I feel my french is improving rapidly by listening to the french and english explanation at the same time
Thank you! ☺️ Yes it’s a fun way to improve your French comprehension 🇫🇷
Love this video and great storytelling about finding the best croissant in Paris!
I will definitely check out Carton on my next visit.
Maybe it will top my current favorite which is La M’aison d’Isabelle
Bonjour! Please do and let me know how you find it. I haven't tried Maison d'Isabelle !
Love the mix of English and French. I'm trying to learn French and it really helps to hear someone speaking French in real life.
Merci beaucoup ☺️ I Will try to include more real life French and conversations
@@FrenchWithElle Merci!
Thanks for the nice videos. Both of you are awesome! Paris et la France nous manque. Bienvenue en Floride.
fun watching this in addition to Theo's posting, and will post in my blog, may you receive many guests. i particularly enjoy hearing the French with the English -- it's been 60 years since I spoke it.
Merci beaucoup, thank you! Yes we see each other often! I try to incorporate more French in the videos now 🇫🇷💕
From the USA. Where I live we can not get "hand-made" croissants. Only some supermarkets have factory made crossants which they bake on the premises. I am jealous of your ability to work into any bakery and order a hand made croissant.
In many places it seems there are only the factory made ones, nothing better than a fresh croissant 🥐 !
THAT was such a good video with Theo. Good eats 4 sure. Merci for trying these for us to know. 💝💝💖
Fluctuat nec mergitur.
I like croissant and the pain au chocolat as well, because they are big and the dough is fluffy.
I`d like to learn daily conversation of French and go to Paris again in the next year or so!
À bientôt!
Merci! Croissants and pain au chocolat are delicious! Learning daily French conversation sounds great. Hope you have an amazing time in Paris next year! À bientôt!
Frankly,I love to make different flavors croissants at home
Thank you for making this video! I will go try Mamiche next time when I'm around the neighborhood!
Mamiche has amazing pastries! I've heard great things about their sandwiches which I would love to try. Maybe to share in another video !
The croissants I’m used to (in Sydney) have the little “crab claws” at the front. But nearly all the ones I’ve seen on YT Paris videos do not, they are all a straight funnel shape.
A bit confused here. 🤣
Bonjour! I would say trust the country that invented them, in France 🇫🇷 haha perhaps if I go to Australia I can try one someday!
@@FrenchWithElle Bonjour! I’ll be in Paris for a few days in September. I’m expecting to buy a croissant every morning (at a boulangerie?) for breakfast.
The Paul Le Café croissant looked industrial to me and didn't have the laminated, layered look. The other ones looked so much better!
Paul, it's only a brand. Never been inside. Don't mind the est.1889 on the bag, does not always mean, quality. Boulangeries Paul SAS has its global headquarters in Marcq-en-Barœul, in the Lille region of France, and operates in 47 countries. Paul has 10,500+ employees.
Yes indeed! It’s not where I go when I’m craving croissants 🥐
Excellente vidéo. Maintenant je sais où trouver mes croissants à Paris!! Délicieuse.
Génial !
Loved this video! Which camera do you use?
Bonjour! Thank you ! When I use my camera its the Fujifilm XS-10 series but now I mainly use iPhone 15 when 'on the go'!
O have watched several videos about the best croissant in paris. This is the meilleur par loin! Merci
Merci beaucoup! ☺️🥐
From the USAA. Were you raaised - brought up -in the USA or France? Your command of English and Frenhn is exceellent.
Hello! I have never lived in America - but I would love to! I was born in France then grew up in Asia (as I am half French half Asian). Merci beaucoup, thank you! ☺
That is the first thing that I do arriving with the Thalys ( now Eurostar) => Go to Carton.
Oui I love their croissants! 🥐
Paul cafe c’est de l’industrie. We have Paul Cafe in Miami. I would stay away from Paul when in Europe for sure.
Oui, there are so many more options here! Especially in France 🇫🇷
From the USA Gabrielle, I live in the New York City area. Here we love our NYC BAGELS. Do you have bagel stores in Paris? And what arrondessments are the store located in?
I actually have only eaten bagles once in Paris in a place called Bagelstein, it's a chain though. French people we prefer to go to 'Boulangeries' bakeries to test all the amazing sandwich, panini, salted tarts and pastry options ☺
Boulangerie carton ,j,etais déçu, un vrai croissant je t,explique, le papier emballage est beurré . ( tâché par le beurre)😊😊
Tourist
Veuillez parler en français et non en anglais😊🥐
My croissant detector must be getting better. As soon as I saw Paul's croissant I could tell it would not be good. It was very wrinkled. Not an encouraging sign.🥐👀
Do you know how much we pay for a high quality croissant in L.A.? About $6. Sometimes a bit more. I am shocked by the great prices in Paris. I think I would be eating a good deal more croissants if I lived there. I would be very happy about it too!😋🥐💕
Bonjour! Wow not cheap in LA. Yes as it comes from here its reasonable - and they are delicious ! 🤗
I just bought a Pain au Chocolat here in LA from a Belgian chain (Le Pain Quotidien) that's nearby. Not bad, better than any of the completely industrial ones you find in supermarkets, but not as good as the best in Paris. And it was very small and cost $5.25 plus tax (so close to $5.75 total).
@@jeffsherman91 I know this place. It's has some decent food. There are a couple places I go to for quality croissants. One is Tartine. They have croissants as big as a bear paw. Very delicious. There's Proof, which is excellent. And also a local cafe owned by a French baker/pastry chef. He makes outstanding food.
