I am so thankful that my dad let me read Stephen King at 10. He gave me Cycle of the Werewolf to read first, and I was hooked. I read IT next, and the rest was history, as they say. Thank you for your Stephen King tour.
Strangly you are one of the few collector's that actually have Creepshow in their collection. Most other videos I've seen say they have a complete Stephen King book collection but no Creepshow. Great collection and love these videos!
Sorry to be so off topic but does someone know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my login password. I love any tricks you can give me.
@Bowen Lennon I really appreciate your reply. I found the site through google and im in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
My grandpa was an avid reader. He collected and purchased books and made a library with a sofa set. There are about 1800 books in there. Once you enter the place you would not even leave. Especially during the cold Canadian winters. You just keep reading and lose track of time. It's my dream to have a room assigned only for books.
Cool review man! I grew up in Corinth, ME and Stephen King owned a house next to us back in 88". He later sold it to his friend Chris Lavin, who he dedicated Needful Things too. My favorites are The Talisman and Nightshift. Cheers man!
Yaaaay. I love it. I'm also collecting everything I can. I wish I had all hardcover , they're stunniiiiiiiing. I second who said that has drooling on his keybord.
Great collection! 😍 I’ve got a much smaller Stephen king collection but I do enjoy his books and hope to have a much more impressive collection one day.
My mom pretty much has almost all of the king books and I was recently tasked with organizing them! I tell ya, it's not fun! My favorite king book would probably have to be the talisman (even thought not fully written by him).
Woah dude this is awesome!! I remember my first King book was misery, I read it in 5th grade after growing curious about the books after watching most of his film adaptations at an even younger age ( 7,8,9) and after that I was hooked. Would love to own some first editions cause the art is gorgeous, especially on misery.
I was literally watching my screen with my mouth open. What an amazing collection! I own all of King’s novels and short story collections (up to From a Buick 8 - not really a fan of anything that came after). I mostly just own common paperback copies of his novels, but my paperback copy of The Shining I’ve had since I learned to read English when I was 12, so I will cherish it forever. Amazing video! Subscribed!
Have you read 'Duma Key'? I've read around 9 or 10 King books; 'Duma Key' is one of my favourites. It came out after 'From a Buick 8', that's why I am curious whether you have read it or not?
@@NamasteBbooktube I have not read this one. The ones I read when they came out were Cell and Under the Dome and I just did not enjoy how seemingly exhausted and trite his characters became, especially when compared to his “golden age” which is my very favorite horror literature. Most recently I tried reading Dr. Sleep because I really enjoyed the film, and it was subpar, convoluted, and I was amazed at the amazing job Flannigan did at cleaning up the story for the film. I’m always willing to keep trying, though! He really is one of my favorite authors, and I want him to do well, lol. I can give Duma Key a shot for sure!
Great collection. Just bought a 1st edition salems lot to start my collection. Where do you get those nylon covers? Especially with every book being a different size?
i am 10 and love reading goosebumps and other horror novels. I am really looking forward to buy some stephen king books too. Thankyou for showing you collection!
For me it's the opposite. I think my mom showed me where the Stephen King were at our public library when I was 10-11y/o. It was way too big of a read for me at the time tho😂 I remember bringing Needful things in a yellow plastic bag with me everyday to school for my whole 6th grade never finishing it😂. (We would renew it at every library trip, I wonder if the clerk noticed🤔) I still haven't finished it (The Shame!😂) but I got a copy for myself. So one day...ya one day I guess😂.
@@LibraryMacabre True! I started reading it again maybe a year ago and got further than were I ended in 6grade, but I read a lot for work (elementary/middle school librarian, I like to know what I'm talking about when I present book to the kids so...📖👀) and ended up laking time.(also my bookmark slipped '___'...) Currently have The shining on hold for the same reason😅. I guess it's gonna be a summer read.🏖️ (Although....The shining in summer?🤔🤔🤔... )
If it helps, I am a huge King fan and still haven't read all of his. I try to read a few every year. I was almost caught up until he "retired" and then he swamped me, hahahaha. Love the collection and love those covers. I didn't even know you could buy plastic covers for books! I agree about Revival--I actually got rid of my copy. Pet Sematary is one of my favorites as well. The original adaptation was also really good (I haven't seen the remake yet). I didn't know there was a graphic novel volume of The Talisman! Shame they didn't continue. Thanks for the tour!
Haha Yep, he retired and now he has way too much work on his hands 😂 Thank you for watching! I did not care for the new Pet Semetary at all. Such a disappointment, but I would be curious to hear what you think about it.
The Dark Half was the one book/movie that truely scared the crap out of me. I don't believe I finished the book because I was completely creeped out and the movie caused me about a weeks worth of sleepless nights.
I have just about everything I've read almost 20 of his books my favorites are Pet Sematary, The Stand, 11/22/63, IT and Misery well these are my top 5 I still have a long way to go.
Hey man, I am going through your archives. Stunning collection! I love your first editions, very special. I would do anything for a copy of Storm of the Century, stunning! Glad you finished with Creepshow,. Absolutely love the movie and his son playing the child at the beginning. Bad Dad! Lets stick you with a needle and see how you feel.
Fantastic collection! I also have that edition of Everything's Eventual, I was lucky enough to stumble across it in a second-hand bookstore. I plan on reading Gerald's Game this year and I'm really looking forward to it after watching Mike Flanagan's adaptation 😁 ~Laura
These are great editions! 😱😱 I have the Halloween editions of The Shining, Bag of Bones, The Cell, and The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon 🖤🖤 wishing the made all his books in those themes
How did you bring yourself to not read Wizard and Glass as soon as you finished the Wastelands? Haha I think those are the only two of the pre-van accident books that I read in succession because I needed to know! Also, this collection is incredible! Very jealous and excited to see what you think of all these amazing books!
Now that’s what I call a true bibliophile… I myself is in the process of trying to collect Stephen King myself, been trying to but I don’t call myself a collector and I don’t have as impressive collection like you have, so far I’ve only got a few of Stephen King’s short stories compilation in paperbacks which I can read and as I tend to avoid his very long and thick famous books or novels. Like you I have to admit I have a lot to read and catch up on these King’s books just that it’s a matter of finding the time to do it.
@@LibraryMacabre Cool, I think you'll love them when you get to them. If I may recommend one for when you're ready, try Night In the Lonesome October - fantastic!
