Great thing about skating like this is that even if you're just learning, or messing up a lot in a session, you'll still probably end up laughing, and smiling at the end. Especially if you're with other people, I remember my first time skating with others was probably the funnest day!
The first time I was skating I probably looked like Bambi walking
Skating with my crew back in the day was so much fun. I'm literally the only blader in my town and the razor kids and skateboarders at the local plaza are nice but it's not the same. No comradery, not a lot of talking at all. Such a bummer cause when I'm out there I want to cheer people on and support what they're doing. I still enjoy it though and try to push myself to be a good ambassador for blading.

I was a roller for 2 years. 3 years later I have come back to remember my old golden days. I know it won´t be easy, but it will make me happy
I never skated ever but I decided to pick up during this quarantine too! And boy it was awesome to have a purpose again in life hahah instead of being home all day

One day you'll fell that you've just lost interest in rollerbalding and that's it. Sadly, it happened to me some time ago, i didn't want it to happen but it did because I found rollerbalding the only way of escaping reality and enjoying my life.
@@justateacher7527 Ahhh see I've had 14 years of unhealthy habits that I've been using to escape reality. With rollerblading on either side. So I think I'll have the opposite problem and it's a problem that I genuinely worry about. And that is that I won't be able to skate as much as I want to before I'm physically unable to.
Like now I'm currently out with a serious elbow injury and I just feel like there's such limited time left that it pisses me off.
I guess I hope I get to the point that I could skate enough that I'd tire of it. ✌️

Roces, USD check them out, versatile skates of all sizes. Personally I ride USD Sway 57s which are about £130

Just for you to understand my passion, i started to kiss the ground with 11, now i'm 42 and of course there no more 2 hours aggressive routine at the park or urban invasion but a sidewalk by the sea when old times feels strong you can find a metal stair handrail from time to time and make a try... a mistake means a week or 2 of home medical atention but with luck they will send me a 22 years old nurse will resulting at least in a 3 weeks treatment hahaha
Keep it rolling. I'm about the same, started before 10, now hitting the 40 mark. I got the helmet and I'm being more cautious, but aggressive skating is not dead !

I remember my first pair of trick skates my mom got at a yard sale 10 years ago I was 18 years old I loved skating I would listen to my mp3 player and just skate away. I'm going to buy me a new pair of skates and start off again.

What skates are best for turns and spins?
Depends in which environment you wish to turn and spin. Roller rink? Skatepark? City streets? There are lots of skates that are great for agile manoeuvres. The real deciding factors are your preferred discipline of skating and the environment.

What brand/model of skates are these guys using?
It doesn’t matter. There are at least a dozen brands that are all plenty capable. After that it’s all about the rider and, less so, the technical setup. For aggressive skating: THEM, MESMER, GAWDS, USD, SEBA, FR, RAZORS, ROCES, VALO, IQON, TRIGGER, ADAPT, ROLLERBLADES, REMZ are all good enough to do the tricks. Most people simply can’t get that good. Period. Of those that can, physically, most won’t yet again due to psychological limitations. But the few that can and will and then do become that good… those folks can do it in whatever skates they want. A virtuoso violinist can play Bach on an Amazon violin and make it sound amazing. A novice can make twinkle tinkle little star sound like trash on a 10 million dollar Strad. It’s not about the violin, and it’s not about the skates. One of the biggest lies our culture sells is that you have to have all kinds of super expensive crap before you can start any new hobby (EG $10,000 “mountain” bikes) and it’s a bunch of bullshit designed to keep us working our asses off in hopes of maybe doing something fun someday. Just get some second hand or clearance skates and go skate. Then you’ll figure out what you when you’re good enough to need it. Hell there are five or six different categories of skates based on the style and environment of the skater: speed, urban, slalom, freestyle, aggressive (park and street are different too), hockey, etc.

@Coffex CS Yeah it seems like alot of kids today just stay inside watching youtube or play video games and don't do much sports at all. I mean I got into blading and an whole alot of stuff just by hanging outside with friends everyday drinking and meeting new people. So that be one of the explanation?

I personally started skateboarding but i was never a natural...i wish i actually tried to do aggressive inline cause i used to love to rollerblade as a kid...i had a good foundation...something i didnt have skateboarding
