You're The Reason I'm Livin' ) a while back and I used some of my favorite pictures of Sandra and Bobby. Stop by sometime and check it out. I am very much an amature but I have always liked that song.

First of all, Sandy was divine inspiration of Bobby in his life because of the main works of art Bobby made at that time after marriage.His fault was obvious,he had not right to leave her with son alone and he would'nt support her.So , extent of their tragedy could'nt have been heavy so much for both.
