Everyone is complaining about how they don’t know how to do different stitches and complain about how she expects us to know… *SOLUTION* = WATCH A QUICK SHORT ON HOW TO DO THE STITCH!! You could even make a playlist of shorts on how to do different stitches so in case you forget you can always watch it again!! *Use you’re common sense and don’t hate on this AWESOME tutorial!!* ❤️

Thank you 😍😍😍
Ya’ll I was struggling at trying to make a solid granny square. I do amigurumi mostly but I want to make a blanket and I was trying so hard but couldn’t understand other’s tutorials. So easy and I finally got the hang of it, thank you!!!
Thank you for going slow! I always struggle with learning granny squares! I'm stoked to learn other stitches from you as well 😊❤
I hope you enjoy the square! Thanks for watching🎃
Wdym slow? She’s/their going fast.. 😢
@@CanIEatYourMochifr I’m so confused

I was so confused
I think they we’re being sarcastic
I’m giggling over my first granny square, thank you for this tutorial it was the EASIEST one I could follow😂
Thank you. This was great. It was easy to follow. I actually made this in no time. I made my skirt black and red. It came out beautifully. Many compliments. Thank you.
I have been trying to learn a granny square for years. I could never get it down. I can do other things but never that. I watch your video and I got it the first time. Thank you so much for being you!🖤 You are a great teacher and I love your patterns so much.
Welcome to the crochet granny square club! I hope you have some fun projects lined up now. Spooky crocheting!
Thank you for making this!! Ive been just doing the basic stitches for years bc thats all my grandma taught me before i went to college, but now i feel like ive levelled up!! Thank you so much for this easy-to-follow video!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanxs croSis. I've been hooking for 40 plus yrs and learned something new. Making the treble instead of a DC and a chain . Thanxs
i was not able to make granny squares until i saw this video. super easy, and fast. took me a few tries but eventually got the hang of it without needing the video.
i see a lot of people not knowing how to make triple crochets and thought i’d also come on to say it’s basically just like double crochet except you yarn over twice before going into a stitch, then pulling through two til you have one loop on your hook.
if you don’t get it the first time (i for sure had troubles in the beginning as well) try again and don’t give up!
This personally was still a little too fast for me, but when I use the slow down feature, it works out perfectly!
I absolutely love the is tutorial. I like it because it’s different from the traditional way of crocheting a granny square. Although, it’s different, I understood what was happening. I like it. I can’t wait to make a bag of these square. Thanks for the great tutorial! ❤
What a great Granny lesson! The spaces can get confusing, but not the way you explained it. Thanks so much ! 💕🧶
This is hard🧍🏽♀️ i quit ❤
Nooooooooooo
keep going you got this trust me it just takes some time!!!☺️
Real 😭
I felt the same some things can get confusing but you'll get it if you slow it down
😢 I understand 😢
My best friend wants a granny square cardigan with no holes 🙄 but this looks like the perfect solution! Thank you for the tutorial ❤
Yay, thank you! I was trying to follow the written pattern for a solid granny square and it was so wordy and confusing I turned to good ol RUclips and found you! Very helpful and easy! Followed along and made my test square and it went smoothly 😊 so thank you! 🙏🏽
You saved me!!! I was trying to follow a written pattern and every square looked sloppy around the join … until I followed your tutorial that made it so clear. Thank you!
i dislike written patterns they are so confusing
i'm so thankful for this video, quick and no long confusing explanations
Thank you for showing me how to do one big square the most discouraging part of learning is that I can’t finish any thing and this gives me something simple to follow easy to do and I now have a flat and consistent piece to show my work progress with practice squares
She is literally so audible and so understandable omg where have you been all my lifeeeee❤❤❤❤
I love this tutorial , especially because the round doesn't end in the middle of the row like most granny square tutorials. I'm using this to make a lovey and it's the best tutorial I have seen so far. Thank you so much
Omg omg I just made my first granny square watching you I know how to crochet but the granny squares use to give me so much trouble girlllllllllllll thank yoooooouuuuu
Congratulations on your make!🎃
This is the first granny square tutorial I've been able to follow, and be confused, so thank you
Hi, back again, forgot how to do it then remembered how good this vid helped me, cant belive ppl cant understand ❤
This is quite literally the best granny square tutorial I have ever seen, thank you so much!!!!
After making a few plushies, I decided to try my first granny square and omg it worked!! Now to make more and possibly get the courage to either put them into a blanket or cardigan! Your videos are the best!!
What plushies did you do and was it a video tutorial? I'm looking for plushie videos to add to a playlist for projects. I'm just starting and I've done a scarf and a scrunchie so far 🎉
I purchased a creepy crochet plushie book A Crochet World of Creepy Creatures and Cryptids, and made the alien, mermaid, kraken and mothman. It was easier than I expected or at least it has been so far. Haven’t tried the more intricate ones yet
@@amandaallison5185 omg what a cool book! Thank you so much for sharing!!!
@@Bellllllz definitely check it out I wish you luck!
