Love that superocean vs the new one. my next watch Im looking at the Omega 300M new one vs a Tudor BB 58 blue. Trying to make it to the city to look at both at some point.
Had the option of the sub and the PO over 10 years ago. Plumped for the Omega in this video and haven’t looked back once. It’s absolute killer! It has a certain charm the latter ones don’t have and I’d a watch I’ll never sell. It got me heavily into the brand and always puts a smile on my face when I look at it. Great video 👍
Man, I truly agree on the ceramic! 1st Planet-Ocean is my favourite watch!! Also this gen of the Sub, but.... I need to grow older for the sub :). Love your comparison!
I also have the 44mm Superocean II, I bought it with rubber dive strap but then I found a genuine brand new bracelet online, the correct bracelet for the watch. I love mine too will never part with it, I also have an Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m 43.5mm, a later model than the one in the video with 8900 movement and black ceramic dial and bezel, I love it too. I have an 8 inch wrist I prefer watches that are 44mm.
I've had the pleasure of owning all three of these watches as well. Today only the Breitling stuck around. The planet ocean I never got used how flat it wears and how wide end link to end link are. The sub I ended up trading for a Sea Dweller 16660 but both got a bit boring to me, perhaps due to their ubiquitous nature of their design.
I have the Seamaster Planet Ocean 600m 43.4mm (8900 movement) with black ceramic dial and bezel, and I have the Breitling Superocean II 44mm with blue dial and bezel. I love them both and will never sell either, I alternate wear them every day, dive style watches are also my favourite watches.
Good review. I’m fortunate to have the Breitling and the PO. I got them both for about half the price of the sub. It’s hard justify a sub with both of these in the collection, but it’s definitely a nice piece.
I own two of these, the PO and the Sub, in nearly scratch-free conditions. Their proportions are VASTLY superior to the later models', and I like the understated look of aluminum bezels better than shiny ceramic. It's sad to see tool watches become ever chunkier and more blingy these few years.
So I know that I am probably the exception to the rule, but i have the newest generation Seamaster in blue on the OEM rubber strap and I wear it in the ocean frequently as a diver, spearfisherman and fisherman. It is still a wonderful tool watch and the ceramic bezel has survived many hard knocks. I believe the price for a replacement is around 400 dollars if you smash it, so I am not too worried about it.
I too really like that super ocean and have been lucky to have had several Breitlings over the years. But I’ve been going back and forth between a super ocean 44 (blacksteel) m17393 or 46mm M17368B71B1S1 vs pelagos M25610TNL-0001. Really love divers, maybe I think they’re built to withstand the elements or something but my 16600 is an absolute tank. Thanks
Mostly name/brand etc, but also the Superocean doesn't use an inhouse Breitling movement, Breitling call the movement the Breitling Calibre 17 movement but it's actually either an ETA 2824 or a Sellita, Breitling use either of these as the base for the Calibre 17 movement and you could have either in your Superocean, the only way to tell is to get it opened and count the jewels, the ETA has 25 jewels while the Sellita has 26 jewels other than that they are identical, they are both still high end Swiss movements and Breitling assemble them and brand them as Breitling but they aren't actually Breitling movements, the Rolex and the Omega both have inhouse Rolex and Omega movements.
Omega is the better watch out of all 3. The planet ocean 2500 42mm is the ultimate and still the best PO omega has released. They still undervalued for what they are
I have a 6.2 inch wrist, the planet Ocean 39.5 I would love to get. The Breitling is a very nice watch but sadly much too big for me, their 36's feel too small 🤔
omega should bring back the 2264.50.00/ 2254.50.00
Loved the shots in the sun light. Three beautiful watches. The Omega looks fantastic.
Love that superocean vs the new one. my next watch Im looking at the Omega 300M new one vs a Tudor BB 58 blue. Trying to make it to the city to look at both at some point.
I have that Omega PO but with the classic orange bezel, it's a beautiful watch and wears really nicely. 👍
That breitling and Omega are super badass...
Nailed it about the super case and ceramic bezel…too bright, blingy, boujie.
Thanks for watching
Solid dive collection 👍🏽 you considering expanding? Say adding a Pam 111 / 112 ?
Yes I’ve had a few Pam’s in the past but never a 112 or 111 ! I would definitely want one ☝️
Great vid. 3 stunners!

Great choice! Thanks for watching
Enviable collection. Congratulations!
I quite enjoy your channel, its honest, lowkey and candid. Keep up the good work, I am sure you are fun to have a drink with and talk watches...

I have the 44mm Superocean, and I absolutely love it!!! The lume just amazes me!!!
Have the 42mm white dial. Absolute main stay in the collection

Only sketchy guys wear Brietling
@@chefgav1 You mean like airline pilots and professional divers etc?
@@ats-3693 was on Joe Rogan report. It’s an actual thing.

What's the weight of the PO compared to the Sub? Thanks 👍
I’m not sure but they feel close to the same . Thanks for watching
@@ChrisMarshall1978007 thanks very much. A great trio
breitling for the win!
great collection of divers.
Thank You

Which has the best lume in terms of legibility and longevity?
Three outstanding watches 👍🏻💯
Thank You 😊

And thanks for setting your watches down properly on their crown… I’ve been harping about this for eons. Lol
I love all the models you mentioned. Would rather have the 42 mm SUPEROCEAN tho over bigger size
I like your style sir. You have the 3 best divers from each brand. I personally prefer the Omega Seamaster 2254.50 over the PO though.
I’ve owned that one as well and po is better
Looking at this video kinda makes you wonder why is the Rolex 10k used and the Breitling 3k. What gives?

Is there a reason why they were displayed crown down???
No
@@ChrisMarshall1978007 Thanks, I’m new to the game, only collecting about a year and a half so far now, so I was just wondering.
Omega gets the chocolates here
