    After watching hours of videos and weeks of research I decided on this grill. Planned to buy one this spring (still a ways away here in Alaska). Found one on Amazon for $250ish and put it in my "cart". Yesterday I thought I'd run into town and check local prices and availability. First stop was Lowe's in Anchorage. Walked in the door right into their grill display area and they had a Master Touch, assembled, display front and center. when I saw the price tag I almost peed myself. Was $275, Clearance $68.72. Complete grill, mint condition. I'm pretty jazzed. Thanks for your video that helped me pull the trigger on a great deal.

      If I makes it easier for you, I am also thinking of buying this one, the price here in Greece is at 409 euros 😅

      You lucky devil you really got a bargain there. Here in the UK. We have to pay such high prices for a master touch Premier weber kettle.£349

    Like you I have had the basic model 27inch basic Weber kettle for over 20 years. About 4 years ago I bought the master touch thinking I would replace the old kettle - mainly due to the inbuilt thermometer. I have hardly used it. I do like that is is a couple of inches taller than the old kettle. The build quality has been awesome. . The old kettle has withstood 20 years of English winters uncovered. I cannot recommend highly enough.
    I also learnt something new by watching your video, the old kettles lid has a hook!
    Thanks for the video.

      They do hide that hook on the old kettle. I sold my old one with hook used for almost what I had paid for it new several years prior. I remember placing the lid on the patio, before discovering that the hook was there LOL. Weber build quality is excellent and none of my Webers have rusted due to being kept uncovered. In my opinion, Weber is the perfect grill! Hopefully they never skimp on quality control. I plan to stick with this Weber for the long haul unless Weber releases something radically new. The main reason that I bought Master Touch was the ash catcher upgrade. My old Weber simply had a saucer to catch the ashes and since I grill on a wooden deck now and there is typically a lot of wind, I didn’t want to take any chances.

      Wish that I could be but too many side hustles! I do grill and chill as much as time permits though :)

    I have several grills. Including three pellet smokers. But by far my weber kettle grill is my favorite. Several years old and still going.

      I’m a tinkerer and always love to play with the latest and “greatest” of everything. When it comes to grills, I haven’t found one better made than Weber. My previous Weber after many years of use was pretty much mint but I gave it to a friend and upgraded to this one since I use it on a deck and want to be able to more conveniently dump the ashes.

      There really isn't. Hopefully Weber continues to build them to last a lifetime, so that I don't feel the itch to upgrade unless they release a new model with unexpectedly cool features =)

    My wife told me that our Weber Master Touch "cheepens up our decor." I filed for divorce the next day. Nothing and I mean nothing stands between me and my Weber!

    nice view be up there all the time to! Quick question..new to charcoal..just ordered the same one tonight...but i'm single so usually do a steak or maybe 2 burgers at a time..seems like i might be going through alot of charcoal. can you resuse it if your just doing a 30 minute cook? seeing alot of variation on that

      I typically have some coals that didn’t burn all of the way and I toss them on top of the new coals, so that I don’t waste them. Welcome to the charcoal grilling game and please subscribe to my channel and check out all of my grilling videos! #ChefIrixGuy

    I'll never use anything other than a Weber kettle. They are 100% worth the price and they stand behind their product. 10 year warranty. 9 years and 50 weeks into it and the bowl rusts? Boom. Replacement on the way. Weber forever.

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  5 месяцев назад

      I agree! I intentionally keep my Weber grills uncovered outside. They never rust or degrade. It’s great! I wish that Weber made dishwashers too. Dishwashers seem to fail in my house every few years.

    Been banging my head up against a wall about deciding Choosing a Weber Mastertouch or a PK 300 Aaron Franklin model, both have their pros and cons, Weber have a vast amount of accessories where as the PK don’t have so many. In the end I decided on the PK 300 AF. Wins hands down for me. Solid and bulletproof, expensive but will last forever.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

      However, I must say I watched your video intensely and also the information below on all the tools you need to have a good barbecue. I am going for Weber equivalent purely for the stainless steel grills. Contrary to what people think we have seven months winter in the UK, and if you leave anything out or even put it in the shed it will rust in one year. Thanks again. It was a well narrated video but Especially it gave us a lot of information. Thanks