Thank you for this!! I have tried so many different patterns and tutorials for the solid granny square, but mine would never be flat, they would get all wavy. Yours is perfect! 💚
This tutorial was excellent - easy to follow, clear, and well-paced. Thank you for teaching me a new granny square!!
It’s hella embarrassing, but I’ve never been able to crochet a granny square before… with this tutorial, it just finished my first one. Thank you so much!
Congrats! 🎉
Really easy and wonderful. I'm using this to make a giant granny square baby afghan. Thank you for this.
Thank you! This was my first square! It’s not perfect but im still proud and thankful to you for the tutuorial!
My new favorite granny square!!! I can’t wait for the 100 days of Halloween blanket! 🎃👻
How's it going haha
Thank you. I was about to cry trying to read a pattern. This was easy to follow and you give clear directions. 😊
Ty for this video! I never learned how to do granny square of any kind ( i make household items, baby things, self care, and starting to make clothes) thanx to ur video i can now to the triple crochet and a granny square . U have made it fun and easy. I dont know if u believe in God but may u recieve all God has for u this year!
Thank you so much for this. Today I learned watching this and also made a earpod bag at the same day! Thank you so much❤
I came here to watch this video to give you the view thinking I knew how to do this... turns out, I learned things I didn't know! thx! :)
Yay! Thank you,
others say solid but they are not as solid as this one.
Just what I’ve been searching for.
Great tutorial.
Thanks for having the transcription. I simply took picture with ny phone and now can have it right where I can watch it as I crochet the square. Love the funky gloves you wear. You corner instructions are excellent as this is where many mess up.Cheers
If you’re a beginner crocheter I would NOT recommend you keep watching until you know most of the common stitches and such, else you will be confused, I still consider myself a beginner but others say otherwise, I feel this helped me understand solid granny squares more as someone not liking them at all and trying to avoid them but here I am watching this to create a arm sweater ☺️
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! I can’t remember how many videos I watched on this same pattern but for some odd reason my squares were NOT coming out even. I think that last 2 DCs in the corner really make the difference! NOW I have perfect squares. 😁 thanks a bunch!
❤❤❤ I usually just go with regular granny squares, but I'm excited to try something new, I might try joining with the standard granny square style for a border around the squares
I love the way these look. Idk the patterns I found for granny squares have a lot of holes and I never liked then but I love this.
Thankyou for this granny square it is unusual and beautiful. You teaching style is clear and concise ❤
I have genuinely tried different videos with various types of patterns , however i failedddd . This video helped me start frok the basic granny sqaure(solid) thank you ❤
Thank you for this! Simple and can get the job done when I don’t want to do a design granny square.
the easiest granny sqaure tutorial ever !! Thank you !
Finally a tutorial that worked (at least for me) ❤️, even though I needed to start over two or three times, because I lost my count 😅, it came out perfectly at the end 🤩
This is a really easy to follow tutorial, thank you! I couldn't find one that was easy to learn while using wool since it's so hairy. Do you think I could just keep repeating until I reach 10x10 inches?
Edit: yes, I was able to reach 10x10 inches 🎉the increase is 4 on each side each round. and for anyone wondering, it's totally possible if you wanted to make a giant 1 square, granny square, blanket using this method.
Fantastic video. Good color. Nice voice pace..ty so much@ very easy explanation 🎉
This was a great video. You can see where you are placing the stiches and in which space. So excited to see more. Thank you!!
Thank you so much for this pattern. I have been looking for a solid gs pattern. Thank you for sharing.
I really like this style of granny square 🧶. Great tutorial! ❤
This was perfect! I’m so happy with how it turned out! I can finally do a granny square! 🎉❤
I actually like this better than other granny squares
I love them too🎃🎃🎃
I'm so excited. I'm definitely doing the granny squares all the way to Halloween
The magic ring was so simple and easy
Thank you soo much😊
This is my first try at a granny square! I got 5 sides on it but at least I finally understand it. Thanks for the tutorial! 🎃🎃
That's great I'm happy you got it, can we get to know each other.
Thank you I learned something new and feedback don’t skip because it’s hard to keep track 😢 but thank you 😊
Comments above and below state that they were confused. This video is a little confusing, but overall, you did a great job and you are a great crochet teacher❤. Could you maybe show us some other styles of granny square, like maybe sunburst?.

I can't make a granny square for the life of me and I've been crocheting for a while this was a pretty good attempt for me
thank youu this is the first granny square tutorial that works for me ❤😊
I love all your video's, your awesome & my hubby and I really enjoy watching you.
What is the sequence at 4:45 that we're supposed to repeat 3 more times? Is it from doing 1 dc in the next three stitches? or 2 dc in the same (after the chain 4) and then 1 dc in the next three stitches? I keep ending up with too many stitches and I'm doing pentagons...!
Sorry, I've started learning over the holidays and this is the only granny square pattern I like on YT, so I'd love to get this down. But I'm being dim.
