      @Rom1970 3 года назад +5

      @@thatdamnguy9566 I regularly use mine with fuzz pedal and it sounds massive , I mostly play rock .It`s a great pedal guitar because it doesn`t hit the front end of a tube amp too hard so your pedal tones sound clear without muddiness and that pretty much makes these guitars versatile for any style, assuming you`re using pedals. The clean tones are beautiful ,especially with delays.

      @@leadbelly1495 On a 24 scale guitar like the duo sonic I would recommend 10 gauge strings like Ernie Balls ,on a 25 1/2 scale guitar like a tele or strat you could could go either 9s or 10s depending on your comfort level. I hope that helps

    I wish you had a demo room with decent acoustics, all your areas have reflective sounds and everything is bouncing off the walls. A couple of blankets on the walls and a hunk of carpet would make a world of difference here. As always you are the man and we will stick with you. Thanks for the heads up. I'm working on it. I just moved into my studio room, big rug, walls of amps with grill clothes soaking up the sound. It should be better. I mic'ed this one with 57 instead of using the phone mic. Sounds really dry to me, so I may wet it down next time.

    Hey John, great demo! My first guitar was a '64 Duo Sonic II and I loved it (wish I still had it). One of my favorite things about the Duo Sonic was the pick up sliders. You could select one or the other pickup -- or both in phase or a wonderfully quacky out of phase (better that the second and fourth positions on a Strat). Does the three way switch on this new Duo Sonic eliminate that wonderful quork?
