I love your videos, especially the Stephen king ones! I am just getting back into reading for fun since reading for my bachelors degree made me HATE reading. I am in the middle of The Long Walk right now and I am really enjoying it. I've heard good things about it. I also don't live close to any used/thrift book stores so Ebay may be the way I have to go to get older Stephen King versions.

    - Gerald's Game is what I'd describe as a slow-burn, in a similar fashion to Revival, however both in my opinion, are FANTASTIC novels with terrifying endings!
    - Desperation was actually the first King book I ever read. I was about 13 years old at the time, and it's still one of my favourites. The Regulators is very good too. I guess it doesn't matter which order you read them in but I'd read Desperation first and then The Regulators.
    - The Tommyknockers is one of the most underrated Stephen King books ever. I absolutely LOVED The Tommyknockers. I have never gone by reviews as far as purchasing a novel goes. I feel like reviews will discourage you from buying something that may pleasantly surprise you, and that was certainly the case with me and The Tommyknockers. You're right it has many polarising reviews. But if you love it then really, who cares what anyone else thinks. I hope you like The Tommyknockers too! In terms of references to his other books, you wont be disappointed because Stephen King references many of his other works in The Tommyknockers!

Have you ever tried taking a hairdryer to stickers before removing them? You need to be careful not to leave it on the sticker too long, but putting some heat on the sticker before removing it really helps with getting the sticker off easily

i purchased and started reading Stephen King this week. I choose his newest Novel, Fairy Tale. i love it. His writing is so detailed and doesn't miss a beat. Especially when it comes to setup and backstory. Plan on finishing the novel this weekend. i am looking for more of his works now. Not sure if i'll read It. Seen the original movie and mini series adaptation with my mom, when i was 9-10

I read The Stand when I was in middle school years ago, and it was/is one of my all time favorites of Stephen King's. I really wanted to reread it as well but was also apprehensive because of what's going on in the world at this time. It scared me years ago reading it so I assume reading it now with what's going on will seriously terrify me. Great book though. LOVE these book haul videos!!!

Fun trick from a used bookstore in my city: if you want to get stickers off of covers without damaging them, you can use lighter fluid and a scraper. I'm sure you could find a video to confirm/see what it's like.

Ok, I haven't read Tommyknockers...but I think you should know the unfortunate history about it.
King was writing the book at quite possibly the worst time of his life for he was heavily drinking and snorting coke. In fact, he was in the middle of writing Tommyknockers when his wife, Tabitha, walked into his room only to see a trashcan full of bloodied tissues and two bloodied tissues up his nose from all the coke snorting.
Tabby and a few other friends and family staged an intervention, getting him to stop drinking and go to rehab. That forced King to stop writing Tommyknockers half-way through; and when he got out of rehab, he finished it.
And from what I heard from other constant readers on yt, the book goes downhill in the later half. In fact, I'm pretty sure King himself doesn't enjoy that book all that much.

OMG I just discovered your channel! I love your personality. Much like you, I'm trying to read more King material, so I guess we're taking a journey together!
So far, I've read Salem's Lot, The Long Walk, It, Christine and currently reading Cujo. I can't wait for you to read It and I'd actually highly recommend Christine.
I haven't read The Talisman either, but I do know it's about a kid travelling through this other dimension trying to find this object (the talisman) in order to save his dying mother....so I guess you got it right?

Christine, Pet Semetary & Salem’s Lot are Very Good too as is The Stand, his second best IMO
I didn’t enjoy The Tommyknockers, it’s so boring most of the way through as is The Long Walk from the Bachman Books.
Needful Things is Good though it is the third book in his Castle Rock trilogy after Cujo & The Dark Half if you didn’t know 😎👍🏻

In the last two months I’ve acquired 90 books. I found a jackpot of about 5-6 first editions (Cujo and The Talisman) for $12 max, unfortunately those two have no dust jackets. I’m excited to see others with my same “affliction”.
