A beautiful park. I worked there in the mid 2000’s . I had to carry up bags of concrete and 5 gallon jugs of water to west peak for those benches . Glad to see they are still there.

I am still going to visit South Llano River State Park in a few weeks. I plan to get there early as the park opens and do my hike early and then take advantage of the river

The West Peak overlook trail looks like a trail well worth the hike for that awesome view you get. 👌🏾

The fall season a great time to camp. Hill Country, Lost Maples and Garner are some great places to camp 🏕
Been there many times hiked all the trails I loved it lived an hour away. Also primitive backpacking was my favorite. Wait for cooler months now
It was our first time visiting the park and it’s beautiful. We plan on revisiting during the fall when it cools down.
I have always wanted to go hike this park. Someday we will make it out there. Sounds so nice being sparsely populated.
It’s a nice hike! Seen only two people on the trail. The town Bandera nice too, might revisit to check out the museums /restaurants.
