Conseder using hip/waist bag is way better than holding something in your pockets, you can put more stuff and weigh will be distributed better than pockets without pulling down you pants (phones now are huge and heavy), also safer then holding keys and other metal objects close to skin in case you fall. Bags can be various sizes even carry bottle, and you can take them with you not only while skating.
That's always a good alternative. In regards to the pants though, they don't pull down your pants and are designed to hold phones. I've never had issues in that area. As for the keys/metal objects, I can completely understand this criticism. In the 3 years I've been skating like this, I've never had any issues, but I can see why people wouldn't want to do this.
If you slide stop at high speed a lot, dont forget to rotate your wheela more often! Wheel maintenance is key to keeping a good safe roll on your skates.
My stops are effective without slides because of aggressive skating. I stop with the inward lemon when moving slow, inward lemon with steps at medium speeds and sideways running when moving fast like how you showed on the grass@6:46. Sliding is difficult to learn on anti-rocker and will be the next trick now I have 4 wheels.
So your basically doing like a chop stop. Classic skatepark vibe ❤ somehow I strugle with this. I have come to enjoy the plow stop, I can slide or make a quick turn while plowing. Ive also been working on my power slide, but its nowhere near emergency usage...
Thanks for the tips mate, nice video. My goal is to learn how to stop by one of those sliding ways. However I started learning T-stop so to be more confident while doing city skating. P.S. your skating skills are so motivating!
Oh hell yeah! The Bladerz man is back some great tips 👍. Avoiding dogs chasing us down is another good tip. I had to do a roll dive into the grass to avoid hitting the dog 😂. Haven't heard of Strava before I'll look into it thanks.
Yeah I got chased down and bitten in the back of the leg by an unleashed canine recently while blading in a state park here. Such a weird sensation.. being pursued like a gazelle by a cheetah on the Serengeti and then having that 'fang' penetrate your skin. And then hearing the dog owner laugh to make matters worse. Yeah, get those fruit-booters, boy! Good doggie! Here's a treat.
I ALWAYS bring my bag. 🎒 I feel naked without it and I always regret it when I have a unplanned/planned stop at a shop. I do recommend empty out as much as you can and cop a Backpack that can hold the skates. It saves you walking around with them in your hand.
whats the recommended stiffness of the wheels for a powerslide/break ? ive got 80a and i fell like sliding is just impossible, im a beginner skater so that might contribute lol, just wanted some general reommendations
Most likely. I discussed in my more recent video about some of the issues I have with this video. I definitely should have stated this idea is more so a little trick, rather than something I would fully recommend doing. However, if you need to stop, and grass is all you have, I don't think you'll be thinking about your bearings in that moment hahaha.
Wow tips and tricks: 1. look before crossing the road 2. Travel light 3. Wear shorts 4. Take your phone with you 5. Take your credit card to buy things 6. Take your house keys
Still on 90mm frames, but only have 80mm wheels at the moment. Thank you! That's the great thing about them, not overly expensive like other big named brands. I'm 6ft 2, so I went with XXL. Sizing is different overseas, and you always need to order larger than you think.
6 months later... hmmmmmmmm... ENJOY!

I've got a 6L shoulder sling bag, works really well, doesn't feel as obstructive as a traditional backpack.
Whatever does the trick really :)
same here I love mine
Just bought a pair. Can’t wait for them to get here tomorrow. Thanks for the vid.
No worries! Have fun with you new Skates :)
Need an update on this
still have them? XD

Definitely. Forgot to mention that. Thank you!

excellent tips! love the grass bailout demos. subbed!
Thank you!!!
How did I miss this video until now. Great advice
Thanks for watching. Glad it helped :)

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video and I hope it helped! Definitely recommend learning the Powerslide first :)
9 years and i still cant powerslide..😅
Maybe one day I'll release a powerslide tutorial... It's a fever dream at this point.
5 years for me lol, hell I can't even crossover.
@@BladerzOfficialsorry if i am an idiot, but hockey stops and powerslides are different right?
I was like that for a long time. Didn't know how to stop properly until I was 19 years old lol.
Not at all, I don't know myself.
Teach us the soul slide you showed at 0:53
That is a Magic Slide. I've uploaded a full tutorial on my RUclips Channel. Check it out!

Thanks man! I've had a few fun encounters with dogs. It's interesting how different they all are with Skates. Would definitely recommend Strava!

thanks! I am getting my FIRST pair this Thursday!
Awesome! Have Fun!
Thanks for teaching us❤
Happy to help. Thanks for watching!
this was great! thanks a ton
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great advice. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful! :)
Going to try using a holster bag on the hip and see how that goes if not I’ll go back to the oztrail bag I use for mtb riding.
Whatever works is usually the best option, as long as it doesn't affect your actual skating.
I need more help on how to glide.🙂
What do you mean by glide?
I ALWAYS bring my bag. 🎒 I feel naked without it and I always regret it when I have a unplanned/planned stop at a shop.

To each there own :) Bags are very helpful.
great content!
Thank you!
whats the recommended stiffness of the wheels for a powerslide/break
? ive got 80a and i fell like sliding is just impossible, im a beginner skater so that might contribute lol, just wanted some general reommendations
I'd recommend 85a - 90a from personal experience. 80a is too soft, and anything above 90a is too hard.
Ay buddy can u give me a tricks how jump and skits on inline skating.
not really. just jump and hope for the best.
I'm looking at getting a leg bag as backpacks shift my weight to the rear a bit.
Fair enough. Whatever works :)
I’m almost 34, should I learn skating?
Yes
agreed.
doesnt the grass tip ruin my bearings and the advanced one stuff my wheels though?

I wish I was such a pro so that Im not afraid to fall or think about balance all too much while not wearing protection gear.
It took me a long time to get to this point.
How did I get here? I haven't Rollerblade since 1990. Looks like fun I may look into that this summer. My old skate is heavy and huge
That's awesome. Gotta love RUclips. Should be much easier to get yourself a new pair these days :)
Wow tips and tricks:
1. look before crossing the road
2. Travel light
3. Wear shorts
4. Take your phone with you
5. Take your credit card to buy things
6. Take your house keys
I should pin this.
grass stop, my favourite
It is a good one :)
What’s your wheel hardness?
I stick between 85a and 90a personally.
@@BladerzOfficial thanks for a quick response I’m trying to improve at roller hockey
Back on 80mm?
Great video and tips.
The pant is quite affordable.
What size did you choose?
Still on 90mm frames, but only have 80mm wheels at the moment. Thank you! That's the great thing about them, not overly expensive like other big named brands. I'm 6ft 2, so I went with XXL. Sizing is different overseas, and you always need to order larger than you think.
@@BladerzOfficial Thanks man.
I got rollerblades for today and it’s my first time and my dog was on the floor so I used tip 1
Hahaha dogs are fun! Hope you're enjoying skating! :)
6:45 45 degree angle
what kind of go pro you use?
I actually use a Insta360 camera. I have it linked in the description :)
What liners are those pls
These were the default liners I got with my Powerslide NEXT Skates.
The moment you'll fall on your butt your housekeys may slide into it 😂😂😂
God I hope not xD
Been a while since you posted.
Indeed. Sticking to my 1 video a year upload schedule lol.
thank you for the tips
No worries. Hope the video helped!
Nice
Thank you Pezent ;)
