600whp in a car that light needs tires that wide for sure. Love the backdated front clip. Excellent unit overall that you can flog all day with the air on and not care. Looks like that’s exactly what Laura does. Well done 👍
This is a killer build rims and the color really make it look factory ish. I love how she really knows about cars. Another great moment for the channel.
agree with the original sentiment, and i was going to pick on the number of times he asks, "do you know what you have..." but there's plenty of rich car owners who write the check and don't know, either.
That exhaust rumble is simply intoxicating! I love those beefy 345s on the rear and the way the exhaust tips are mounted in the bumper. Nice and clean built car!
@@squarebodybuilderyep. Was waiting for that. I was counting cost and thought how can a twenty something afford….ohhhh! The giveaway for me was the continuous “ Such a great car Laura ( don’t say Emily…don’t say Emily). Confirmed on her instagram. Lol

My favorite gen Camaro aesthetically speaking. Everything about this build is so perfect for that chassis & it's still a street car. Rips hard, sounds perfect. The combo of owner & ride is like sensory overload. Too good
There is something so freaking cool that this young lady knows her car inside out every detail and spec, she put real thought into the build I love the Momo wood wheel and shifter knob the combo works so well with the wheels, paint and interior. 600 whp with a T56 is a killer setup for a 3200lb car, the sound and she is adorable too and obviously can drive the wheels off this beast! The car, her look and the fact she auto-crosses the car just adds to her gearhead status!
I had a 70 R/S Camaro that I let get away from me years ago... one of my biggest regrets throughout my time in the hobby . I used to be a purest where it came to hot rods in that they had to be "period correct' , but I've completely fallen in love with the "pro touring" aspect of the hobby & really wouldn't build anything but that style , moving forward . I hope to buy another 70 R/S someday soon but I'm currently invested in making my 1960 Chevrolet Biscayne an LS powered street beast & that dream of another Camaro will have to be put on hold a few more years. Gorgeous car , Laura ... hope to see you laying rubber sometime in the future.
These cars ride nice and corner pretty darn good. About 9 years back I drove 71 an all orignals RS around NY,mind you this before the car became popular. Everybody had their opinions about it,some would say the 67-69 is better and I was like yes they are nice but these are better, then some local actually bought the same car because he liked mine. I basically fixed it up and kept it in it's orignal state with the original engine, but tuned is so many times that it pretty much ran like it had fuel injection. I fixed it up to drive and enjoy while Id go to the car show and guys would tell me that theirs was apart in the garage but people wanted to see the car so I kept driving it. The concept was to do what most guys would not do,to show people can drive an orignal car and have fun without having to take it apart and let it sit for years. I broke down a few times, but it was the exprience of driving this car that made me understand how you can push these old cars. All the while never seen another one,but now in the last few years they are all over. Some would say they liked the way it looked all original while others would just tell me to get the body restored, either way I made a statemnt with the car. A very straight and good handling car until one night after a year and half of driving it,a deer decided to leap over the front end of the car,and he came up short. I hit his leg at about close to 70,pushed the bumper in,crushed the fender like an accordian, cracked the windshield which was replaced right before that. These cars are fun, they are light in weight, they handle good and they can be extremely fast but do not drive them at night time,it's risky with this type of car! To me its one of the best looking and designed sports cars gm has ever built.
I love this car and Laura is a true car enthusiast. Saw this car on a Speedtech interview and so glad you featured this car. I am in the process of building a '70 Camaro now, DSE tubs are in, new quarters and tail panel is done. Hope some day to put in the Speedtech torque arm with the Art Morrison front clip I have. Awesome car Laura!! Sweet Ride & a Hotrod Chick at heart. Gotta love it when it all comes together. Thanks for sharing your car, Good Luck to you on the track! I don’t think this will be the last we see of Laura & her AWESOME Camaro!!
In the 80s there’s this chick named Jamie who had a 68 Chevelle that had that color. Beautiful color loved it. Your Camaro is very cool and done right. The smile on Laura’s face is awesome! Great video 👍🏻
Props to Shawn for being the kind of guy a girl feels so evidently at ease while in a car with, too, chilled chemistry with Laura smiling and not feeling awkward.
What an awesome ride!! The way that motor snarls back at you is so cool!! This car has had all the right things done to it! Props to Laura for creating one killer ride!!👍👍
really well done build. thank you for not overdoing it! simple deep green, small early spoiler, no 1500hp, ergonomics done right. suspension & brakes seem reasonable(now install a Bosch ABS system!) and total drivers car.
Stumbled upon Laura and her Camaro on her Instagram a couple years ago and have followed her progress with her Camaro since. I’m a Ford guy but I have great appreciation for all well done cars regardless of the badge it wears and Laura’s car ticks all the boxes. It looks awesome in every aspect, the mods are all well thought out and executed really well and I just love that it’s simple and more importantly it gets DRIVEN and driven hard. Look forward to when you get to shoot Laura’s C10 project when that’s finished.
the skeleton on the rear mirror is the last touch for a super cool car what I like the most is the deafening sound is amazing, specially on this no sound beginning era. Laura you know Your stuff, thanks for bring this muscle car to live.
Beautiful car but Laura... wow she sets all the alarms off. What a combo. Thanks for the spin! Putting the older front nose on it was the right choice too. I'd love if you could put your rides up on a lift for a peak underneath... I'm sure she has all the right stuff under there if she's doing autocross.
When I was in college in the 1980's a neighbor of mine had a 1971 Z28 Camaro that he kept garaged and looked like it just driven off the showroom floor. I used to dream about owning that car but based on the care he gave it figured he would never sell that car in a million years. Then one day the car was gone and I later learned he had sold it. "You're badass Laura" A beautiful car for a beautiful woman/car geek. My dad taught me to drive in a '69 GTO when I was 13 and I am now lucky enough to own a 32 option numbers matching specimen now. But, unlucky in that there is no way I can modify it because of the rarity of it with the options. One of them is cornering lamps for $32 at the time of purchase and probably only a few with them. I wish I could resto-mod it but, I suppose if I did want to do a resto-mod GTO I might as well just start with a Le Mans and clone it.
