Great review, May! She is so pretty but I have been back and forth about the crossbody “issue”. Im a crossbody girl, so I think for about the same price I would invest in another Lou Camera. That is such a great bag!
Great review as always!!! I’m in agreement in that wearing this beauty crossbody isn’t ideal at all. I almost always wear her using the top handles and mostly use it for date nights. She’s a classic indeed and a forever piece ❤
The Alma BB is one of my favorite bags. I don’t have issues with the crossbody function because I don’t wear it that way. I don’t think it works that way I wish they wouldn’t lie and market it as such. It’s a really great top handle bag. Also, here’s a tip if you are going to cross body it, don’t put the rings down. The rings should be standing up. The handles will lay better that way. I’m not sure if that makes sense the way I wrote it, but take a look online and you’ll see what I mean.

Great honest review! The Alma bb (epi indigo or noir) has been in my bucket list for years yet I cannot bring myself to get one. I don’t know what’s stopping me. I recently discovered the Saint Laurent Lou camera bag, now I’m more confused as ever Lol. I just need an everyday bag, shoulder bag or crossbody….the Alma bb is just so lovely.
Ohhh The Alma in Epi is sooo beautiful. I like that this one also has a top handle option. But if that is not a deal breaker for you, I would do the Lou, great pricepoint, fits a good amount & they have so many beautiful colors to choose from. 😍
I have that exact Alma and absolutely love it! I replaced the crossbody strap with one from Amazon to make it longer. I hope to purchase one in Vernis or Epi one day
I have this bag in the monogram vachetta and I love it. I often wear her top handle but have used her crossbody when shopping. She’s not the perfect crossbody, but works fine. Nothing beats her as a top handle!
Great review May. The way it lays on the body is what has prevented me from buying the bags so far. It is a bag that goes on and off of my wishlist. If they came out with it in the DA print I would run out and buy it today but I don’t need anymore DE canvas in my collection. I’m not a huge fan of the leather colors they have come out with.

I love the alma bb in damier ebene so much; I got the alma bb in epi noir ❤❤❤... When I use it as a crossbody, I bump into everything & everyone lol...I use it as a top handle, unless shopping.😊
The Alma bb is on my wishlist but I do not like it crossbody I have tried this bag on in my local boutique and it felt awkward for me to wear crossbody so when I do purchase this handbag I will definitely be carrying it top handle ❤❤
@@mrsleyvaI just purchased this bag yesterday from the boutique in the damier ebene print and I love it but my cons are of course the strap to wear the bag crossbody and I do not like the key bell and the way it hangs on the bag so I took it off the bag my zipper is a little stiff but it’s manageable but besides that I love the bag ❤❤❤

I've had this bag for 3 years it's definitely not ment for crossbody and going inside the bag is not easy if it's used as a top handle you need to use both hands. It's kinda too structured I rarely use it..a little too dressy for my casual style but it's'durable
I am looking for my first LV, I like this one how classy it looks but then I think of should go with croisette as afraid, it will make the looks outdated kind of.
Hi, both options are very nice since they do have various ways to be used (crossdody, on the shoulder, hand held...) I think the Alma might fit your things a little bit more comfortable and for me this style will forever remain a classic. Good luck on choosing 🙂
Definitely seems like it’s gonna be a handheld bag, doesn’t seem comfortable crossbody. On the upside, if you’re ever bored waiting for a flight you can pop out some pieces and have a chess match on top of it 😄♟️

Yea I knew initially it wasnt going to be a crossbody go to for me but it does lay so awkwardly ☹️ I think they had a limited edition DA at one point

I do own alma bb but I never used the original strap, I used a gold chain from coach. Dinky strap. Looks 100 times better

Unfortunately the fact that it's not comfortable to wear as a crossbody is one of the main reasons why I ended up selling it since i barely used it.
