I disagree when people said that this should be a chase scene. The point of this scene with the music was to create the sense of fear and unsafe of not knowing if Michael chasing her or not. She just run without knowing Michael chasing her or not and i think that’s brilliant and the build up was great. I totally felt that sense just by the horror he delivered, i was on the edge and i like that. I need more of that
To me, the music is Allyson’s true introduction into a world where the Boogeyman is actually real. He doesn’t really have to be near her at all; through this killing, he’s already dismantled what Allyson thought were concrete boundaries of possibility. Now everything is within the purview of this danger. I think the music represents that well.

That's true. You don't need chase scenes in horrors. They can work without a single one.
Like you said it building fear for allyson but also her introduction with Micheal as she has only heard of the stories and trauma Laurie went through with but know she’s face to face with the boogeyman

I love right when Michael killed that kid the lights turned off and that makes Michael a boogeyman who moves in the shadows like he's not alive or human which he actually is and his mask symbolizes evil which all those patients and dogs in the beginning sensed it and knows it's not just a mask Michael made that mask into something that no one will ever forget in 1978 and considers it his real face cause that is who he accepts and wants to be, Michael will always be my favorite horror slasher
If something like this ever happened for real. There would be no music no suspense or cool camera work it'd just be a huge guy in creepy mask chasing you and no matter how far you run he always catches up to you until the terrifying reality slowly sets in that you're going to die

this has gotta be a callback to the original Halloween, where Laurie is cut on her arm & goes looking for someone in the neighborhood to help her .
The reason this scene was so amazing was the fact that it directly harkoned back to the old Halloween, when Laurie walks into the house completely unaware there is a killer, and then she starts finding her friends corpses. It's called "discovery fear" and it's EXTREMELY effective in horror films.

This scene should have turned into a chase sequence where Michael chased Allison!
Entertainment Wizard well he was chasing her, the movie just didn't show it happening like it did with Laurie. But yeah, he did chase her.

Obviously Myers teleported 2 in front of the motion sensing lights & poor Oscar besides there's no possible way he could've gotten in between the lights & poor Oscar that quickly by walking as well as without being heard as well seen moving 2 in between lights & by poor Oscar who was also looking at the lights after they switched off all the sudden!

It’s supposed to convey his almost inhuman presence, he strikes so swiftly it was like the lights didn’t even register his movements completely. It’s not entirely accurate to how the lights work but that’s the idea
At 3:16, Michael would appear and say one word like: Run 😈 to Allyson, so she will tell Dr. Sartain later in the police car.

My 3 favorite things are fantasy, syfy and horror. Michael Myers mask is a captain Kirk mask from the star trek series. What they did was paint the mask white and cut open the eyes more. And wala! Halloween is my all time favourite movie and seeing the mask reminds me of star trek. Maybe that's why I can have the stomach for gruesome Halloween flicks. It's funny cause the Halloween 1 movie was in 1978 and that's the year I was born. I guess you see my point on why I love Halloween and star trek so much. I also love Harry Potter and fantastic beasts even though it has nothing to do with your video. I felt I had to express that to you. Thanks for giving me this video. I loved it. It just occurred to me. Michael Meyers is not really evil. The guy has been bludgeoned, stabbed and shot and is still alive. Only the power of God can do that.
