    Thank you for this demonstration. I have listened to about 20 of these videos from different people. And except for Chris Buck, every single one it seemed like all of them were deliberately trying to make this guitar sound as horrible as they possibly could, strumming so hard that it seemed like all six strings were hitting all 22 frets at the same time, just terrible,terrible. In no case, except for you and Chris Buck, could a person get a sense of how the guitar could sound, so thanks to you, for the sensible playing, to give us an idea of how this guitar actually can sound.

    The sound and the music you make on this guitar is sooo beautiful!
    I think you kinda should (not my business) to turn than toggle switch 90° in it’s place. As Fender did it does have logic-push the switch to the front you have neck pup, push it back you have bridge pup on. But it’s un-ergonomical. The strumming hand has to do the extra movement or even two. Turn it 90° counterclockwise and you have the switch’s path aligned with the strumming hand up and down movement: Up-neck pup, down-bridge pup. Way more convenient to switch the switch!

    • @DimitrisLoizos
      @DimitrisLoizos  5 месяцев назад

      I've actually tried to do this as I agree with you, but the one I have can't reach because of a short cable in the toggle.

    I've had my eye on these for a while now and greatly appreciate your work on this demo. May I suggest Blondie as a name for this beauty? My most recent acquisition was a G&L Fullerton Fallout at the beginning of this year. It's a beautiful thing. Much better guitar than I am guitarist. Before that I was playing an Ibanez AR with a 24 3/4 scale length. The G&L is 25 1/2. The shorter scale length appeals to me as well as the double single coil. Beautiful playing, sir. All the best.

    What a great playing Dimitris!!. i have one Duo Sonic with the HS pickups.... They are amazing guitars, the sound is so deep and with a lot of byte (the HB is pure Rock)
    ... the only "situation" is that it took me 6 months to re learn how to play...the 24" short scale is challenging.... I have learned to be very gentle with the use of the pick when strumming...cause this guittar is very senstitive .... in order to sound good you have to place the right strenght in the strings while strumming/hitting... but is a lot of fun...so light ... I was very near to sell it inthe first 4 months....I m happy I keep it...cause today its one of my most loved guitars... May I ask you what gauge of strings are you using for this video? thanks!!

    Looks like MIM, with six bridge saddles and string-through. Good move . I have a 2008-9-ish Squier CV Duo-Sonic which has a top-loading 3 saddle bridge. Period-correct IIRC, but a PITA when changing strings. Duo-Sonics are somewhat under-rated because they were marketed and priced to the student market, and were furthermore overshadowed by the Mustang's bells and whistles. The 24" scale on the modern ones is just a little too small for my hands, so my CV has never seen the stage.