It's the {1 dc in next 3, 2dc-tr-2dc } that you want to repeat. adding a second set of 1dc x3 is probably what's making you off. The full round pattern should look like this (taken from a comment above)
round 2:
ch 4
2 dc into same space
1 dc into next 3 stitches
corner: 2 dc, 1 tr, 2 dc all in same stitch
1 dc into next 3 stitches
corner: 2 dc, 1 tr, 2 dc all in same stitch
1 dc into next 3 stitches
corner: 2 dc, 1 tr, 2 dc all in same stitch
1 dc into next 3 stitches
corner: 2 dc, 1 tr, 2 dc all in same stitch
2 dc into next stitch
1 sl st stitch into 3rd chain of ch 4
This is awesome. My first try at this, love how you made it so easy, thank you.❤
Thanks for the tutorial, you did great. I’m on my 2nd Afghan with these squares.
Thank you so much for posting this video. I was new to crocheting and feeling overwhelmed because everything seemed so complicated, but I was able to follow this tutorial. My work quickly improved from my first try.
I stitched the squares I made from my first practice yarn into a scarf that shows my progress as it goes from lopsided at one end to nicely shaped with even stitches at the other, though I had to leave out my very first attempt because I mixed up the double crochet stitch with the half double crochet and made an oddly sized amoeba shape. I actually learned how to properly do the double and triple crochet from slowing down this video and watching carefully.
I had tried to learn how to crochet before, when I was a little girl, but I didn't get very far between school keeping me busy and my neurological stuff making fine motor skills difficult when I was younger. I started taking an interest in crochet again recently, but I was uncertain about actually doing it because of the memories of how daunting it was for my childhood self. Then I saw your Crochet 101 series and watched this video and thought "I can do that," and I could.
After practicing this granny square until I could make it nicely from memory, I got the confidence to try other projects. At this point I have tried a lot of different things and gotten more of a feel for how crocheting works, and it was this tutorial that helped me get started and build confidence and skill.
This is the most helpful video I’ve watched, thank you!!
I’m planning on crocheting a bag for a field trip im going on and the first square turned out surprisingly nice:D
Congrats! Have fun creating 🎃
This was perfect. I’m going to try this with the video slowed down step by step
Amazing tutorial, easy and quick! First one when i learned something😭 Thank you !!
OMG thank you for the super easy to follow pattern! I'll be making two big squares into a top. :)
Omg yes i have been looking for something like this for ages and its perfect , got it done in the first try , would love for a magic ring version tho😅
LOVE IT!!!! So straight forward!!! Thank you!!!
Just made my first! Love this tutorial
Awesome!🎃🎃🎃
Love this solid granny. Used it to make pockets for a pocket scarf with homespun yarn. Thanks!
i dont wanna be the one to say this but i followed exactly what u did and it came out as a messy oval
then you did it wrong
This will be my first solid granny. Starting now!
That's good, as it doesn't need so much jarn. I will place theses between my other squares. Thanx from Heiligenkreuz, Austria.
Just finished my first one! AMAZING!! TY SO MUCH! So easy..
thanks so much you are the only person that got me to learn this
😃
Thank you for the great tutorial ❤
Thank you I can finally do a grannie square & definitely will use your video for reference 🥳🥳🥳
Ur video was the one that teach me how to crochet a granny square ty ^^
that tutorial was AMAZING, thank u so much!!
Thank you!! It worked out so well!!
This was so easy to follow! Thank you! ❤
This was great! Wanted granny squares that didn't leave big holes for my produce bag I'm making.
bye why did mine end up looking like a triangle 🙁
This is a great tutorial, but the big gaps where the chain 4 is on every row was driving me crazy. It took me making 8 entire grannies to realize if you slip stitch into the very top chain (4th from the bottom instead of 3rd) it eliminates the gaps. Just thought I’d share for others. I was planning to make a long patchy sweater with these but I’m just gonna use the gappy ones on the back. The back doesn’t count. 😂
I literally was reading through these comments trying to find if someone had a solution to this because the same thing happens to me. It is driving me batty because it was the ONLY part where there were "holes." Thank you!!!!
thank youuu, after many trials i got it finally
To everyone struggling, the more you crochet the more you'll understand this video. She isn't going fast. ❤
🙏🏼I could learn knitting and crochet from scratch on youtube, I can learn this. Even if i does take me 57 times😂
Love your tutorials! I'm so going to make myself a cute cardigan or something with this square, watching all your videos lately has given me SO MANY fun ideas for projects!
I've been crocheting for the past 54 years... very hard to follow these instructions... Going to fast... slow down a little please ma'am
You can adjust the video speed.
This is the best tutorial🥺 thanku so muchhhhhhh❤
This is great. I enjoy because you actually take the time to show how to do the work. I'm practicing with this video everyday. Thank you
Thank you so much for this tutorial! It was easy to follow ❤
Mine isn't becoming a square? One side looks like it doesn't have a border and idk what I'm doing wrong 😅
This was a fabulous tutorial!! You were so easy to understand and I could see everything so well. Thank you for taking the time to do this for us!!!🕸
