My layout is in an extra bedroom that is about 10 ft. x 12 ft. The layout is about 6-1/2' x 9-1/2' in overall dimensions. One edge of the layout is up against a wall. If you do the math, you'll see that the layout pretty much fills the room and aisles are adequate (but not generous). We'd all like to have much more room for our layouts than our houses usually provide - so, we make compromises.

Nice job with the scenery and the terrain work. What is the size of the layout? I finished my small layout in 2011. Have a look when you get a chance.
