    Gerald's game always cracked me up as a woodworker from the picture of the bedpost on the cover, like, love, kick the top of that bed post a few times, I've had them break off just moving them in my shop, and they were solid oak

    Enjoyed the video and subscribed because of it; my personal SK collection also has a glaring disappointment of which I'm reminded by your video: It's missing a dust jacket to the copy of Needful Things, which I've discovered is one of the more beautiful covers to exist. Cherish it, and be glad you're only missing Cujo! ;-)

    Besides reading manga for over 8 years or so I only started reading "Books" for like 2 years and started to pick up some more King books! I Have seen some of his movies and loved them all, so I think I can safely say that I will enjoy most of his work. I picked up The stand, Billy Summers, The long walk (One of the King books my mom read a looooong time and said it always stuck with her, so excited to start that one) and I already read Shawshank Redemption last year! Love your collection and can only dream of having that many King books one day!

      You’ve read some of my favorites by him! Definitely one of my favorite authors. And thanks! :)

      @@connormatthew I haven't read them yet, just picked them up haha. I only read Shawshank and absolutely loved it. I started The long walk last night and am now 60 pages in and am really enjoying it so far! I think the next one I'll start is The stand, since I hear nothing but great things about it but my god that book is chunky and kinda intimidating to start lol

    I loved The Dark Half and Bag of Bones. Shame you didn't enjoy them.

    • @connormatthew
      @connormatthew  Год назад +1

      Dark Half, to me, felt too similar to “Secret Window, Secret Garden” and would’ve packed a stronger punch as a novella rather than a full novel. Bag of Bones was fine for me, but the whole “writer as a protagonist” approach that King uses can wear on me a bit. I don’t regret reading them, though!

    Hello @connormatthew tbh I rather enjoyed your quick yet thorough overview of your private Stephen King collection very nice. I think I may know someone who might be willing to get you your original Cujo dust jacket but only because I know that he wants a certain autographed copy of something I currently own.... which brings me to the reason I'm actually leaving this comment for you right not so YES I may have a small hidden motive here, however please know that your video was still very entertaining and I did enjoy it very much. My hidden motive is simply that I am on a mission to find homes for all of my autographed memorabilia and I have a few books that need homes. And the one Stephen King book that I have is a very rare hard back original hand signed, autographed and dated limited edition with its original dust cover jacket made out to/for another author on 4/14/1983 as a gift. A gift for a very prominent and well known Mystery Novelist by the name of Joyce Christmas who unfortunately has since passed away in 2011. This treasured hardback copy is of the.... "Danse Macabre" a d is worth thousands of dollars, but I'm thinking that you and I could work out a deal for it so that it ends up on your bookshelf where it belongs simply because I believe you genuinely have a sincere love for Kings work and would take good care if it as I have these past 12 years or perhaps you will find someone who would. If you are at all interested in finding out what this deal entails possibly then please message me at your earliest convenience.
    Sincerely,
    ~ Mr. C
